EP 28: HERstory: Nadia Murad
DISCLAIMER: This episode contains topics related to war, genocide, and sexual violence. Listener discretion is advised.
Today's episode is about Nadia Murad - a remarkable Yazidi human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner. A woman who has made it her life’s mission to advocate for the Yazidi people who are undergoing a current genocide. To talk about Nadia, we must first talk about her people- the Yazidi & their religion.
This is an incredibly hard episode to do but these topics must be talked about. We must educate ourselves, bring awareness, and donate to end the relentless persecutions of the Yazidi people.
