A Dream, A Savior, A Divine Plan

The birth of Jesus Christ begins with a miraculous and divine event. Mary, betrothed to Joseph, is found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit before their union. Joseph, described as a just and compassionate man, faces a moral dilemma. He plans to quietly end the engagement to protect Mary from public disgrace and potential punishment. However, God intervenes through an angel who appears to Joseph in a dream. The angel reassures him, calling him “son of David” to remind him of his royal lineage and the prophecy tied to the Messiah. The angel reveals that Mary’s child is conceived by the Holy Spirit and instructs Joseph to take her as his wife. The child is to be named Jesus, meaning “The Lord saves,” as He is destined to save His people from their sins. This moment not only confirms Mary’s innocence but also sets the stage for the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan for humanity.
