What’s in Your Hand? God’s Multiplication Starts There

In 2 Kings 4:1–7, a desperate widow, facing debt and the loss of her sons to slavery, turns to the prophet Elisha for help. Elisha asks her what she has, and she replies, “A jar of oil.” Following his instructions, she borrows empty vessels, shuts the door, and begins pouring. Miraculously, the oil flows until every vessel is full. She sells the oil, pays her debt, and secures her family’s future. This story illustrates God’s ability to turn scarcity into abundance when we act in faith. It reminds us to start with what we have, trust God’s limitless provision, and make room for His blessings in our lives.
