The Transfiguration of Jesus on the mountain was a divine revelation of His true nature as the Son of God. With His face shining like the sun and His clothes glowing white, Jesus gave Peter, James, and John a glimpse of His heavenly glory. Joined by Moses and Elijah representing the Law and the Prophets—this moment symbolized Jesus as the fulfillment of God’s promises. God’s voice from the cloud declared Jesus as His beloved Son, commanding the disciples to listen to Him above all else. Overwhelmed with fear, the disciples were reassured by Jesus’ touch and words, “Do not be afraid.” This event was a powerful reminder of Jesus’ divine authority and the call to trust and follow Him.
