Your Mouth Is Snitching on Your Faith

Mankind has tamed lions, snakes, sharks, and eagles—but James drops the hammer: nobody can tame the tongue, "an unruly evil, full of deadly poison" (James 3:8). The same mouth that shouts blessings to God turns around and curses the very people made in His image, and Scripture flatly says, "these things ought not to be so" (James 3:10). A spring can't pour fresh water and bitter from the same opening, and a fig tree can't bear olives—so your words aren't a mask you wear, they're a mirror exposing what's really in your heart. Every time you rehearse the symptoms and speak defeat, you're canceling the faith you claim, because doubt and belief can't flow from the same stream.
