Satan failed once and came right back with a fresh angle, proving that one victory never ends the war — when he retreats, he is only reloading, studying your weakness and repackaging the same old lie in shinier wrapping. This time he dangled the right destination through the wrong door: the very kingdoms God had already promised Jesus, minus the cross, and he still runs this play on you, tempting you toward God's goals by your own easy way. But Jesus refused to negotiate; He shut it down cold with Scripture — "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve" — reminding you that if convictions aren't settled before the offer comes, you've already lost the ground.
