A Biblical Look at ICE and the Immigrant

Thomas Cruthis

Immigration is a complex issue that requires biblical wisdom rather than political extremes. Scripture reveals God's heart for foreigners through commands to show compassion, provide opportunities for work, and protect the vulnerable. However, God also expected immigrants to assimilate into the community and contribute to society. Government authority comes from God, including the responsibility to enforce laws and maintain order. Christians should respond by praying for everyone involved, seeing all people as image bearers, and avoiding political extremes. We must find balance between supporting just laws and opposing actual injustice while remembering that both immigrants and law enforcement officers need the gospel.
