California Election Chaos Exposed: Slow Counts, Gym Card Voting & What It Means for November
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this hard-hitting episode of The Ryan Samuels Show, disabled U.S. veteran and no-nonsense conservative voice Ryan F. Samuels breaks down the mess from California’s June 2, 2026 statewide primary election.
Ryan dives deep into the top-two “jungle primary” results, the open governor’s race featuring Xavier Becerra advancing while Steve Hilton fights for the Republican slot against big-money Democrats like Tom Steyer. He exposes the painfully slow ballot counting process, the flood of mail-in votes, and why results are still trickling in days later.
Ryan doesn’t hold back on the controversies: duplicate ballot issues, the lack of strict voter ID requirements (yes, a gym membership card can be enough in some cases), signature verification games, provisional ballots, and the “red mirage” effect that keeps everyone guessing. From a veteran’s perspective who values integrity and self-reliance, he asks the tough questions about election security in the most populous — and deeply blue — state in America.
You’ll hear practical analysis on how this primary sets up the critical November 2026 showdown, what it reveals about California’s governance failures on housing, crime, costs, and energy, and why every American should care about the Golden State’s direction.
Raw truth, zero corporate media spin, and real-talk solutions. This is the episode patriots need as we head into the general election.

Good evening, Patriots. Welcome to the Ryan Samuel Show. It is wonderful and it is awesome to be back after a long break. We're going to get into it. We're going to get straight back like we never left, which we kind of didn't. We just took a little bit of time off. But uh for all of you still tuning in, thank you for all of the support over the years. We're going to continue and get back to our nightly shows at 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, Eastern Standard Time. And as always, you can call into the show live on the air at 561-786-2916. And we will listen. We will debate. Again, that number is 563-794-7005. We have some chaos going on in the world. As usual, Sunny California is causing some major, major controversy in the world, uh, particularly with its insane voting habits. Now, the the races that are going on in California are incredibly controversial. We're seeing similar patterns as we did in the presidential election of 2020, where um uh unlimited, almost unrestricted mail-in ballots were coming in um from anywhere and anywhere in the middle of the night, days, weeks later, and they're being counted towards the vote. And the conservative and republican movement hates this. So there's a couple of reasons that they hate it. Uh the main reason that conservatives and Republicans hate it is because it is not only inefficient, it is ripe with opportunity for fraud, right? We're gonna get we're gonna take a deep dive into that tonight. Um, the the opportunity for fraud is astounding. Um, it is certainly there. I'm not saying that widespread voter fraud is happening. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that the opportunity for voter fraud to happen is placed there by California's system. And nobody is going to change my mind. And by the time I am done this evening discussing it, nobody will be able to change your mind as well. So, a couple of things that you need to know about California and their voting, right? Number one, everybody automatically, unequivocally, without argument, without debate, without anything, is given a mail and ballot. They are sent a mail and ballot. You do not have to request one. Everybody is automatically issued one. That's number one. Number two, you do not need ID to vote in the state of California. Literally, you walk into a poll, you cast your vote, and you leave. Nobody needs to verify who you are. Nobody verifies whether or not you voted for 10 people in 20 different precincts, right? It's wide open with a problem. California is a major issue with their elections. Uh, most voters, when they vote, they literally just sign and vote. An ID is only required in extremely limited cases, right? It's there is no excuse not to have an ID to vote. If if my son wants to play T-ball, he needs to produce his birth certificate. He needs to prove he's a citizen of the of the county, he's a citizen of the United States, and that he is um eligible to play. He's three years old. But in California, we have this pygmy system where it is completely unregulated. If you receive a ballot at your home at 123 Main Street and you move, right, six months later, six months before, and then you register a new address, where did your vote go? Did you receive your mail-in ballot? Did you vote without your mail-in ballot? Did you actually vote in person? But then you're automatically issued a mail-in ballot. So where did that go? Did somebody grab it? Does somebody forge a signature? Did somebody use it to vote for a Democrat or even a conservative? These are major serious concerns that are going on. Republicans, we want secure elections. We want secure elections. This is very simple. This is not something that is um illogical. This is not something that should even be a debate. This is something that should be secured, and it is a national security issue. We're going to get into that. An actual Chinese spy was elected as a mayor in California. I wonder how that happened, right? This is something that our intelligence officers and our intelligence community needs to look into, make sure that our elections are safe and that they are secure so that citizens are voting and uh the right people are being elected who were chosen by the people. So tonight that is the topic at hand. California's voting. I got some videos we're gonna break down, we're gonna go over, we're gonna bring back some old memories that may not be too um too happy for you to revisit, but we're gonna have to. Okay. So here is a video. This is back in 2020. This is one of the drop-off ballot boxes. These are people sitting around casting votes and ballots almost weeks later. Let's listen to this.
SPEAKER_03You're picking up ballots? Why are you picking them up today? No, double checking. You're double checking them? Yeah. Uh-huh. Yeah, I see that. But uh the election was on Tuesday. So why are you picking up ballots today? We're just uh, you know, citizens recording the legitimacy of this. Yeah. I mean, you just haven't speaking up. Uh-huh. So for counting or counting.
SPEAKER_02Just your uh this is a precautionary note, so they're they're double checking the ballots.
SPEAKER_01So they're double checking the ballots. And this this is the argument of the Democrats, right? And this has been issued from the Democratic Party, and all their little trolls are online, and they're pushing this agenda forward. And they're pushing this narrative. And the narrative is we want every vote to count, right? That's exactly what they want. They want every vote to count. We want to make sure that everybody who intends to vote gets to vote. So if they cast their mail-in ballot on June 9th, which is the end of the voting period, and we don't receive it till June 20th because the mail was slow, we want to make sure that that vote counts. Even though the signature doesn't match their registration, or even though that it's just unreasonable not to have your ballots in, or unreasonable not to vote in person. Do I think there should be some mail-in ballots, maybe absentee ballots for military personnel, or people who are disabled and housebound and cannot leave their home because they're confined to a wheelchair, or they're they're on breathing apparatus. Um, but at that point, if they're mentally deficient, to that extent, should they be voting at all? These these are all questions that really need to be answered, and this is why the vote America the Vote to Save America Act was so incredibly important. Let's finish up this video.
SPEAKER_03The box are gonna come. Uh-huh. Yeah. So uh when's the box gonna go away? The box gonna go away? I have no idea what's gonna take the box. Uh-huh. So okay. Well, listen, so you know, citizens, we have to be recording everything, right? Because there's a lot going on right now. So I just uh wanted to know what was going on. So you're just taking some more ballots that were dropped off.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh huh. But it's been trading this foundation. But so the question is, just you know, legitimately, why were they not counting on Tuesday? Um I see how you judge in the operations. Right. I just uh I just go on the route when they tell me to. Right. So uh yeah, that's really interesting. Okay, yeah. Because uh in the election, the votes are supposed to be counted on Tuesday. So anyway, just tracking you guys for legitimacy.
SPEAKER_01So the problem with this is that these are just two young knuckleheads, right? These aren't masterminds of some scheme. These are young knuckleheads that work for the county, and that's they're like, go out and pick up the votes from the boxes. So they do, and then they they get called, it's a week later or whatever, and somebody's grilling them, and they're like, I don't know, I'm just here to pick up the ballots, lady. That's what they told me to do. I mean, they're paying me 10 bucks an hour, 15 bucks an hour. I'm just here to pick up ballots, and they have no clue as to what is going on, right? Um, but that that's kind of like the layered scheme that this appears to be. Now, again, I want to I want to be very, very clear, and I'm not saying this for purposes of social media or for purposes um to protect myself from getting banned. I'm gonna get banned, right? I've been banned a hundred times, they've completely demonetized all my platforms, they're trying to silence me. It's not working. We're gonna keep pushing forward. But there is no significant evidence of voter fraud, right? And when I say that, this is what I mean, right? There isn't 20,000 people coming out and say, hey, uh, I didn't vote, but my vote was counted towards a Democrat, right? Because you could these are these are certain things you can kind of track and look up. This is not what we're seeing, right? But the opportunity is there. And that's the major concern. Now, to be clear, again, it doesn't mean that there is not a major scheme. Circumstantial evidence, which is not really definitive, but when you kind of try to put the pieces together, it looks a certain way. That's what circumstantial evidence is, shows and indicates that there is a scheme, but there is not actual hard evidence where we have 50,000 people who said they didn't vote, or 50,000 people who said, no, no, no. I voted for uh for Pratt, and it's showing up for this other for this other lady in the system when I look it up after the fact. That's what we need to really push this agenda forward. I'm not saying it's not happening. It certainly is indicated that that is what's happening, especially since uh there was 24,000 ballots dropped off, and zero of them, not a single one, was for a Republican, all for Democrats. The mathematical probability of that is a one and three thousand zeros after it that that would occur. Because even people who mail-in ballots, people who are housebound, or people who just in California because it's easy, doesn't mean Republicans aren't doing it. So there is a question as to how 24,000 ballots showed up at a polling station and zero of them were for a Republican. That's something that needs to be answered. These are things that need to be investigated, and it appears that the Department of Justice is looking into this. This is a video this is a video from Fox News um discussing the the primary votes for these elections that are going on in California.
SPEAKER_00Election day was yesterday. No, California still doesn't have a final count. Because in a fact that can make Somalia blush, it could take up to a month to count or manufacture the votes in California. We do know Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is headed to a November runoff. But who is to join her? Spencer Pratt and Nithya Rahman are battling for that second spot, and Pratt says he is ready to go. To the governor's race. So the numbers can and probably will move. Political analyst Nate Silver says, like, honestly, it's gonna take several weeks to tell you who won the election. This is failed state S and should be much more stigmatized. Perhaps the biggest takeaway is how do 35% of voters in LA choose Karen Bass? How do 25% of voters in California pick Javier Becerra? Hell, 19,000 Californians still voted for Eric Swalwell. And that's really the story across the country. Democrats in the country are on the verge of sending a new wave of far-left candidates to Washington. And if you want to know why, well, in part, follow the endorsements.
SPEAKER_01These are great questions. In 2026, we're American Idol. Election millions of votes in 20 minutes to choose their American Idol, right? Where countries like India and Pakistan and all these third world garbage countries, excuse me, I don't mean to say garbage countries, but a lot of them are, right? Let's be honest. They they get their election over within a day or two. Other states like Florida, notoriously fast and accurate, I might add. But California's not. Right? California is becoming more and more red, right? California's always been kind of red. Right? Northern California, famously quoted in a country song as having some of the most country uh redneck people in it. Ronald Reagan was from California. One of the best Republican presidents to ever live. Huge following in California. He was also the governor of California. But somehow the Democrats have this insane stranglehold on California, and it just doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make any sense. Here is Donald Trump discussing the situation.
SPEAKER_02You know, this country needs a fair press. And one thing I think that's done is expose how corrupt our media is. Uh and I really do while we're here, I hope the media looks at this election that's taking place in California where they think it'll take seven or eight days to count the votes. Can you believe this? I mean, we're supposed they spend all that money on the on the machines, the big voting machines. Uh they think it's going to be seven or eight days before we know who won the election. But the numbers are looking strange because without any vote counting, the numbers dropped very precipitously for two Republicans that are doing well, that had been doing well. And uh I hope you're all watching it, because I'm watching it very closely.
SPEAKER_01But the press has failed to hold people accountable. They have. They've been doing it for years because they've been corporatized, they've cut deals with politicians.
