Austin Basis
Born in Brooklyn, Austin Basis is an actor, writer, producer, and Breakthrough T1D ambassador. An MFA graduate and lifetime member of The Actors Studio, he's worked with Al Pacino, Ellen Burstyn, and Harvey Keitel.
Austin played Alvin Blank on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's final season and is best known as J.T. Forbes on Beauty And The Beast and Math Rogers on Life Unexpected. He's shared the screen with Viola Davis, Larry David, and Rachel Brosnahan.
Beyond acting, he runs "Behind the Bag!" Productions, hosts podcast ActorSpeak, and created superhero comic The KINETIX about kids with disabilities. He's published poetry collection An Actor Without An Audience and children's book Zoo's On First.
He lives in Los Angeles with wife Colleen and cat Daisy.
