Abaddon is back, and she isn’t here to negotiate. Like, oh yeah, Sam's not Sam. Right. And whatever. I was editing, and we get to the gore part. We were just like, oh yeah, Dean Dean's face was really bloody, and I'm like waiting for us. And it's like, nope, we never mention the angel that got thrown through the windshield, and her body was like all bent and whatever. That didn't come up in our gore section. I was like, where were we?

But yeah, so the last episode, uh Dean is frantic after Sam collapses, and the doctors tell Dean that his brother's not gonna make it. He didn't take it well. Uh, so Desperate Dean sends out an all points bulletin via prayer to every angel in the area asking them to help his brother. In exchange, Dean will owe that angel a favor. Numerous ange ancient angles, angry angels, race to find and kill Dean, but one, good ol' Ezekiel, guest star Whoa. Yeah. Tomo Pennicett, sure, gets to him first. And meanwhile, Sam fights for his life and must face some familiar demons to do so. And Castille struggles to survive without powers.

Another thing that I intended for us to talk about, and it completely slipped my mind once we were recording. I wasn't expecting Castillo to be a boxer's guy. Oh, really? Were you? You thought he would be? You were expecting the white boxers?

Devil May Care Cold Open Confusion

Berly 2:41

Well, today's episode is titled Devil Make Hare. It's the second episode of season nine and originally aired on October 15th, 2013. When the episode opens up, I was very confused. It's like we see this. Okay, good, me too. I was like, what? I was I thought, like, did it skip? Did it what's happened here? So it shows uh this gentleman in like a mechanics jumpsuit type thing. And then well, it shows like this really cool kind of abandoned house. I thought it was a cool little house. And then it shows this guy dragging like a body bag through this house, and then just cuts to Dean laid out on a picnic table. I was like, what the fuck was that? What was that? Who was that guy? Well, we do get to find out who this guy is. But first we just cut away very sharply to Dean and Sam.

I didn't realize that Ezekiel was gonna like come and go from Sam. I was very confused by that.

Well, he's always up in there. Right. But he's like tucked away, and Sam never has to know he was there.

But like when I was expecting him to be Ezekiel all the time.

That's why they had that whole big conversation where they were like, Oh, do we keep it a secret from Sam? And Ezekiel basically was like, I mean, if he doesn't want me in there and he knows I'm in there, he could eject me at any time. And that's why Dean agreed to like, okay, then we won't tell him. Okay. Well, it's been a while since we saw that episode. Okay. We have had to put a little pause. But anyway, they're chit-chatting about Cass. His testicles are not angelic right now. None of that. Not as Grace, not his Halo, nothing. And that all these other angels have just been spat out to Earth and are running around trying to find vessels, like what they call them, like nuclear bombs. We got like a bunch of nuclear bombs just running around and they're scared and they're panicked. And so we gotta deal with that. And Sam is just like, well, shit. But Sam ends up asking, so what about Crowley? Like, you know, because the last thing he remembers is being in the church. And then he wakes up in the Impala and everything's fine. And Dean was like, Well, I was gonna ice him, but then I was like, what would Sam Winchester do? And I thought it was so funny when Sam was like, I mean, I probably would have stabbed him in the head. Like Dean was like, Oh shit, that is not what I thought Sam Winchester would do.

He did. And I was happy we got to see Crowley in the trunk because I remember we were really excited to see that in the premiere, and it didn't happen because that fight broke out. But then they opened it, and there he was all cuddly up in there. And Dean explains we can zero dark 30 him.

Yeah, and figure out who are some demons that are topside. Get them out of here. So that's the plan. They're gonna torture the king of hell.

Crowley In The Trunk Plan

Then we cut back to the house. That wasn't an accidental thing that was just kind of there at the beginning of the episode. Where the man in the mechanic suit has the body bag just open on the ground, and then there's a tub, and then there's like demon swirling smoke over him, but his eyes are black, so he's also possessed, and then he like cuts his arm and squeezes it so it bleeds into the tub. Does this light, and we see the fabulous Elena Huffman has actually returned. So we were wrong. At the end of last season, we thought we would see Abaddon again, but not Elena Huffman. But I guess Abaddon was just like, I really like that Josie body. Rather than finding a new vessel, I'm gonna make these demons go dig that body up. But wouldn't she have been all burned up? No, magic. Demon magic. Okay, all healed up. The neck mark, it's gone. She's she's brand new.

Brand new baby. She was a little dewy at first. I was trying to figure out is that intentional? Her hairdo's gone though.

Hair is all out. Well, back at the bunker, Dean comes in and Kevin almost shoots him with a crossbow. And what do you say? He was like, chill out, catniss, or something like that. But Kevin was explaining, like, I didn't know what happened. Everything shut down. The door was locked. I couldn't get out. I thought the world was ending. And Dean said, I mean, it kind of almost did. There's angels everywhere. And Kevin's like, I mean, is that a bad thing? It's like, shit. So they get everything back up and running. And then sure enough, Sam comes walking in with Crowley. And he's got him like gagged and blinded and all that other kind of stuff. Or not blinded, blindfolded. Whoops. Kevin realizes right away who it is. Whenever they bring him in. He's just like, oh, I'm happy. No. No. Little Kev is pissed. They take Crowley down to the dungeon, which fun fact, I thought I saved the Instagram post that I saw this from so I could give credit to the poster. And I did not. So sorry about that. But fun fact, the devil's trap on the ground in the basement of the bunker, it's the same floor from Bobby's bunker. Oh, really? Yeah. They repurposed it. So that's I thought that was fun. That the dungeon has kind of repurposed Bobby's bunker stuff. Nice. Very cool. I'm this is my favorite version of Crowley so far. It's unique. They're giving him depth. They're giving him layers. I am loving it. Sam basically tells him, Um, I know you're a softie. And Crowley's just like, uh, no, no, fuck you guys. Like, oh, you're gonna torture me? Okay. Okay. And then they do the worst thing ever because they just turn around and leave him. Like Crowley's like, oh god, you're going to deny me attention? He did not see that coming.

Well, back upstairs, Kevin informs Sam and Dean. He's pissed.

Abaddon Rebuilds Her Army

And they explain that, hey, like, if we can find out who all the demons are, that's gonna save us time. I don't think that Kevin was completely he had he didn't buy in, you know? Yeah. He wasn't like, yeah, this is a good plan, guys. No. Meanwhile, Abaddon has collected a group of demons. She's like starting her campaign here. Like, why the fuck have y'all been listening to Crowley? He's just a salesman. He's not the king. Why do you have these lame meat suits? What is going on with that? I love the grandma that was like, I have made 72 deals this year. Okay. Kids love Granny. And then whenever she was pushing back, like, hey, some of us are scared of Crowley. All right. So until you show me a body, then I'm not crossing the king. Right. Maybe your plan will work after that. And she was like, maybe. Like she was funny. And I liked Abadon just staring at her. She did get rid of that meat suit though. She like went over. It was cool. She liked choked the granny and it just immediately started exercising the demon. And she like told her, like, you go to hell and you tell everybody that I'm back and I'm gonna be running things. There were two demons that were dudes that were but next to the granny. And then on the far end, it was this blonde woman demon, and she was into it. I don't know if you noticed, but like the whole time, the whole time Abaddon's talking, she's like, She's like, Okay, I'm in.

Yeah, and there's one point where the director kind of like zooms in on her and she's just like looking down the line, like, ooh, like she's she was into it. She was like, Yeah, let's go, Abby. And Abaddon tells them, I'll get you good meat suits. It'll be fine. You're gonna be warriors. Like kings conquer, kings do this. Like, why are y'all making deals? Why are you asking permission? We should just be taking shit. Back at the bunker, Dean calls this hunter we've never heard of before. Which do you have thoughts? Yeah, I was just like, who, what? I just okay. We'll just roll with it. Yeah. We know him. I mean, we know there's this whole network of hunters out there, right? Like we do. But there was just multiple times where A, I was thinking that they originally had Garth written into this episode, and then maybe DJ Qualls wasn't available, and so they had to work around it. But then the way the episode ended, I was like, okay, maybe not, because I don't think that they would have done that to Garth. Yeah. Like Garth wouldn't have ratted everybody out. Yeah. I don't know. But yeah, that's what I kind of thought at first with Irv. But anyway, he calls Irv, who's apparently an old friend of the Winchesters. They've known him for years because he used to hunt with Bobby and they had Siamese twins werewolves. Say that again. They had Siamese twins werewolves.

So Dean calls Irv and tells him what's going on with the angels so that the hunters know what they're what they might be dealing with if there's some weird shit happening. Get the message out. Like, isn't the more hunters you know, the better. And this is why I thought this was meant for Garth, because Garth had kind of taken over Bobby's role, was managing the phones and like doing all that stuff. So if somebody's going to get a message out to as many hunters as possible, you'd think Garth. Right. But no, no, no, it's Irv. I liked Irv's car though. What was it? It was like an old station wagon kind of thing.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And I liked that shot of him kind of out there, just all casual, leaned up against. Like, this isn't, I'm not complaining about Irv. I liked Irv's character. Just where I thought what I thought was going on was not what was going on.

Yeah. He got way more into it than I did.

And I liked the actor, and I really loved that shot of him leaned up against the station wagon of like the bridge and the background and all that. That was cool. Like that shot made me be like, oh, okay. So he's like a cool dad. You know? Well, Abaddon has decided it's time to get her three minions their new meat suits. And so she takes them to what were they at a military base? It was a military base. Yeah. She looked really cute in her little bus driver outfit. She did. She looked so fucking cute.

And she popped around that corner.

Yeah, that was such a cute shot. And the way they zoomed in, she looked adorable. Have you seen that meme where it's like Kim Kardashian looking around the bushes and smiling? Mm-mm. It was almost like that. I don't know. She looked really fucking cute. I kind of was hoping we were gonna see her in that little get up a little bit longer. Um, but no, she changed back into her leather warrior gear later on. But anyway, so she takes her three civilians into this military base and they all get on the bus together. And once the three military guys get on the bus with their weapons, so I was like, is that normal? Do y'all just walk around with your automatic rifles? Whatever. And then they possess them.

When they were all like shooting out their stuff. All I could think of was it sounded like everybody on that bus was puking.

Right? Okay, LA and I have this friend who um, whenever he gets really, really, really, really, really drunk, he will projectile vomit.

Kevin Versus Crowley In The Bunker

Berly 13:58

And when he does it, he like screams while he's doing it. And that's what it makes me think of every time somebody is like yelling whatever their demon is coming out. It makes me think, you've never seen Bubba do that? Uh-uh. You're like, oh I've seen it like three times. Nope, I haven't had that pleasure. One of the times that he did it, he was a buttass naked and like holding his junk. Oh my god. And like scream projectile vomiting memories. Yeah. Fond memories. Magical. They're magical. But yeah, they were all screaming, and one of them was like kind of convulsing. I was like, good for you. Go on the extra step there. Because I would think that if that much stuff was coming out of me at once, that I would be like having some sort of bodily reaction other than opening my mouth. Not that I want to find out, but I'm just saying. There were a lot of just like cuts to where we're in a completely different scene meeting completely different people. Yeah, I feel I feel like even in the beginning, I was like, this is seems like a little choppy. Choppy. Yeah, it was choppy. I don't know if maybe if we like were watching it with the commercial breaks and whatever, maybe it wouldn't be as choppy.

Um, okay, but anyway, so we chopped to a woman bent over and she's just kind of like oh god. Yeah, she's just kind of dicking around in the engine. She's not really doing anything, which actually ended up being the the intent. And a van pulls up, and I guess vampires aren't as sensitive to the sunlight anymore. Yeah, I was like, wait a minute, what's happening here? Like, even though they had Benny kind of out in the sun and stuff, he would like have on sunglasses or his hat, and he'd be like bundled up. Oh, Benny.

Well, and it's like he it's like he leaned out the window to get his fangs out.

Berly 15:45

Yeah. Like, let me make sure I'm getting some sunlight on these pearls. He tells her, like, oh, I'll give you a ride into town since your shit's fucked up. And she's like, Oh my god, thank you so much. And she goes and gets her bag out of the car, walking around in her jorts with her boots and her flannel. The little daisy dukes, strutting big voluminous hair. Cutie, cutie. And then she gets in the van and the van is a rockin', and there's some kind of huffing and puffing going on. And then we get our 73rd blood splooge of the supernatural series, whenever she decapitates the vampire and steps out, and it turns out this is Tracy, and she's a hunter. And according to Irv, she's got a mouth on her. She's sassy.

I was I was real worried they were doing it in the chur uh in that van. I was like, oh, I had high hopes for her.

Berly 16:38

Right? Well, I mean, I obviously they wanted us to think that. Yeah. And who knows, maybe she let him get, like thinking that he was about to get some. Who knows? Yeah. Because she got him in the back of the van, right? So Yeah. Well, she jumps out and the military demons put a bag over her head and grab her, and they're like, Good job. Good hunting. Way to go. This uh this uh summary is calling them demon sailors. No, they weren't sailors, were they?

I mean, they certainly weren't dressed like sailors.

Their fatigues were blue. Does that mean they're ocean man?

Maybe. I don't know. That's weird.

Military Base Case And Tracy Appears

Berly 17:16

Well, the Winchesters somehow hear about what went down at the military base. So they go stomping in there with their badges, and we get agents Stark and Banner.

LA 17:26

Yeah.

Berly 17:27

Now instead of our classic rock people. I thought that was odd. I did too, but I guess they're just trying to keep stuff relevant for the audience at this point. Like they've realized who their audience is at this point. Maybe they're trying to be more CW friendly and not always list rock musicians who teenagers are not even gonna realize who the name is, maybe. I don't know. I don't know. But it did kind of take me out of our our world. Like this world has been built for us, and it kind of took me out a little bit. But I did also remember they are nerds.

LA 17:59

So I was like, I thought it was kind of cute.

Berly 18:02

Yeah, they are they are nerds, they're flashing their badge, and this military woman comes walking up and it's just like, Why the fuck are y'all here? This is not a federal case, this is military. Get out of here. You get out of here. And they said, Oh no, oh, we'll call and talk to our boss. And poor Kevin answers the phone, and Dean's just like, hey, boss. And he's like, What? And he's like, Yeah, yeah, we're we're here and they're they're wanting to talk to you. So here you go. But good on him. He was quick on his toes.

LA 18:31

He recovered, like at first, I was a little disappointed. I was like, Come on, Kevin, you know what's going on. And he stumbled a little bit at first, but then he he really he did a great recovery.

Berly 18:42

Oh my god. So she's not buying it. She's like, How old are you? And he's like, old enough. I'm Kevin, I'm Kevin Solo. And she was like, Okay, fuck you. You little kid. I don't know what's going on here. And then he was like, Cabo, like two years ago or something like that. You doing body shots off a naked Libre. What is it? What are they? Mucha Libre wrestler in sombrero. Oh yeah, luche, yeah, luche something. And she was like, Oh, fuck. And he said, So they aren't gonna fuck anything up on your little crime scene. So just let my guys do whatever they want, or I'm going to send this picture to your commanding officer. Apparently, it's a really, really, really bad picture because she is like, Okay, guys, here you go. Go into this active crime scene.

I'm even gonna leave you in the bus by yourselves to do whatever it is that you're going to do. Yeah. I'm out. I feel like they must have told her something because not only does she let them go and look at the crime scene and go and look at the bodies, which by the way, I thought it was a nice touch that they let us know that each of those bodies were like people who had been dead for a very long time. They were like, they have one, if not multiple, fatal injuries on the bodies, but all of them are years old. Because we have been wondering about whenever they're just going stabby stabby, just killing demons left and right. Like, so we don't care about saving the victims anymore. Like we did kind of just choose to believe that most of them were people who were already dead. Yeah. And this confirmed confirmed that for us. So they aren't quite the little serial killers that we thought they were.

You know, you know, but she brings them surveillance footage and they see Abaddon walking around the bus. They're like, oh my god, look how cute she is. And I think Dean even said, like, why'd she go get that same vessel? What the fuck? It's like y'all obviously don't understand getting connected to something and demon magic. And they were just like, Well, fuck. You know, let's get Kevin on it. We need to figure out how to kill a knight of hell. And Dean was like, permanently. Because apparently chopping her up doesn't do the trick. Yeah. So speaking of the Knight of Hell, now we see her kind of training her new little minions, her new sailor demons, her demon sailors. So weird. She's training them how to torture humans correctly because they are just punching and beating this guy named Pete, trying to find out who are all the other hunters. Like, we want you to tell us the name of every hunter you know. And Pete is like, No, I'm not gonna do that. And so Abaddon says, Oh, I'll show y'all how it's done. She had a noose ready to go, puts it around Pete's neck and like pulls him off the ground, and he's all like, help me, help me. And she's like, No one's gonna hear you, like yells herself. I was like, Oh, that's mean.

Okay, I think this is not important, but I think you're right about the their fatigues being blue. I looked up sailor fatigues and like that it came up along with like the the white ones that everybody like kind of knows.

Berly 21:44

Yeah. Okay, so they are sailormen.

Yes, they are sailors. I was very skeptical about that. I had to look it up.

Well, I'm happy you did because it says I'm right.

Abaddon’s Trap And Irv’s Betrayal

Berly 22:00

Turn out that way, you know? Abaddon takes, I guess, Pete's phone and calls Dean's phone, but Kevin answers. And Abaddon's like, um, this is Dean Wichester's number, but this is not Dean. Who is this? Who am I talking to? And Kev's just like, none of your business. So she tells Kevin to tell Dean that she has a couple of things they may want. She's got these hostages. Um, but apparently Pete did not give up information because we don't see Pete again after this scene. But she has Tracy and good old Irv, longtime friend who we've known for so long. But yeah, they're like, okay, it's a trap, but whatever. Let's go, anyways. Like, what else what are we gonna do? We're just gonna leave Irv. I doubt it. We can't. We cannot leave Irv. So they go to the town and it's abandoned and it's cute, but like clearly abandoned, like looking like something from Fallout. And then Sam says, Oh, this whole town was evacuated because of radiation or something. Like, I guess it's still lingering around here. I guess it's still not a good place to be. And Dean was like, So it's still like poison, like the place is poison. And Sam said, Yeah. And then Dean like moves his hand to cover his nuts.

Oh my God. I like and didn't Sam say that's not gonna help.

That's not gonna help.

He was like, Well, it ain't gonna hurt.

Berly 23:30

But then they start walking off and he's not covering them anymore. I was kind of looking forward to watching Dean try to fight Abaddon while also keeping his nuts covered. Well, back in the bunker, Kevin Tran is having to go down into the basement, into the archive section, to try and find more information on how you could potentially kill a knight of hell because he wants to be helpful. And Crawley figures out that's whose footsteps he hears walking around. So of course he starts taunting our sweet little prophet. And I loved it. And whenever he's like, we're friends. Yeah, no. But like I think that Crowley really does think of Kevin as a friend, the closest thing that he could have as a friend. Because remember, we kept talking about how Crowley didn't want a prophet, he wanted Kevin. And I think that that's he's grown a little attached, you know. I think he was honestly happy to see Kevin. Yeah. That's what I'm choosing to believe. Well, Kevin comes in and starts wailing on him, and he lets it slip. Or he, I guess he I shouldn't say he let it slip. He very purposely tells Kevin, like, Oh, like, did I kill your mom? Why would I have done that? Did you ever see a body? Come on now, Kevin. But Kevin beats his ass, and Crawley is thrilled because, you know, bad attention is better than no attention to the king of hell. Plus, he's already told us torture is how he shows his love. So he just felt like Kevin was telling him, I love you, I love you, I love you. We are best friends. We are besties. I've missed you so much with every punch. The Winchesters find Tracy and Irv just like unattended. Nobody's guarding them. They just go into like this cute little diner, and there they are, tied up. And that's when Irv uh makes sure to do this like introduction of Tracy. Like, oh, this is Tracy. We worked a case together, and she's young and she's new, but she's got a mouth on her. This girl has an attitude, like gives us a quick brief bio of all of her character traits, which I was just like, that's when I started going, wait a minute, like is she gonna be a recurring character from now on? What why why are we being getting so much emphasis put on Tracy? Like, y'all killed off Joe. I guess y'all are regretting that decision now, and so now you're bringing in Tracy. I didn't like how she was rude to Sam. Right? Because again, Sam wasn't the only one who did that. Yeah. I mean, granted, he was the one who turned the final key, but there were a lot of other keys that got or seals, that's what it was, not keys. He wasn't the he broke the final seal, but there were a lot of other seals that got broken. And the first one was broken by Dean. Thank you.

Oh, and uh, whenever they were in the diner, I loved how they were like, okay, there's three demons. All right, three demons, four of us. We should be good. And then Sam was like, they have automatic weapons. Yeah. And then they were like, uh, we gotta go.

It was very clever. I I wonder who sacrificed their phone, but they recorded the note on the phone and had it playing in there, like, come and get it, you dicks. And the demons were like, Oh my god, yes. Dick? Okay. And so they go running into the diner, and it's like, no. No dicks. No dicks for you. And then we see, yeah, Tracy get all pissed off because Sam is the reason her family is dead. Um, she knows because she heard them talking about how he let Lucifer out of the cage, but we don't get any more detail than that. But yeah, yet again, it's just like giving us all this exposition of the background of this character just seemed to be putting a lot of importance on this character. Like it felt a little forced.

Yeah. I was gonna say, I bet she'll be in at least a couple more episodes or something.

Yeah. So since Tracy won't go with Sam, they switch.

Ezekiel Reveals Himself In A Fight

Berly 27:18

Irv goes with Sam and Tracy goes with Dean. I still don't understand why that was the plan, but they split up. And then Irv tells Sam whenever they're trying to go around a corner and there's demons there, like all of them are there, and they're like, fuck. Irv is like, I'm gonna sacrifice myself. I'm gonna distract them so that you can get out of here, go meet up with Dean and Tracy and just get the fuck out of Dodge because I fucked up. Like I gave them everyone's names. But he had already stepped out from behind the building to confess all of this to Sam. So he got he got got. Yeah. Bang bang. And then Sam was just like, oh no. And so they chased Sam back into the diner and they're fighting and fighting and fighting and fighting. Well, Ezekiel is all up in there, putting together organs and fixing tendons and doing all his stuff, trying to fix stuff. And then Sam's getting thrown around, tossed about.

So how it was two, two on one, right?

Yeah, two on one. I mean, they were beating the shit out of him, slamming him into the counter. And so I'm just imagining Ezekiel being like, Are you fucking kidding me? I just fixed that. Yeah. And like having to go over and fix it again, and then something else gets broken. It's like, oh my God. And so then they slam, they knock Sam out. And this is just when Ezekiel was like, Okay, I fucking had it. Like, I am trying to work in here, and you guys are making my job harder. This is bullshit. So Ezekiel comes out to play, and I loved how like the eyes lit up and he stood up, and then his little broken wings from falling. That was really cool. I liked all that. Yeah. And then they burst out the windows, like the bright light and all of that. But before that happens, a very important scene happens. Abaddon finds Tracy and Dean. And Tracy tries to shoot her, I guess with Dean the Devil's Trap bullets or something. I don't know, or maybe it's the angel blade bullets. I don't know. But Abaddon has on a Kevlar vest. But I did like how she opened her shirt and went nice grouping.

Right. Dean throws Tracy the keys, which again, Tracy got to drive baby. Desperate times. I'm just like, well, I'm again, I'm saying she's gonna be a recurring character. Yeah. She got to drive baby. But Abaddon lets Tracy go tr running off and fights Dean and like gets Dean down on his knees and like grabs his hair and pulls his hair back. I was just like, oh my gosh. She missed him. It was fucking hot. And whenever Dean was like, Are we gonna make out or are you trying to kill me? Because I'm getting big signals. And I'm like, Yeah, me too.

What am I watching? And she had the upper hand on him. And then she starts telling him whenever he's like, Oh, fuck you, blah, blah, blah. Like, I'm not gonna tell you shit. Then she was like, Okay, well, I mean, I've always loved this body. It's like us too, us too. Yeah, then she starts telling him like what we were saying in last episode, whenever we thought those angels were coming because they wanted Dean and Sam's vessels. Um, then she starts telling that about how like it's a strong vessel, like it's meant to hold an archangel. I could fucking rip that tattoo off and you'd be mine. So but then that's whenever Ezekiel blows out the windows and it's the bright light and everything. And so she looks at him and goes, An angel? You brought a fucking angel? And Dean just plays it off. Like, what you would have thought you thought we were gonna show up here without backup? Like, are you fucking kidding me? So Abanon Peace is out, and so I was like, Okay, well, that's how you kill a knight of hell then. Go get some of these angels to help kill her. Because why would she have run away if that wasn't something that could hurt her?

Easy peasy, problem solved because the angels are so helpful, right? Right. I miss Uriel plumbing on two legs. So gross. Dean goes into the diner and realizes it's Ezekiel, not Sam. And Ezekiel explains, like, I was protecting your brother, like, that's what you want me to do, right? And he's like, Well, what am I gonna tell Sam? And he's like, he's not gonna remember any of this. That's why I used his demon blade and like cut all these guys up and did stuff. And I did love it, whatever. Sam was like, What? So I just got knocked unconscious, and like you just came and helped saved the day. And Dean was like, Yeah, like usual. I was like, that's so funny.

He's like, You took on two soldiers.

Oh well, yeah. But I thought it was funny that they like acknowledged that Sam gets knocked out so much.

And then Tracy comes rolling up in the Impala, and they come out and she's like, Oh shit, I guess I missed like the big show. And they're like, Yeah, it's fine, but like, let's get out of here. And then she like looks at Sam and is like, I'm glad you're okay, or something like that.

She asked if he was okay. And he said, Yeah, you. Yeah, I'm glad. Yeah, I'm glad you're okay. She's turned real soft for him now.

So I wonder, because I just listened to um the Freaks and Geeks episode from last season. I just listened to that version on Supernatural Then and Now. The girl who played Chrissy Chambers, the teenage hunter who had her ragtag group and all that. She said that she had overheard Jim Michaels, executive producer and somebody else, like maybe say something along the lines of, like, we'll see what comes of this. So the expectation is that that was actually kind of being built up to be like a backdoor pilot. Oh. Where there would have been the new series that followed the young group of hunters. So I'm wondering, maybe they were still trying to make that happen. And Tracy was gonna go join up with Chrissy and her group. Yeah, I can see it.

Aftermath With Kevin’s Breaking Point

They go back to the bunker and they don't see Kevin anywhere. So they're getting worried because they're like, We left Kevin alone in the bunker with Crowley. They go running down to the um dungeon, torture room, and open up everything, and they see that Crowley is all beat up and they're like, Who worked you over? And he's just like, Oh my god, my bestie. Look how much he loves me. And Crowley gives them two names, and they're like, What uh what do you want us to do with that? And he's like, Those are two of my guys, and they're low performers. Like, go ahead, go stick them, go take care of them. I don't care. And then he said, You guys want things? I want things too. It's like y'all are gonna make another deal with Crowley. But uh, they were like, So you're just giving us two for free. And then he said, Oh no, this is like payment for for all this that Kevin did to me. I had so much fun with Kevin, so that's that's why I'm giving you guys this. So they go to leave and they finally find Kevin, and he's trying to get the fuck out of Dodge. I want to go find my mom. And Dean was like, even if she's alive, she's dead. So are you trying to say that she's like probably been tortured so badly that she's not who she is anymore? So Kevin shouldn't try to go like what what did what was that line supposed to mean?

I don't know, because didn't Crowley say, like sh at one point when he was talking about her that she would wish she's she probably wishes she's dead.

Yeah, I didn't understand that. Yeah. That part confused me. Maybe we'll find out. He did give him the big speech about like, we care about you, and if you don't think that we wouldn't die for you, then I don't know what to tell you. Like your family, and Kevin was tearing up, and so that was very sweet. But I just got very hung up on what is what did that mean? Everything you said about his mom. Like everything you said after it was very, very, very sweet. But for you to just be like, no, she's she's dead in every way that matters.

Like it was touching the words and and Kevin's sweet face and crying and all that. Like, but I just was really hung up on wait a minute, Mrs. Tran. I don't know. Oh well. After Dean takes care of Kevin, locks that shit back down, he goes and talks to Sam. And Sam was like, you know what Tracy said really hurt my feelings. And Dean was like, hey, you've helped more people than you've hurt. All right. Sam was just like, you're right. You're right. Did Sam look like maybe he had gone skiing or something? Like it looked like his nose was a little red.

And like, okay, maybe that was just me.

I feel like Dean was probably like, I just had to give a pep talk to Kevin. Now I have to come and deal with you two.

There's an angel in your ass, okay? You're gonna be fine. You're gonna be fine. And Sam does say, you know, I feel better than I have in a really long time. Yeah. And then Dean's like, yeah. And then he's kind of like, uh, this episode was written by Andrew Dab, and it was directed by Guy Norman B. Mr. B. Guy did good. There were a lot of interesting shots. Like I said, there were some that were the picturesque that could be a poster, like Irv leaned up against the car, a lot of action. Um, the shot with Abaddon and Dean. I loved both of those, the angling of those and everything. But yeah, it was just very choppy. And again, I'm just like, Tracy, like, what's the point of her? It really, it really feels like y'all are trying to make us care about Tracy. And I'm trying to figure out why, because at the end of the episode, she just goes away. You are really hung up on Tracy. Let's see here. Yeah, this is the only episode she's in. I I think that they were setting her up to be like another Joe who would pop in every once in a while, and that for some reason that didn't work out. That's the end of that episode. So, Gore, we got a blood sploogge in this episode. That was a good blood splooge. I liked that whole setup. Even though the scene seemed to come out of nowhere, and I was very confused by Tracy. I liked that whole setup of her using herself as bait and setting up the scene. I don't know how she knew that vampire was going to be driving by on that road, but I don't care. That was fun. That was a fun little thing. And then the Abaddon and Dean standoff there, where she had him on his knees. That was fun. And then, of course, Crowley. Yeah. I mean, like whenever it showed that whenever he was sitting there by himself in the dark, and it did like that montage of him that I deserve to be loved and all of that. Like, I think Sam's right. I think that that humanity is still there, that it hasn't gone away yet. And I think he was honestly getting worried and starting to freak out, having to be left there alone with himself and feelings, emotions, ew, get him out of here. Probably isn't going to be one of my favorite episodes at the end of the season, but I feel like it's cueing us up. It's like a nice extension of the premiere because the premiere was so focused on the chaos of Ezekiel and Sam and all that other kind of stuff. It was it was like a premiere part two. What about you? Did you adore anything about this?

Um, I liked Kevin like being a little like more involved with him, helping him out like when they called and he had to go get well, are you supposed to go get the information with them but lead up crowding?

It's like it's almost like Kevin is like kind of the new Bobby that they're kind of but then that has me going, where's Garth? I'm sure he's still around. I'm sure he'll pop in again. I think that was all on gore. Was the blood splooge was the biggest gore? I mean, other than seeing Crowley get beat up. He got beat up pretty bloody.

Goetia. Thanks. Is the first section of the Lesser Key of Solomon, a 17th century grimmery cataloging 72 demons allegedly summoned by King Solomon. These demons are ranked according to the hierarchy of hell as kings, dukes, princes, marques, earls, counts, presidents, and a single knight. Each ranking also corresponds to one of the traditional astrological planets. Kings with the sun, marquees with the moon, presidents with Mercury, Dukes with Venus, Earls with Mars, Prince I was about to say princess, princes with Jupiter, and the sole knight with Saturn. So here is a breakdown of what distinguishes each rank. Kings are the most powerful rank, sitting closest to the top of Hell's hierarchy. They were the angels closest to Lucifer when he led the rebellion against God, and were promised crowns of their own if the attack succeeded. Kings tend to command enormous legions. Osmoday alone governs 72 legions. Legions. Legions.

They were powerful angels who joined Lucifer's Rebellion after much convincing, receiving rewards in hell according to the abilities they possessed as angels. Princes like Visago, Citri, and Orobas tend to specialize in knowledge, di divinate divination, and influence, often described as having a relatively good or reliable nature compared to other demons. Next up, Dukes are the most numerous rank in the Goetia What is it? Goetia. Goetia. Comprising roughly a third of all 72 demons. They were angels who joined the rebellion after seeing how many higher, more powerful angels had already begun the assault. Most fallen angels were granted the title of duke in recognition of their service. Dukes like Agarus, Elige Eligos, Astaroth, and Dantilion? Dant Dentil Dantilion! Dantilion. Dantilion cover a wide range of powers, including warfare, love, transformation, and knowledge. They typically command legions ranging from 10 to 40.

Sowing discord, causing wounds, inciting battles, though several also teach arts and sciences.

Aggressive arts and sciences. Alright, then counts and earls are associated with Mars, fitting their often destructive or martial character. They join Lucifer out of hatred for mankind and jealousy over God's love for humanity. Like Furfer, Raum, and Androm Andromelius deal in storms, theft, destruction of dignities, and recovery of stolen goods. Huh. Several whole dual ranks, like Count President or Count Marquis, reflecting inconsistencies across the different grim grimmery translations. Man. You're doing so good. All right, then the presidents are among the lower tier ranks associated with Mercury. They were servants to the higher angels who rebelled and were cast out for following their leaders. Because they were not directly loyal to Lucifer, they received the lowest rank among the fallen angels. Despite their lower standing, presidents like Marbus, Buer, Forus, and Veloch. Buer. Buer. Buer Bueller. Okay. Are often noted as highly knowledgeable teachers of medicine, philosophy, and natural science. And then we have the knight. The knight is an entirely unique rank held only by Furcus. Fercus.

He teaches philosophy, astronomy, rhetoric, logic, chiromancy, and pyromancy, and commands 20 legions.
