Dr. Lodi-Smith is a personality developmental psychologist who uses mixed methods research to study identity development over time. She directs The Spark Bird Project and co-directs the Aging and Autism Study & the Rochester Adult Longitudinal Study. She serves the university, the community, and her professional organizations in multiple capacities.
