Archaeologists Behaving Badly
Like history, but don’t like the same old boring history shows? Well, this podcast may have you covered. Hosts Raquel and Belle, two archaeologists from Australia, talk all things weird in history over many, many wines… sometimes too many wines. Not taking themselves too seriously, each episode explores a different topic as the pair share weird stories from times past. Who knows, you may even walk away knowing something new…

Episode 18
When the people send us lovely messages asking for an episode on Pirates, we deliver! In this episode we go down some rabbit holes (as per usual), looking at some very successful pirates in history. Raquel starts by telling us all about the Barbary Corsairs and a shipwreck recently found. Belle goes into depth about the incredible story of Zheng Yi Sao, a female pirate who absolutely dominated the seas in the early 19th century. She also talks a little tiny bit about the infamous Blackbeard and his ship Queen Anne's Revenge.
We LOVE hearing from you, and if you also have a great topic in mind - send us a message or email us at arcsbehavingbadly@gmail.com!
