Honestly, I recorded this episode about two Decembers ago and, if I'm being perfectly honest, I allowed insecurity to creep in and let the lie tell me that this wasn't the time. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I did not produce this episode, but guess what? The time is now. Somebody needs to hear this. So you're going to hear the audio transition to what I recorded a few years ago. So just listen in and hear what the wait was for. Here we go.
Hey, welcome back for another episode. Jemese Lachel here, and I want to just launch right into prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we just want to bless you. We want to say thank you for this time.
Speaker 1I don't know about you guys, but it's been an interesting year in terms of the lessons that God has given and in terms of the battles and the spiritual warfare. Earlier this year, the Lord spoke to me saying I taught you how to wage war in the flesh and now I'm going to teach you how to wage war in the spirit. If you need help or a word on spiritual warfare and how to position yourself so that every time you overcome and you win, keep listening. Hey friend, welcome to a new creation podcast where we're pointing women towards victory in Christ, one Jesus story at a time. My name is Jamice Lachelle. I'm so glad that you're here.
Speaker 1Let's dive right in to today's episode. Hey, welcome back for another episode. Jamice Lachelle here, and I want to just launch right into prayer. I don't know if you noticed, but as I'm doing these solo episodes anymore, which they're coming out about every other week now, it's like man, I don't want to waste a lot of time, I want to get right into it. So let's just launch right into prayer and we'll get into all the other good stuff in a bit. All the other good stuff in a bit.
The truth about putting on the armor of God
Speaker 1Dear Heavenly Father, we just want to bless you, we want to bless your name, we want to say thank you for this time. I ask for your Holy Spirit, o God, to just be with the listener. Rest with us, walk with us, open up our ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. Lord, guard our eyes, lord, god, that we would see what you want us to see in this day and as we move about our daily lives. Lord, we just want you and we need you. Bless this time of gathering here together. On this podcast, you said, where two or more gather in your name. You're surely in the midst and we just want to acknowledge that and say thank you for your presence. In Jesus' name, I pray Amen. It is the power of Christ that saves us. It is the power of Christ that redeems us, and your awareness of this and your knowledge of this is what you can hold up as your shield of faith whenever those fiery darts of the enemy come.
Speaker 1So many times, I'll hear people speak about putting on their full armor of god, coming out of, I believe, ephesians 6, 13. Therefore, put on the full armor of God so, when the day of evil comes, you're able to stand. After you've done everything you can to stand. You stand. Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, the breastplate of righteousness with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of truth buckled around your waist, the breastplate of righteousness with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to this, take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil. One. Take up the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.
Speaker 1We hear people speak about this, and what's interesting is, as I speak with other believers, it's kind of funny how, like we tend to have gone through that phase where it's like every morning, you're waking up, you're putting on your armor. You're putting on your armor every morning, and so I would ask you if that's you who asked you to take that armor off in the first place. This is kind of a little aside. I'm throwing this in there for free. In the natural, we think about taking our clothing on, our clothing off, but we are not in the neck. We are not natural people anymore. We are in this world, but we're not of this world as we become believers in Christ Jesus. So, that being the case that you are now in the spirit, your spirit is one with the spirit of God, who told you to take your armor off, and the spirit. You do not have to take your armor off, and that is a uh simple, subtle, little manipulative idea. Many times it does come from the enemy, sometimes it just comes from our fleshly way of thinking, our current carnal way of thinking, but you are one with christ jesus. The holy spirit is in you as a believer. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. So do not take your armor of god off. You can think of it as someone uh described to me once like this instead of putting on her armor, she says she wakes up and from time to time in the morning she just checks to make sure that her armor is is shined, that her armor is still there in place, etc. Etc. Etc.
Speaker 1Because, believe it or not, you can fall into these kind of strange beliefs. Uh, questioning your salvation, questioning whether you have lost your salvation. You know, these are the fiery darts that the enemy throws. He likes to throw these fiery darts and, frankly, um, not enough in my opinion. Ministers, churches are providing biblical solutions. For how do we actually deal with that?
Psalm 121: The Lord shall preserve you from all evil. Every lie of the devil is covered under the blood of Jesus. We have to be in our Word every single day, renewing our minds. You can never win against the enemy without the power of Christ Jesus.
Speaker 1There's those who think that the devil doesn't have any power anymore, that there is no need for deliverance from the devil. There's those who actually believe that. There's those who think that the devil's not oppressing people to this day. But the truth is that we know the character of our God and when you know God's character, as you spend time in his word, you begin to know what is, straight up, not God. There's so many ways that this gets manipulated, but I'm here today to um just speak to you about this one point.
Speaker 1I could go on and on, but I just want to leave this short, simple message with you for someone coming out of the word of 1, 21, verse 7 says the lord shall preserve you from all evil. He shall preserve your soul. The lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this thing forth and even forever more. If you can recognize the attacks of satan on your life and you better believe that of your child of god, that every day the enemy has planned an attack against you, then you also better know this much that the blood of jesus has already won you the victory, that that the finished work of Christ Jesus on the cross has already allowed you and enabled you to walk in victory, that the Lord Jesus is your advocate, he's your intercessor. Right now you have the Holy Spirit advocating for you. Right now you have the Lord Jesus Christ himself, the living God, advocating for you. Right now you have the Lord Jesus Christ himself, the living God, advocating for you right now, so that every lie of the devil is covered under the blood of Jesus, every lie is dealt with by Christ Jesus.
Speaker 1So there's an important piece that we have to do. We have to be in our word every single day, renewing our minds with the word of God. We have to be renewing the word, renewing ourselves by the power of God. And here's the thing with that. A lot of times people are like how do I do it? How do I do it? They think we have to memorize all these verses. And that's great. Memorization is wonderful, but you don't want that to become a work. But you don't want that to become a work. You don't want that to become a work. Instead, I encourage you to get in your Bible, pray about reading it for understanding, ask the Holy Spirit to help you actually comprehend what you're reading, and let the Holy Spirit it's God's job to renew your mind through the Word. Your job is to just stay in the word and as you do that, what you'll find is, when those fiery darts come, those lies, what do you do? You can raise up your defense. You can raise up the word of God and extinguish that. That's your shield of faith. You take your sword, which is the word of God, and you just strike against this lie. You strike against that lie.
Speaker 1Many of us are tiring ourselves out. I can confess I've gone through that phase, thinking that I have to just hoot and holler and constantly be fighting the devil. Constantly be fighting the devil, because real talk, the attacks can be relentless. The devil don't take no days off from trying to harass people. You know what I'm saying. But you have to remember that we must stay in step with the Spirit of God.
Speaker 1And so it is very important, as we are doing our spiritual warfare, that you're locking eyes with Jesus. First and foremost Word says don't look to your right, don't look to your left. Many times the Lord will say don't even look at that lying devil. Lock eyes with Jesus, why? His eyes burn like flames of fire. Come and once christ enters the room, his eyes burning like fire, everything has to shift in his blessed name. So the more that you tire yourself out trying to fight the devil using these um tactics and a lot of times the enemy really will try to goad you into these attacks here try to goad you into fighting him so you can tire yourself out. Why? Because you can never win against the enemy without the power of Christ Jesus. It is Christ Jesus, it is the name of Jesus, it is that name, it is that name of the Lord Jesus, yeshua Elohim Adonai, his blessed name. It is the power of Christ that saves you.
Speaker 1So we can get kind of tired out about like the spiritual warfare thing. We can kind of sometimes make it over complicated. But look at your word. It says it right here Psalm 121, verse 7. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil. Make that a declaration. The Lord shall preserve me from all evil. The Lord preserves me from all evil. The lord preserves me from all evil. Why? Because he promised you that he would never leave you or forsake you. He says as the mountains surround jerusalem, so the lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forever. So I would implore you and encourage you to work on.
Speaker 1If you're struggling in this area, think about it as what is your relationship in terms of the security you have in your relationship with Christ Jesus? Are you secure in that? Do you actually feel rooted and grounded? And we're not really always going based upon our feelings, you know, while we could sometimes not necessarily feel it, but do you know that? You know that. You know that. You know you're a child of God.
If you're ready to come to the Lord, there's no better time than right now. I'm going to be hosting in the New Year a whole Bible reading challenge. I invite you to help pray for the ones listening today and their salvation.
Speaker 1And if that's the case, every promise is yes and amen. The promise that you are more than a conqueror in Christ. The promise that it is finished the Lord has already defeated them. The promise that soon Satan shall be under your feet. The promise that you are friends. Security, security, security, security, security in Christ Jesus, security in what he's doing, what he's done and what he's going to do. Stay with Jesus, stay with God, stay with the Holy Spirit. You can not fail that way. The battle's already won. You're fighting from a place of victory. You're not fighting the devil for victory. You're fighting already from a place of victory. You're just enforcing the law when you know your identity in Christ Jesus. I pray that this blesses you. If you need prayer, if you want to speak about mentorship or discipleship, you can contact me. Week about mentorship or discipleship, you can contact me. As always, I leave space at the end of every one of these conversations to allow you to come to the Lord if you're ready for that, and there's no better time than right now.
Speaker 1You know the Lord says that he will save all who call upon his name. It's a promise coming out of the book of Romans, romans, chapter 10, verse 13, saying for whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. And what a promise is that? Saved from what? Saved from their sin, saved from eternal separation from God, saved from their depression, saved from their despair, saved from their anguish. We just don't have to walk in that as we have put on Christ as our garments, as we learn to allow Him to truly be the lord of our life. Those sufferings, those things that we go through, oh, he says, my burden is easy, my yoke is light and maybe, as I'm speaking, some of the sounds like christianese, and I get it. You know, I get it.
Speaker 1But yet there is a tugging and a pulling on your heart, and so I would ask you to just if you're ready this is not a special formula, but if you're ready to confess Jesus, maybe you're ready to come back to him and renew your relationship with him. He's here already and he's ready for you. So you can repeat this after me. And if you already know Jesus well, I invite you to help pray for the ones listening today and their salvation Say Lord Jesus, I confess that you are the Lord, you are the son of God and you died for my sins and you rose again on the third day with all power in heaven and earth given unto you. Lord, I'm ready to give my life to you, I'm ready to surrender to you my God and I'm ready to start living for you and letting you be the Lord of my life, letting you be the king of my life, fill me with your Holy Spirit, lord, I pray. Baptize me with the Holy Spirit and power and fire and with love. In the name of jesus, I pray. And if you just said that prayer for the very first time, welcome to the family.
Speaker 1Hey, thank you for tuning into this episode. I invite you to go follow me on my socials at jamieslachelle. I'm gonna be in the new year hosting and you're hearing about it here first. So if you got to the end of this episode, congratulations, because you're getting this first. I'm going to be hosting in the new year a whole Bible reading challenge and we're not gonna take the whole year to do it because, guess what, frankly, we don't have that kind of time and maybe that's another podcast episode for another day.
Speaker 1No, I'm not doom and glooming in times talking, but I'm saying that you know we just don't have a lot of time to waste creeping through our Bible when we haven't read the whole thing. Like, I really am so passionate about every woman knowing her Bible, every woman not necessarily having to call herself a biblical scholar. Maybe that feels too haughty or lofty for you, but every believer needs to have heard and encountered every single word of God and I just believe it. I believe that you know, and I don't condemn you, I don't judge you if that's not you, but if you have ever felt the tug, you want to like read your whole Bible and you've just had a challenge getting through it because, come on, like it's a big task. It's big, it's a lot of words.
Speaker 1I'm going to be hosting in the new year and every word of the bible challenge and you'll be hearing about it first on my instagram, because that's where I hang out the most, so go follow me there if you're not already, and I'll be dropping more links and stuff on that platform. But in the I just want to thank you again. I want to bless you and ask and just pray over you that the Lord himself would bless you, would guard you, would rule your life, would rule your heart, and that he would keep you safe and protect you until we meet again.
