Speaker 1:

Hey guys, welcome to Business Chef Podcast, where we talk about how to make content, personal, brand and monetize your skills online, other than working in the kitchen, so that you can have multiple income source to feed your family, live better life and, most importantly, love yourself. As a chef, I'm on my journey, building a million dollar empire, documenting my process and I'm sharing with all of you, so please share and enjoy. When people start social media marketing, when they're trying to grow their business or they're trying to grow their personal brand, a lot of people get stuck on the social media marketing part because they have to make all these videos, they have to make all these reels and they have to study how all these social media work, and there are all different types of platforms, like Instagram, tiktok, linkedin, youtube. How does that even work? Right, it's just so complicated in the beginning. Most people do for a couple months and they start to give up. So in this video, if you're an entrepreneur, if you're trying to build your personal brand, I'll show you the step by step social media marketing one on one, and this is how I also got more than 5000 followers in TikTok within just a month. This is a basic, basic knowledge that you guys have to know when you're first starting out your social media marketing.

Speaker 1:

So the first thing that you have to keep in mind is that your only reason that you're in social media is to sell something. There is absolutely no reason to be on social media if you're not selling something Like what's the point of watching other people's lives? What's the point of seeing all this Lamborghini, rolls Royce and Instagram, seeing other people getting rich and complaining about their lives? What's the point of watching them? All right, make use of it. Become someone who create those contents rather than just consuming them. So there is only one thing that you have to keep in mind that if you're on social media, you're there to sell something. You're absolutely not there to stalk other people. You're there to sell something.

Speaker 1:

So there are mainly three things that you can sell service, products or attention. It's either you can do one or you can even do all of them. Service is a service. You're a business owner who provide a local service. You can sell service through social media marketing. Second is product. You can advertise your product through social media and get people to sign up for your offers or your websites or whatever, and get them to buy. Or you're selling attention, which most people do on social media, which most people think that that is the only way to make profit from social media, which is not true. There are. You know, you can simply sell service, you can simply sell product, or you can even combine them all together and get attention as well. So attention is basically what you guys kind of thinking right now. It might be something like entertainment you can like dance, you can sing, it can be like a comedian, or I'm personally not an entertainment guy, so I don't really like fully grasp the vibe of those entertainment contents.

Speaker 1:

But so the first step is to choose what to sell. It's either one of those three, right. And when you choose what to sell, the next one you should do is you got to pick a platform based on your target audience and market. It can be Instagram, tiktok, youtube, linkedin, pinterest, podcast, blog, whatever that works for you. Once you choose a platform, and then you choose how to engage is it by organic contents, is it by paid ads, or is it by cold reach outs, which I'm personally using organic contents, which I personally recommend to everybody. There's absolutely time and place where you should create organic contents and run paid ads and do cold outreach. But first, when you're starting out, you should start creating organic contents, because the difference between organic contents and paid ads is in paid ads, your reach is guaranteed where your effectiveness isn't, but on the other hand, for the organic content, your reach is not guaranteed, but you can see which gets effective through this algorithm. So once you choose how to engage after that is you maxing out the volume? So when you start, probably you're going to post one video per week and then start with two videos per week, three videos per week, four videos per week. It's about increasing the volume of what you do after all the method and platforms that you choose.

Speaker 1:

So you're creating a long form content like YouTube content like YouTube video, if let's say like. For my case, if I'm creating something like 10 minute or 15 minute video, I roughly get about between five to 10 short form contents out of that long form video Usually Instagram Reels or TikTok and YouTube Shorts. They recommend a video less than 60 seconds, which you can upload a lot longer from content, though, but I recommend you guys to create a short form content just within 60 seconds, because it's easier to upload all these three platforms at the same time, and I'll teach you guys that how later, when you're first starting out, I recommend you do a one YouTube video per week, which is going to be extremely hard. It's going to be a lot of work and time consuming. When you're first starting out, as you guys do it, you're going to get used to it, you know definitely you're going to find a easy way to work. You're going to find what works best for you and you're going to find the most efficient workflow that will give you that one video per week. And once you have that long form content, make 60 second Reels. Just you know. Edit those highlights and make it like you know. Give a hook, make it interesting, summarize that specific topic within 60 seconds. Make a short form contents.

Speaker 1:

If I created a video about 10 minutes or 15 minutes video, I roughly get about between five to 10 short form contents. When I create four videos per month, that comes about 22,. You know about 30 to 40 Reels a month, which makes me possible to post every single day. So if you guys been watching my TikTok or Instagram or YouTube Shorts, I've been posting every single day. That's how it is actually possible.

Speaker 1:

There's a thing that I want to say about posting something that every day is that it has nothing to do with algorithm or reaching more people. Maybe they do. That's not the main reason why I post every single day. The reason why you must post every single day is to check your consistency, is to keep the promise that you made with yourself. That is the whole point of posting every single day. That's why I mentioned in the beginning is going to be extremely hard. It's going to be a lot of work when you begin, but the reason why you should still do it is to affirm your commitment towards your social media marketing and creating organic contents. That's the whole point of posting every single day.

Speaker 1:

It's not about all this algorithm making all these viral videos Like you will find the way. You know, down the road you will find problems and you will be curious about why this video is not working, why people are not watching. You know those are going to be the things that you will be distressed about. So don't worry about this All algorithm and strategies and stuff like that. But again, it might help. It might really help. If you post every single day, it will push that algorithm to. You know, identify your account as a stable account and, you know, consistent account, so it might help your reach. But you know again, don't worry about that when you're starting out.

Speaker 1:

Focus on the process, focus on affirming your commitment towards the promise that you made with yourself. That's the most important part of the social media marketing in my opinion, and this is how I create my contents on for my YouTube videos and for my TikTok and Instagram. So if I just pick one day in a month and shoot four videos, that gives me four YouTube videos. That is good for one month and I'll get all this short form contents from that. Four videos. That is enough for me to post for 30 days. Right, like, I've been having all these technical difficulties and failed to upload for a certain week, and that happens. You know, shit happens. But again, if you're actually committed to your process, then you will end up posting anyways. You'll end up creating a content and you will end up being actually consistent with your work. I think this is also one of the biggest reasons why I could get all this 5,000, 6,000 followers within a month.

Speaker 1:

In my TikTok. I personally edit my videos with Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve. As I color grade, we went DaVinci Resolve and I cut and edit everything, all these basic edits and cuts. With Final Cut Pro, I integrate these two softwares and make a content which saves me a lot of time and increase my content quality extremely high compared to other people, and it's possible for me to do it alone. And after I export all these videos, I always use this platform called Metricool, which is a social media management platform which enables you to post and schedule all your contents on all these different platforms YouTube, shores, tiktok, instagram, linkedin, pinterest, google all these platforms. That's how I schedule all my contents for the following month.

Speaker 1:

Give it a try. This will make your life a lot easier. Real quick, guys, if you're enjoying this podcast. I don't run any ads on this. I don't sell anything, so the only ads that I have is that help me spread the words so that we can help more chefs monetize their skills online, make more money and have their own successful restaurants. The only way we do that is to rate, review and share this podcast. If you find this podcast valuable, leave a review. It takes five seconds and, most importantly, it may change the world for the better.
