What is Energy?
In this episode, I explore healing beyond the physical body and the unseen energetic forces that connect us all.
I share my personal journey into energy, consciousness, and the comfort found in understanding that we are part of something greater. We look at how energy has been used across cultures and traditions through prayer, intention, and healing practices such as acupuncture, Bowen therapy, Reiki, and distance energy work.
I also explore the intelligence of nature—how plants and trees communicate through mycelium networks—and what this teaches us about connection, healing, and balance.
This episode is an invitation to remember that we are more than physical bodies. We are energy. We are interconnected. We are part of the cosmos.
Marie gives an insight into understanding with vibrations and frequencies matter when it comes to your skin and wellbeing. She takes you on a journey of how the environment we surround ourselves in and the people we associate with can impact our mood and health.

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to the idea that healing goes far beyond the physical body. Even before I had the words for it, I could sense that there was something deeper an energetic dimension. It shaped our lives, our health and our emotions, and the way we connect with one another and interact with one another. As a child, I was always curious about things that I couldn't see. I noticed how moods could change and shift in a room instantly, how being around certain people could either lift you or feel nourishing while others felt really draining and heavy. I also was very aware how nature had a presence, trees, water, wind, they felt alive, responsive, and intelligent. Long before I understood the concepts of energy or frequency, I always felt them. What truly deepened my understanding was the belief that we don't learn in our lifetime. We're remembering that when we pass, we don't disappear. We return, we become something far greater, a wider field, a cosmic intelligence source that we came from in the first place. Now this belief has brought me immense comfort, particularly after losing my dad. Grief is opening me up and making me experience feelings that I never knew existed. And in that openness, I began to notice moments of connections, synchronicities, feelings of presence that couldn't be explained by logic alone. Now, these experiences haven't pulled me away from reality. They've rooted me more deeply into it. They've showed me that life doesn't end. It transforms through those moments. I have come to understand something quite profound. We are not separate from the cosmos. We are expressions of it. We are the macro within the micro. The universe is experiencing itself through our human form. We are more than carbon, more than biology, more than flesh and bone. We are energy. And when you start to see life through that lens, healing changes completely because healing at its core is not about fixing something that's broken. It's about restoring a connection, restoring flow, restoring remembrance. And that understanding isn't new. It's ancient. It's lived in every culture, every spiritual system, every healing tradition across time. Take prayer, for example, across religions, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, indigenous, spiritual practices, all of them. Prayer has always been a way of directing energy and intention, whether that's spoken aloud, whispered, silently, sung, chanted, or felt. Prayer is focused consciousness. It's energy given direction through belief and emotion. Science tells us that focused intention affects the nervous system, the heart's coherence, and even cellular communication. But long before science measured it, humans felt it. Prayer was never just words. It was a frequency. It's a resonance and it's alignment. When groups pray together, energy amplifies. When someone prays with deep emotion like hope, grief, or love, that's energy. It's energy carrying information. And what's beautiful is that prayer has never required physical proximity. People pray across oceans, across lifetimes, dimensions. It's always been a form of distance, energy work. The same can be said in eastern medicine. Acupuncture, for example, works with qi, the life force of energy that flows through the meridians in the body. Now these meridians aren't visible in dissection, but their effects are undeniable. When energy becomes stagnant, blocked or excessive symptoms arise in the body like pain, illness, emotional imbalance, and by inserting needles into specific points, acupuncture restores the flow, reminding the body how to regulate itself. Bone therapy is the same, although it's more subtle, more gentle movements over muscle and connective tissue. These send signals to the nervous system prompting the body to reset it's not forceful. It's intelligent. It trusts the body's innate wisdom. Bowman doesn't do healing. It invites it. Similar to Reiki, this is another expression of universal energy. The practitioner is the conduit. It allows the life force of energy to flow through where it's needed. Reiki doesn't come from the practitioner. It moves through them. And again, it works just as powerfully at a distance as it does in person because energy is not confined by space. What all these therapies share is a recognition that the body is not just mechanical, it's energetic, emotional, responsive, and conscious. Humans are not the only beings who understand this. Plants and trees are extraordinary examples of energetic intelligence. Trees don't exist in isolation. They grow in communities. Beneath the forest floor lies the intricate network of mycelium, often called the wood wide web. And through this network, trees communicate. They share nutrients, they warn each other of danger. They support weaker trees by sending them resources. Older mother trees nourish younger saplings guiding their growth. Trees respond to vibration. Plants grow differently depending on music words or intention, and they react to your human presence. They thrive when they're cared for with awareness. Energy is communication. Connection is survival. Isolation is unnatural and humans have forgotten this, but our bodies haven't. When we reconnect to nature, truly reconnect, we remember our nervous systems regulate. Our breath deepens. Our thoughts slow. And this isn't a coincidence, it's a resonance. Our energy is aligning with a larger, coherent field, and this remembering is central to the work I do today. Through energy therapy, I support people in releasing stored emotional energy, clearing energetic blocks, and reconnecting to their natural blueprint for wellbeing. I work with the subtle energies, the systems that sit beneath the body, the patterns that shape how we experience life. A core part of this understanding is the cosmic blueprint, the idea that each person carries an energetic signature, and this is a unique frequency that holds information about who you are. What you carry and how you heal. Trauma, stress, grief and conditioning can distort that signal and energy work helps to restore clarity. Distance energy therapy is a powerful extension of this. Just as prayer, reiki and intention transcend space energy work can be received anywhere through quantum. Clients often report profound shifts, sometimes deeper than in-person sessions. This is because they're more relaxed and open and receptive in their own environment. This understanding, this remembering, is what has led me to create the Sella Retreat. The Sella retreat is not about escaping life. It's about returning to it fully awake. It's an experience designed to reawaken knowledge that already lives within you. It's to reconnect you to your intuition, to your body, to your energy field, and to your place within the greater whole. It's an immersion into awareness, into learning, into remembering. You don't just attend sala. You experience it, you soften, you open, you reconnect. You leave with a deeper understanding of yourself and the invisible threads that bind you all to each other. Because when we truly understand energy, we realize something is essential. We were never meant to heal alone. We were never meant to be disconnected, and we were never just physical beings. We are energy moving through form. We are the macro within the micro. We are the part of the forest, the cosmos, the unseen web that holds everything together. And when we remember that healing stops being something we chase and becomes something that we allow.
