Across the DinerVerse
Ep 2: Hippies, Murder + Painting with Fire! Beeliner Diner, Alexandia, Va.
Show Notes

Host John Murphy talks with diner co-owner, Noelie, about being raised in a hippie commune in Seattle and finding acceptance at a small cafe called--you guessed it, the Beeliner. Noelie shares the joy of her diner being a place for comfort after a local tragedy brought people together to share in their grief, creating an atmosphere of healing.

A man named, Albert, tells his story of growing up in the south as America wrestled with civil rights unrest, going to prison, becoming a pastor, working beside infamous Watergate felon, Charles Colson, in prison ministry and convincing a member of his own church to turn himself in for a murder he committed twenty years earlier.

The Beeliner is truly unique in that gallery-quality art is installed on the walls. Murphy talks with Markos, the artist who created the paintings about his journey into the DinerVerse and creating works of art using fire and smoke.
