No Visibility No Policy - Gender-based violence: The shadow pandemic

Our new podcast "No Visibility, No Policy" in collaboration with ESC project Cap the Gap from the NGO YEU Cyprus, created and hosted by Joana Fernandes, aims to discuss issues around underrepresented people in traditional media, such as the LGBTQIA+ community, marginalised ethnicities, as well as other underrepresented groups.

In this episode, together with Maria Angeli from the Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies, we discuss the lack of visibility of gender and related issues in the media, how gender-based violence tends to be portrayed, the lack of policies around this problem, and other aspects that reinforce the invisibility of women and gender minorities.
