No Visibility No Policy - Women and leadership: Why are we still discussing this?

Our new podcast "No Visibility, No Policy" in collaboration with ESC project Cap the Gap from the NGO YEU Cyprus, created and hosted by Joana Fernandes, aims to discuss issues around underrepresented people in traditional media, such as the LGBTQIA+ community, marginalised ethnicities, as well as other underrepresented groups.

 We discuss the underrepresentation of women in leadership and decision-making, and how this still is affected by traditional gender roles and reinforced by religion. We touch on the current situation in Cyrpus and what has been done about it, as well as some typical measures to promote greater representation. Overall, we share a lot of our frustration that women still have to fight to occupy positions where they are just as competent as men but aren't given a chance.
