Ever wondered what it takes to transport stars, crew, and equipment for major film productions? In this fun and educational conversation with Nick Day, co-CEO of Edge Auto, we learn how New Jersey has transformed into a filmmaking powerhouse that rivals any location worldwide.
The Garden State is experiencing a cinematic renaissance, fueled by Governor Murphy's film tax credit program that has attracted Netflix, Lionsgate, and countless productions to set up permanent operations. When these companies film on location, they need everything from luxury SUVs for stars to box trucks for equipment—all of which Edge Auto provides with their employee-owned business model that ensures exceptional service.
Listen up as Nick shares fascinating insights about the logistics that make productions possible, from partnering with Teamsters Local 817 for professional drivers to expanding their fleet with electric vehicles. He explains why New Jersey has become so attractive to filmmakers: its incredible geographical diversity allows productions to shoot beach scenes one day and mountain sequences the next, all within short driving distances.

Meet Nick Day of Edge Auto Rental
Speaker 1Hey Jeanette .
Speaker 2Hi Rachel . So we just got off a good interview ? Yes , we did , and we're feeling like celebrities , or almost we will be celebrities .
Speaker 1We will be one day if we can ride in Edge Auto Transportation . Who is who we spoke with . Tell them about , tell everybody about who we talked to .
Speaker 2So we spoke with Nick Day . He is the co-chief executive officer of Edge Auto Rental . You probably have seen their trucks around .
Speaker 1I know I have For sure . You have seen them . They're everywhere . If you've lived in New York City , if you've lived in New Jersey , you've seen their cars .
Speaker 2They're moving film equipment , recording equipment for commercials , TV , streaming movies , everything . They move people , they move equipment .
Speaker 1They move lots of things , so he's part of the board of the Screen Alliance of New Jersey . And they are a group of different types of industry players within the entertainment industry in New Jersey and they are putting together their first ever film expo and it's going to be at the Meadowlands in Rutherford and it's going to be on May 1st from 11 am to 7 pm and I'm going to go . I'm going to be there , you know , wandering around seeing what's going on .
Speaker 2He said that you could see people's like fancy trailers . You could see what a makeup trailer looks like .
Speaker 1You could really see a lot like behind the scenes and talking about all the big studios are coming , like Lionsgate and Newark , or Netflix or Nork Nork , as we learned in Nork . Okay , so all these different studios that are popping up or have been here in New Jersey are going to be there . There's going to be panels , there's going to be a lot of interesting things . But we also talked to Nick about his company . That is part of the entertainment industry , where they shuttle around . You know people like people that are coming from the World Cup . You know that need to get to and fro .
Speaker 2I can't believe we're having the World Cup . It's pretty extraordinary , I have to say . You know our governor , phil Murphy . He really has done a lot for our state . But also these tax credits and Film Commission is really enticing so many more production companies to happen here and Nick will explain why on so many levels this works for New Jersey .
Speaker 1It's a great episode and if you can make it to the expo , it will be the first of its kind . And it's big , it's big Thousands . It's going to show you that New Jersey is a player .
Speaker 2Yes , new Jersey is where it's at that's right , okay , enjoy .
Speaker 1Thank you for coming on . Lost in Jersey , we were very happy to get you on and we know that you're busy .
Speaker 3Oh , I appreciate that , and I was on your webpage checking out all of your other podcasts and all the other information . It looks like I'm in a very good company , so I'm very honored to be here .
Speaker 1Oh great , I'm glad . So thank you for checking out our website . We're New Jerseyans .
Speaker 2Well , we're not long-term Jerseyans , we're faux Jerseyans in that we're new here as of like less than 20 years . We didn't grow up here but we've been raising our families here and that's sort of the premise of why we started the podcast was to get to know our neighbors and people doing work or some sort of have a tie to Jersey . We were excited to just look at the background of your companies and figure out like we obviously love the Montclair Film Festival and we work with them and we go to the festival and we also consume a lot of entertainment just on a regular basis . So we're excited to have you come on and share sort of the behind the scenes , how all of that can be made to happen and how New Jersey is supporting the arts in that way for production .
Speaker 3Right . Like you , I've lived in New Jersey about 10 years , so I think I've been here long enough that I can no longer get labeled as a Taurus .
Speaker 1Yeah .
Speaker 3We love it . We live in Secaucus in North Jersey , we have our family here , we love the schools , we love the area . So we're very happy . And anything I can do to promote my new home state I'm happy to do .
Speaker 2That's great . So we like to know before we get started
New Jersey Film Industry Growth
Speaker 2on the work stuff and the Jersey stuff before we get started on the work stuff and the Jersey stuff . But so a little bit of your background , of where you grew up and how you ended up in this industry and in New Jersey .
Speaker 3Sure , sure . Well , I grew up in Delaware Beach . Delaware is my hometown , nice , definitely consider myself a beach person . Ultimately became a lawyer 30 plus years ago . I was in Philadelphia . I had a corporate law practice there and then moved up to Manhattan . When we were married , I married my first wife , who lived in Manhattan . That kind of got me up here . And then my second wife and I started our home in New Jersey because we just liked the fact that we could have our kids with a little more green and a little closer to all of the things that we love , whether it's the mountains or the beach or parks . So that brought us back to New Jersey . So I got into the industry . Probably about 10 years ago I hooked up with my current company , edge Auto . So Edge is a big rental car and truck company into the film and television production industry .
Speaker 2We see your trucks in Montclair a lot and then also in Manhattan . Obviously we see them all over . So I'm familiar with the brand .
Speaker 3Great to hear , so happy that you recognize the brand . The brand has been around since 2006 . So our two co-founders , william Harris and Rudy Caligari , started the business a long time ago , kind of from their kitchen table . William had the big auto industry background and was a race car driver and he knows all about the vehicles . Rudy is from the production world , so he's got the film and television background . So when they came together they kind of linked the two industries the automotive and the film and television industries .
Speaker 3And you know , people don't really think about the transportation needs of this industry . You kind of think about a soundstage or something that's very much kind of a confined space . But the truth is , pick a TV show , pick a movie , they go on location all the time . And when they go on location they need to get their stars to the location and luxury SUVs , they need to get their cast and their crew and the rest of the team there , potentially transit vans or buses . They need to get the lighting and the equipment and the catering supplies and they need camera trucks and box trucks and everything else . So very few companies offer all of that with one phone call . So that's really where Edge comes to play . You're going on location , you need to get all of your stuff to that location that crazy hours and weekends and everything else that crazy hours and weekends and everything else and we're 24-7 and we can really supply , you know , all of the vehicle needs that you might have when you go on to a production , wherever it may be .
Speaker 1Now is Edge . Is it primarily in New Jersey and New York ? Are those the two states it works in ?
Speaker 3Yeah , it's a great question . So we are really kind of New York Metro and New Jersey . Our headquarters is in Brooklyn . That's where we started the company . We expanded into Queens many , many , many years ago . We moved to New Jersey I'd say recently , three years ago now Because we saw all of the film and television production starting to really happen there and we really followed our clients in New Jersey .
Speaker 3Because when we saw all the big production companies begin to open new locations in New Jersey , because when we saw all the big production companies begin to open new locations in New Jersey , you know we got to get out there so we can be next to the clients , right . Well , yeah , this is really the genesis of this whole explosion of film and television production in New Jersey is the film and digital media tax credit that Governor Murphy has really kind of kicked into gear . So once that happened and all of the studios started to open up and you've heard of the Netflix new space in Monmouth , Lionsgate , all of the new big production spaces that are now being opened in New Jersey and all of the other ancillary businesses that are now in New Jersey to support these major major productions that's all happened over the past . You know , three to five years and now that it's here , we felt , like you know , we needed to be next to our clients . We could provide , you know , even better service .
Speaker 1And how has that been going ? I mean , are you seeing just an upward trajectory ? Absolutely .
Speaker 3It's a great question . So it has not been all sunshine and roses , because in 2023 , there was two big strikes that impacted the industry the actor's strike , because production is basically shut down for a fairly extensive period
Transportation Needs in Film Production
Speaker 3of time . So you know , we had kind of scaled back our business . Now , 2024 and now 2025 , we're seeing the rebound from those strikes and the productions are coming back in a bigger and bigger way . So it hasn't been just a hockey stick of growth right , but certainly right now , very exciting times in New Jersey . There's a lot happening and 2025 will be bigger than 2024 , which is bigger than 2023 . So we're on that growth trajectory now .
Speaker 2I wanted to ask some questions about the opportunities that the changing landscape of all the production is creating for companies like yours . Now , you know , like you were saying , it's not just all on a soundstage and a lot of even TV shows that seem to have the same sets do do a lot of things on location and you know Georgia , we know , had a big tax credit for a long time and had a lot of productions , and I love that our governor has been helping spur that creativity and that business and those jobs to come to New Jersey . It does seem like intuitive that when you're like creating a streaming show and if you're not just a huge Netflix but you're wanting to get it bought by a Netflix , it's much more convenient to have Edge or other companies like that provide you with those logistics rather than source it all yourself , because that seems like it would be very difficult if you're a smaller production .
Speaker 3Yeah , whether you're small or large , there are too many components to a production to try to do it all yourself .
Speaker 3It's just too , there's too many components to it . Even a small , you know , 30 second shoot for a television show or for a movie , there are hundreds of people on that set , probably between all of the lights , camera in action and all the activities and all the different transportation needs and the caterers and the makeup and the wardrobe . So you know it's impossible to source all that in one place , particularly on the road , right when you're on location . So you have to rely on the infrastructure to support you and hopefully you have people experienced in the industry that can kind of understand the different demands of the industry , and I'm not just saying that on behalf of Edge , but all of the different infrastructure support organizations . Even if you're a catering company , you need to understand the unique needs , the timing requirements , because if it shoots at dawn , breakfast might not need to be two hours before dawn , right , it's not need to be two hours before dawn . It's not going to be 9 am every morning , Right .
Speaker 2So you need to , whatever part of the industry you're touching , very unique needs and they're small , whether it's a small production or a large one , they all have the need to kind of go outside of their internal resources . As co-CEO , do you still feel like you're utilizing your legal background a lot , or how are you feeling that that morphed into this new type of business ? Sure ?
Speaker 3Listen , it's a great question .
Speaker 3So I look at it like every time that we're not sending something outside to a law firm to look at , because I can look at that , that's money that we can save to put into operations and sales and customer support , right .
Speaker 3So certainly try to keep the legal budget down from that perspective and frankly , I think it helps to be able to understand all the different elements of the business . When you can look at contracts and the insurance and some of the taxes , and when people are running a business they'd like to talk about all the fun elements of it . And when people are running a business they'd like to talk about all the fun elements of it . And I'm sure you guys with your business know just as well as I do that HR , insurance , tax , there's some parts of the business that might not be quite as like sizzly , but if you can get into the weeds on that stuff and understand it , you can certainly save some money for the company . And that's part of I think my legal background can come to bear with some of those other elements of the business as well .
Speaker 1That makes sense . Well , I would like to ask a couple of questions about the actual vehicles and the labor involved . Sure , specifically about two things . One , I saw that you had posted a little bit about the World Cup coming up , and you also posted about the electric vehicles that you're now offering for certain requests , because I'm sure that people are trying to be more climate friendly and have the sustainability . So those are two things that I'd like to know . And then the drivers and crew that are involved . What do you provide ? Like , let's just say that somebody calls you and says you know , we have , we need to pre-order for all the you know , world Cup team players , a luxury 15 seat , you know thing , and they're going to have baggage and they're going to have crew , they're going to have all this stuff . Is that how it works ? They're like pre and then and they also want the EV one .
Speaker 3Yeah , yeah . Well , there are a lot of questions in there . Yeah , I'll start with , maybe with the World Cup piece , right , because we are certainly so happy that the World Cup is coming to the Meadowlands , which is , you know , a few minutes from our
World Cup Transportation & Sustainability
Speaker 3house . Yeah , we hope we get to actually see some games .
Speaker 2For sure , I hope we get to actually see some games .
Speaker 3But there are going to be millions of people , you know , coming in to our region for the first time , visitors from all over the world . And I've been to a few of the kind of World Cup planning events where they talk about all the different kind of activities that are going to be surrounding the World Cup Watch parties and parks with big screens and a celebration of all the different cultures of the world . And one of the reasons that we're hosting the World Cup is because we have a lot of those cultures are right here in our area .
Speaker 3And it's celebrating really the diversity of our area , which is a wonderful thing to celebrate . So we can't wait to be part of that excitement . So we can't wait to be part of that excitement and when all these teams and all the support cast and all the media and the corporate sponsors and the fans , they come into the region , we would certainly love to be able to , you know , rent them , our transit vans primarily . That's really the solution we're trying to provide to the World Cup planning committee . We have got 15 passenger vans , 11 passenger vans committee . We have got 15 passenger vans , 11 passenger vans .
Speaker 3If you're bringing your corporate team into the region , you can get three or four Ubers . You can rent three or four vehicles for your team . But if you could put everybody in a one person , one vehicle , and you've taken four or five vehicles off of the streets and you do that in a large scale way , you're really helping with the congestion because it's going to be a big problem and it do that in a large scale way , you're really helping with the congestion because it's going to be a big problem and it's going to be an issue that the area is going to have to deal with .
Speaker 3I mean when we talk about sustainability , maybe this is a good transition into that conversation . If you're bringing a team in and you can put your 12 people into one vehicle as opposed to four vehicles . If you think about the carbon impact of that visit , right , and companies are really beginning to start to measure their impact from travel . If you continue down that line of thinking and you try to reduce the impact of the vehicles that you're renting now you also want to make that maybe an electric vehicle that you're renting to further reduce the impact and if you're doing that for all of your business trips and you're really trying to think about how your business impacts the environment , it really can make a difference , and some of the public companies out there are really measuring that in excruciating detail to try to really get it .
Speaker 1Yeah , it's difficult , yeah , it's difficult no-transcript Right .
Speaker 3So it's a great question on the drivers . So , particularly in the studio and television business , we partner with Teamsters , local 817 . They provide the drivers . So when the clients come and they rent vehicles from us to go on their productions , we partner with 817 . They provide top notch , professional , safe drivers . So we couldn't be more pleased to be partnering with them and we don't have to hire our own internal drivers , which is , you know , unless you're really careful about who you hire and the training and the safety I mean driving in this area . I'm not sure if it's one of the most challenging areas in the world .
Speaker 1But I think it is .
Speaker 3I know there's a lot of crazy places to drive I've heard of . You know India has some pretty bad cities . For I think it is VIPs , high profile passengers , and they know how to handle that situation . It's not a time to be complimenting them on their last movie or asking for a selfie or telling them you know that's not what the passengers expect . They just want a professional ride from where they're going to where they're , you know , to their destination . Teamsters are excellent at that as well . So I'm glad you asked about that , because it's an important partnership for us for sure .
Speaker 1Well , I think that I definitely . I know we both have more questions about this .
Speaker 3Well , you know , if you let me respond to one other thing you mentioned , which I probably didn't really fully address why is it fun to
Screen Alliance NJ Film Expo
Speaker 3work for Edge ? And because we certainly have plenty of employees right , we're an employee-owned company and I think that's a really important part of our culture . So when you pick up or return a vehicle , you're talking to the lot attendant . If it's a maintenance person or a salesperson , I mean , you're talking to an owner of the company . So that mentality is something and that culture is really something we try to really emphasize here , because you have a little bit of a different kind of frame of mind if you're not just an employee but you own a part of the company and you're a little bit connected to the long-term success of the company . And if there is an accident , maybe you care a little bit more because that's partly your vehicle .
Speaker 2That was just damaged right .
Speaker 3So that's an important and it's also an important important benefit because the employees now , when they retire and they have a piece of the company , if we can continue to do well with the business , that could be significant impact on their overall kind of wealth building and their retirement plan .
Speaker 1Yeah , yeah , I know that one of the things that we do have to get to is the Streen Alliance of New Jersey , because they're having a big event coming up , and we'd just like to learn a little bit more about this . I think it's the first one of its kind .
Speaker 3Couldn't be more excited about this event . You're right , it's the first one we've ever put together . So we are certainly working hard these last couple of days before the event to try to make it the best possible experience for everyone . It looks like we'll have more than 3,000 people At least they've RSVP that they'll be attending . So it'll be a pretty sizable event and really designed to showcase how New Jersey has arrived as really a powerhouse for the production space right now and we can compete really with any state or country around the world in terms of the resources that we can provide to the filmmakers , the television producers that are looking for a location . So when they're looking , they're looking at a lot of different areas to determine like where am I going to shoot my next movie , my next television show ? Obviously the tax credit is high on the list because they have to be concerned about their budget and that's always a factor . Then they're looking at what talent is available for the shoot , not just the actors and actresses , but for the entire team .
Speaker 3What kind of talent is available , top-notch talent in this area . The New York talent is available , but there's plenty of talent right in New Jersey that is tip-tip , world-class , top-notch . What kind of infrastructure is available to support operations . And you look at companies like Edge Auto , emerald Green Trailers another sister company of Edge where it provides the talent trailers , the hair and makeup trailers , the wardrobe trailers that go on to location . So those type of companies that are readily available in New Jersey that can support your production . And then the locations themselves right , I mean New Jersey . I think you guys are from here , so you understand this . It is the Garden State , really , for a reason . You've got beaches , you've got parks , you've got mountains , beautiful cities , beautiful rivers , beautiful lakes , so really you could be at any location you might need within a reasonable amount of time as well , right ? So if you're putting this production together , you need to be on the beach one day and the mountains the next day . That's a trip you can do in New Jersey very easily .
Speaker 2Yep .
Speaker 3So all those factors , together with a very welcoming cultural environment as well , so that if you're going into a town or a city in New Jersey , you have the benefit of a welcoming response in most cases , because we want you here .
Speaker 2Yeah .
Speaker 3And the support of the New Jersey Film and Television Commission can't be understated either . They want these productions here . The team there is excellent at helping the productions overcome any obstacles they might have . So you've got a welcoming environment , a lot of support , infrastructure , talent , beautiful locations . So it's all of those things we want to highlight at this show on Thursday to really make it clear to the world that New , you know , new Jersey is the place , really the premier place , to come in and execute on your , on your project .
Speaker 1So , if you're a person that goes to this , what are you hoping that someone takes away with it ?
Speaker 3If you're in the industry , we certainly want you to leave knowing about the depth of the level of support that you get here . Right , and it's really kind of world-class support . So we're hoping to open some eyes to all the visitors Like , wow , I didn't realize New Jersey was this advanced in terms of what they could offer . And there'll be townships there presenting to showcase their town as a location . There'll be a lot of political representatives there that want to hear from the businesses about why this tax credit is so positive for the industry and for the state . There'll be other businesses there that want to showcase what they can do , maybe do some networking and get some business that way .
Speaker 3The lieutenant governor is going to be speaking at the event . There'll be other panels about the state of the industry , the talent in New Jersey , the technology advances in the industry and why New Jersey is on the cutting edge of the technology world as well . So I think those panels could be very relevant . Depending on and you can see online the agenda for the different panels , certainly some words from the lieutenant governor will be meaningful for everyone . We just hope people will have some fun too , because there'll be a lot of different businesses represented and maybe you learn a little something . The Emerald Green trailers , for example , will be on site . So if you want to see what does the star , what does their world look like when ?
Speaker 2they go into their star trailer .
Speaker 3What does the hair and makeup trailer really look like ? I mean , those are fun things to do . I think people will be intrigued to go and see kind of the level of detail and what being an actor really looks like when you have to do it on a daily basis on location .
Speaker 1Yeah , that would be fun . Really looks like when you have to do it on a daily basis on location . Yeah , that would be fun . I'll do that .
Speaker 3I'm going to be there and I'll definitely take a video inside of that trailer . Rachel , come with me . Yeah , yeah . You'd be the star . No napping on the beds , please .
Speaker 2All right fine , all right , fine , or driving it out of the lot , I'll be like this one's great , I'll take it .
Speaker 1I think they'll stop us . Yes , I know that recently we always get like these posts or like Jennifer Lopez is here or Adam Sandler's doing something in whatever restaurant and Timothee Chalamet is all over Newark , and you know , we've got the whole Bruce Springsteen film being filmed in different locations . You know , is there , are you aware of films that we're going to possibly shoot in other locations , that move to New Jersey for particular reasons ? Because of this ,
NJ Film Industry Impact & Benefits
Speaker 1because it's becoming so robust ?
Speaker 3I certainly know that a lot of , a lot of outstanding films have have selected New Jersey , a Complete Unknown . The Bob Dylan film was was shot , you know , all across the state . I think that's one that we should highlight because of its success . Yeah , I don't know if you guys have seen that movie . It's also if you're a Bob Dylan fan . For sure it's an awesome movie to watch .
Speaker 3But there is an endless list of fantastic shows , from the Sopranos to Succession to you know . The list could go on and on . And the Bruce Springsteen one I mean we're going to the Meadowlands , who I've seen in probably like 10 times in my life , so couldn't be a bigger Bruce Springsteen fan . But in terms of ones that have kind of made the decision from another location to make , I can't give you a specific answer for that one , but I'm sure a lot of these , I'm sure all of them , have considered other locations .
Speaker 3Nobody goes in thinking necessarily I'm going to make this shoot in New Jersey , except maybe Bruce Springsteen , because I love the state so much , but you know , I'm sure they're looking at all the alternatives that they have available and they're deciding on New Jersey because of all the benefits we talked about earlier .
Speaker 2Montclair has always had a bunch of things you know shoot here . We're pretty used to it as a town , so I think we're pretty good at respecting the privacy of the people who come that are celebrities and just feel proud that they think our town is worth shooting in . I think it is nice when we see that people will come and do a shoot , that not only do they have the trucks and everything , but the people will go to the boutiques , they'll start going to the stores , they'll go to some restaurants if they're there for a multi-day shoot , and then a lot of those businesses in this town and there's so many towns in New Jersey , obviously it's a huge state can reap the benefits too , not just from seeing a celebrity but also from getting some business .
Speaker 3Yes , you raise an excellent point . I mean just the coffee shops alone . Yeah , you know a couple of weeks of shooting . I've heard some stories from coffee shop owners to say they make more revenue in those few weeks than they do for the whole year , I'm sure . So you know dry cleaning and hotels and restaurants and printing and all the things that happen with .
Speaker 3You know hundreds of people come kind of , you know , pouring into town . It's always good for the economy . Of course it comes with maybe a little bit of inconvenience , some parking or a closed street et cetera , and sometimes you hear about the naysayers , you know , raising a flag about that . But you know the overall for the businesses of the community is very positive . They typically hire some local people to also help , which is also fantastic . And then you know it's a way to showcase that town too , because if there are some , you know portions of that film or television production that highlight that town , that town now has that . You know that can be used for a long , long time to bring tourists to the area , to highlight the town for other reasons . So it's very important on a lot of different levels .
Speaker 1Yeah , I agree . Well , one of the things about New Jersey that I remember early on when I was looking up all these different trivia facts about New Jersey , is that the first movie studio was in New Jersey . It was in 1893 in Orange , new Jersey . It was called the Black Maria and Thomas Edison had created it , and so I love that . We are kind of and I remember reading about this stuff it kind of went on for a while here in New Jersey and then it kind of shifted away , but so I love that it's coming back .
Speaker 1This industry is like really starting . I mean , it's not that it ever went completely away , but I know that there's been thousands of productions here of all different sorts , and so it's really I love that the Screen Alliance of New Jersey is really putting on this event , really trying to showcase how great it is to make movies or whatever production you're doing here . Now my last question is leading into the usual question that we have , but I'd like to put a little twist on it . We usually ask people to give a shout out to something that they absolutely love in New Jersey , and we do point that to you . But is there something you absolutely are so excited about that's happening in the film industry , that when you're touting what's happening , is there something that you love that's happening specifically .
Speaker 3I guess what I love the most is that the image of New Jersey is changing so dynamically and so rapidly .
Speaker 3That's pretty meaningful to me because I think people's image of New Jersey is unfortunately scarred by the New Jersey turnpike experience , which isn't always beautiful , and then Jersey Shore and some of the more kind of stereotypical things that people have seen . That's really not New Jersey . New Jersey is so much deeper than that culturally , and there's another level of sophistication and depth of beauty to this state that I'm excited is now going to be highlighted for the world to see . Then the World Cup will be part of that because the eyes of the world will be once again on New Jersey for that experience as well . So the diversity , the beauty and the kind of the wonderfulness of the state now gets to kind of come to the forefront
Discovering New Jersey's Hidden Gems
Speaker 3the historic . You know stereotypes are going to be put behind us .
Speaker 2We agree . We say the same thing all the time .
Speaker 1We're excited .
Speaker 2The rest of the world can see what's here .
Speaker 1I love that answer , right ? I mean , that's such the perfect answer .
Speaker 2What is your favorite part of New Jersey ?
Speaker 3I was going to actually say Monmouth Park , the racetrack , because I don't think everyone understands how much of a horse country New Jersey is . So New Jersey has more horses per capita than any state in the union . There are over 40,000 horses in New Jersey . There's 4,500 horse farms . I'm a big horse racing fan . I love horses and Monmouth Park has a lot of history . It's a beautiful place to visit and I think it's an under-celebrated part of New Jersey . It's horse country and it's under celebrated part of New Jersey is that it's really it's horse country and it's a it's a beautiful part of the state .
