Luke 23:6–25 highlights how Jesus stands trial before Herod and Pilate and is repeatedly declared innocent—yet He is still condemned under the pressure of accusations and a shouting crowd. The message invites us to slow down and see Jesus as the spotless Lamb, the only One truly without guilt, which is exactly why He can bear the guilt of sinners.

The sermon also warns us about the power of the crowd. What starts as accusation quickly becomes “Crucify him!”—a reminder of how easily truth can be drowned out by noise and momentum. The challenge is practical: are we letting God’s Word shape our thinking, or are we being formed by whatever voices are loudest?

Finally, the sermon focuses on Barabbas—a guilty man released while Jesus takes his place. That exchange points straight to the gospel: we are the guilty, and Jesus, proven innocent, is condemned in our place so that forgiveness, cleansing, and new life are possible for all who repent and trust Him.
