 They’ve been stealing the sauce, but now they’re finally admitting where the recipe came from— to their own benefit. This year’s Met Gala theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, claims to celebrate Black fashion and dandyism, but is this a real shift or just another moment of curated tokenism? And while some of us are being invited into the room, why aren’t they using that access to demand real investment where it matters?
