Speaker 1:

Welcome everybody to Cartoon Over Coffee. We got a great show for you today and remember you can join us live on X Spaces Monday through Friday, 9.30 am EST, 2.30 pm UTC, on today's show. If you're a gamer, you don't want to miss it. We're talking blockchain. We're talking gaming, all with Travis from Nitro League. Let's get started in to this amazing show.

Speaker 2:

Oh, snacks.

Speaker 3:

Check out.

Speaker 2:

Damn.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, man, it's like it was out there. Like man, I can't believe it. I was just like super, super happy posting about it this morning. So shout out to everybody doing the hard work and keeping the network safe and running. And, you know, thank you for all the steak pool operators. Yeah, shout out to Envy Pool down there.

Speaker 1:

He's a frequent visitor of the space doing a lot of development in the ecosystem.

Speaker 3:

And Carma and so many great, great, great, great steak pool operators in this space. So thank you guys. So much. And without being said, we're going to welcome another friend of the show, the guy, I think our friend Travis, behind the Nitro League PFP.

Speaker 4:

Gee, you all forgot Epoch Pool. Steak to Epoch is another one.

Speaker 3:

Steak to Epoch yeah, I got it. Yeah, that's stress-free steaking Epoch Pool. We can't forget how are we doing this? Morning GM Nitro. We're doing great Good morning, good morning, yeah.

Speaker 4:

So Nitro League, I guess let's just jump into it. Nitro League is a racing game. We are live in an early alpha. We went live about, I'd like to say, two months ago, but, like yesterday, feels like like in what three? One day feels like a year and a year feels like one day. So it may have been like two and a half three months ago, but we've recently launched an early alpha that we continue to kind of improve and build on and everything else that is fully playable, multiplayer or single player. We also have events such as a tournament coming up this next week that I'll talk about here in just a little bit, but we've went three for our gaming.

Speaker 4:

So we've got vehicles that are both off chain and on chain. We have got, I believe, eight or 10 vehicles on Cardano that are NFTs that can be purchased on JPEG store and used in game as your vehicle within the game. We've got a few on polygon, we've got a few on Virtua's shop within there and a few scattered in other places just different vehicles that are assets for you within the game. We also just yesterday actually kind of this this is a little alpha for the show here, because we haven't really announced it. We did our first real life real world track, the Dubai auto drone track. If anyone was in Dubai happened to see that race track. We now have that in the game. We have their branding and doing some cool stuff there, bringing them in the Shelby's that are on Cardano and polygon. Those are in game vehicles, one of the fan favorites there to race within Nitro. There's five different Shelby's, cobers and Mustangs now that are out there and released that you can race with and really kind of give you.

Speaker 3:

Travis, you're going so fast. I'm here trying to like take notes.

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry, I'm on Nitro.

Speaker 4:

I'm on Nitro.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I love it, like you're really on it, like, how much coffee do you have today? I'm on my fourth cup.

Speaker 4:

actually, I had a meeting at my first meeting at 5 30 am my time, so about four hours ago, and I've just been a pound in the coffee down. I've already finished the first pot.

Speaker 3:

Damn, how do I find this? Nfts? You said that there's like all these cars and things in Gardana. Where are they called? How do you find them? Are you minting them? Are you like what's going?

Speaker 4:

on. Yeah, so With with the vehicles, if you go to JPEG store and go to Virtua Cardano Island vehicles, back when Virtua with different mints they did, such as their land mints, some were giveaways different ways, like that, the Shelby we had sold two different Shelby's, one at CNFT con in 2022 and one at NFT LV in 2023. Those are on there as well on JPEG store. So you go to Virtua Cardano Island vehicles and it's any of the cars there. So the boats, the helicopters, the jets, those things of the sort are not in-game assets, but any of those cars are and you can go there and cars are yes yes, so the Shelby's there's some different nitro vehicles, cardano, the Cardano police force vehicles, and some of those are in there.

Speaker 4:

If you're a polygon person or you've got some Maddox laying around, we've got some vehicles on open sea there through polygon. And then if you're in the Virtua ecosystem, part of the Virtua games network, you can go to the shop and we've got three vehicles there in the shop two different Shelby's and one of our IPs that you can purchase with your credit card or debit card or or whatever the sort, and those are off-chain in-game assets.

Speaker 3:

So I'm just looking out of right here and I'm a little bit confused. So just the ones that are cars, just not helicopters, not Correct, oh.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, so Virtua had all kinds of different vehicles, boats, they had planes, they had helicopters, all these different kind of awesome gaming assets or potential gaming assets that we could use. They'll be used within Virtua, but then you know, we have all these vehicles laying around there, so it was easy to incorporate them there within nitro as well and gave a bigger variety and some more use case for those vehicles.

Speaker 3:

So any of the cars work for that, any of them not just Okay okay.

Speaker 4:

Any of the.

Speaker 3:

I see that there, there's some. They're like at a good you know, like if you want to pick up one and play. I mean there's some. They're like pretty, pretty affordable.

Speaker 4:

So you're making sure you actually don't even need and one of the vehicles or an NFT to race. When you download the game and start playing it, you get three vehicles there that are like kind of base vehicles that you can start with. So I always tell people, like you know, on the type that I want to play a game and try it out before I like go into, like spending on a game. I'm a big free to play kind of player in games. But then I'm also the same type that once I'm like in a game I'm gonna be spending, just don't tell my wife. But uh, yeah, so I mean, you don't even have to purchase, she does it's. Just you know, you know how that works. When the wife spends it's, you know, happy life. When the husband spends it's, what do you buy that for? That? That's, uh where that one comes from. But uh, I, yeah, I kind of lost my train of thought there.

Speaker 3:

I'm sorry, maybe my fault. No, you're fine.

Speaker 4:

But yeah, I tell people all the time, like you don't have to go spend any money, you don't have to go buy any assets, purchase any NFTs, anything like that. At the moment you can just get in there and give it a try. The vehicle that your stock standard vehicles that you get for free are much slower than some of the better vehicles. But at the same time we do have different crafting items, so like spoilers, engines, nitrous upgrades, tire upgrades, all that kind of stuff, so you can just play and grind your way up to a better vehicle without ever spending any money or participating in our tournaments and events can get you better vehicles as well.

Speaker 3:

Nice and you said tournaments and events. I'm interested in hearing about the tournaments.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, so we have what we're calling our third tournament kicking off on Monday, and I say third turn. Our first tournament was like a single player time trial type tournament and we didn't really advertise it, we weren't going on space to talk about it. We just kind of for the you know small people that were in our community. Our second tournament was in the beginning of December and we brought a couple other you know projects in, but again we didn't really market it too heavy, we didn't really talk about it too heavy and that was a multiplayer tournament. Those two tournaments were really to kind of get make sure all the bugs were worked out, polish up some tournament dynamics and get it a little more prepared for more people to come in. Now, with this third tournament, it's going to be our biggest one yet. We've got awesome partners. I'll read them all you know we've got TAP tools, we've got Danketsu, we got Avogachy.

Speaker 4:

TAP tools TAP tools TAP tools TAP tools.

Speaker 4:

We've got Miria, we've got MCvers, we've got Cap Games, we've got Samurai Saga, shells, orbs. We've got, I believe, about 15 to 20 partners in this tournament and, as how the tournament works is, it's completely free to enter, free to play. You don't need anything, you don't need an asset from any of these teams or anything. You go in there and you go to your profile and you select what team you want to race for. So if I want to race for team TAP tools, I'm going to go in there, I'm going to select team TAP tools and the tournament will run Monday to Sunday. They're multiplayer tournaments and you are rewarded points based on how you finish in that multiplayer race. The more points, the higher you're going to be on the leaderboard.

Speaker 4:

You can race as often as you want, as much as you want One time. You can race a thousand times. You can join the tournament on Monday. You can join it on Saturday. So you know, if you are gone can't get in there Monday, tuesday, wednesday. Don't feel left out. Join us on Thursday because it runs through Sunday, and the top 100 racers will receive an NFT for the vehicle team that they race for. So each of these teams have a custom branded vehicle that we worked with to get something created for them and you'll have that vehicle available to race in the tournament. But you won't have the NFT. You'll only be able to race with it in the tournament If you place top 100, you get it as an NFT and you can use it anytime and it's a racing asset. You can trade it with your friends, you can put it on the marketplace or you can use it the top three racers, that's exciting.

Speaker 3:

I want one of those.

Speaker 4:

That's a collector, you really picked my interest there's some really cool ones. I mean personally I really like the team TapTools ones. How?

Speaker 3:

do you show it? Are they public or no?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I think I have them. I'll try pinning it to the top here. Let me find it on a profile.

Speaker 3:

Oh my God, a TapTools car. Are you kidding me? How hard is it to play.

Speaker 4:

So you can use keyboard or, if you're like me on racing games, we also have controller support. There is some skill to the game. We've got some that are super competitive within the ecosystem and within our game, and then some that are just in there, like myself, that claim we're just playing for fun because we aren't good enough to be competitive, so. But we've got handbrakes for, like, drifting. We've got nitrous. You don't want to hit the walls. The walls will really hug you and kind of stop you. So yeah, there definitely is some skill to it, skill level to it, I'm gonna pin up.

Speaker 3:

I see those TapTools with the tapi in the background there. Oh my God, how cute.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'll pin up a couple of them.

Speaker 3:

I like the colors.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, the TapTools one came out really good, the Avogaci one looks really good.

Speaker 3:

The Dankitse one is good.

Speaker 4:

I think I'm biased.

Speaker 3:

I like the TapTools yeah.

Speaker 4:

I mean I've got TapTools as a special place in my heart between the team's awesome there, my tapis and it's just such an awesome service on Cardano.

Speaker 3:

I love it and I really love the tapi. There I said like imagining the driver, tapi driving is so cute, adorable.

Speaker 4:

No, and. But yeah, you can download it now and kind of get a feeling for the game before the tournament starts.

Speaker 3:

What are the specs Like is it like? Is it like really taxing for your PC? How is it?

Speaker 4:

No, so it's about a one gig download for the game, from my understanding. I have a like $300 laptop from Walmart. I've also got my PC, but my like really junk, crappy laptop with a million tabs open, runs and plays the game just fine, so it's a very low strain on those. You don't need a big gaming PC or anything of the sort. It's built on Unity. Yeah, it's PC. Only right now we're waiting on Mac support. Yeah, sorry, homie, that was me.

Speaker 3:

Travis, you got muted by mistake.

Speaker 4:

Thanks a lot, nudes. Thanks a lot. No, but we're waiting on Apple support right now and then we're just waiting on what they're calling a verification call. So I think everything's in line and we've gotten all this checklist stuff done that they sent to us to get the Mac support. Then we also have some game launchers and some well-known launchers, both Web3 and more traditional gaming, that we'll be launching with here soon, within the next couple of few weeks, to make it even more accessible, because some people aren't fans of downloading the game from a site and prefer to go through some of those launchers and stuff. So that's why we're a big reason why we're pushing into some of those.

Speaker 3:

Nice. If you're listening and you have any questions, you're more than free to come up here and ask them. We have Cronado review here with a hand up.

Speaker 2:

Hey, how's it going? Yeah, I'm downloading the game right now. It says it's got about seven minutes left. But I do understand that there's a lot of people who don't have PC and some of my friends on the Mac, because one of the things I do is I play a lot of these Web3 games and I make reviews and I post those up on my social media. So this is definitely one I will be making a review on and post it up. So make sure you're following if you want to see that. But one of the things that really interests me about Web3 is this whole gaming aspect and this whole tournament aspect, and I'm looking at the trailer here and I'm looking at the assets here and I'm like, oh yeah, if this is what I think it is, I'm about to be a huge fan of this game. So yeah, but I'm a little confused. So is this just on open seas or is it on? Are there any Cardano marketplaces or is just open seas for now?

Speaker 4:

Yeah. So if you go on JPEG Store and search for the Virtua Cardano Island vehicles, it's any of those cars that are on there. So not the yachts, not the helicopters, not the jets, but the actual vehicles that are in there. So I believe there's two Shelby's and there's about six other vehicles on there as well. I will say that our most hardcore of racers square by the Bungele Falcon being the fastest and the best. I personally really like driving the Shelby. One, because I'm a big Shelby fan, and two, I just like the way it drives and handles. The Bungele Falcon Definitely takes a different skill set and a bit better of a racing than I've accomplished yet, so that's why it's one of my favorites in that direction.

Speaker 2:

Cool, cool, appreciate it.

Speaker 4:

And what you see from the trailer is what you're going to see in the game. The trailers are, you know, half of them are like my races and stuff I've recorded and sent to our designers to make videos out of, and some are that other people from the team have done as well. So it's not like a trailer and you're going to get in there and it's like you know, a Roblox, pixelated something. It's actual in game footage and I think the you know we hear great things on the gameplay, the graphics. It's definitely one of those racing games that's going to keep you like kind of on the edge of your seats. It feels fast. I guess you could say you know you're taking these turns and everything else. It's not going to be just a simple turn. You might need to drift or handbrake and get your turns at the right lane and things like that so you avoid hitting a wall.

Speaker 2:

Hey, hey, I'm down. Hey, it's signed me up for the tournament. Man, I want to sign up. Whatever I got to do, just let me know.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, so that's pinned on our profile. I believe it's the pinned tweet. Actually it's just a few below. I'll add it to that pinned tweet and I will pin it up top. But the tournament mechanics are super easy. It's just basically installing the game. You create your account, select whatever team you want to race for from the profile. Now remember what you know if you place in that top 100, whatever team you choose to race for, that's going to be the vehicle you get. And then from there you'll just click on the race mode and special events tab from within the game and that tournament will kick off on Monday.

Speaker 4:

Now, to add to those prizes, the top three racers will get a custom vehicle. So we'll work with you and make a custom vehicle based on a PFP that you have, an NFT you have, or you know if you've got a company or something you want to use the branding for, we can do that. We just got to make sure you know we can't do like Nickelodeon or something that we don't have any rights to and you don't either, on a vehicle. And then an additional bonus for any of the Cardano Island vehicle holders is we will have a 4,000 ADA prize pool. So first, through 20th, the top 20 racers that have a Cardano Island vehicle in their account or in their wallet will be eligible for that prize pool, and that's going to be 4,000 ADA distributed to the top 20 racers there. So a little additional side bonus for all our Cardano holders.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I have two cars in my wallet. I was just checking and I do have them, yay.

Speaker 2:

They've been there for a long time dude.

Speaker 3:

I almost forget what I have.

Speaker 4:

That's awesome, yeah, so if you competed in the tournament next week and you're one of the top 20 racers with that Cardano vehicle, you'll be eligible for that prize pot I've got to represent Cardano for Coffee. Jenny, let's go.

Speaker 3:

Oh man, I'm probably going to put my husband to do that for me. This is my Mario Kart experience. Count for this, we'll see.

Speaker 4:

I'm a huge Mario Kart fan myself. This one I say I'm unbeatable in Mario Kart, this one I'm definitely beatable in. So it's a little bit different on the mechanics and stuff. But I'm hoping to get some of those kind of race modes added in in the future where they're more like with sabotages, and different kind of racing from like your more traditional racing that you find. Now I look at the game kind of as like a mix of like a Forza and a Gran Turismo in a way, so it's a little bit more realistic. On the realistic side we have a combination of fantasy vehicles and more known vehicles like the Shelby's, and a combination of fantasy tracks that we've created and real world tracks like the Dubai Auto Drone, for example. It was pretty cool over NFTSLV with getting to try it out, man.

Speaker 3:

You got to play it. It's not funny, like I always go to those things and I never get to play fun with it. I know, you know. Do you think you have all the time in the world for those things?

Speaker 4:

Those things go really fast, the shows go fast.

Speaker 3:

I didn't do a shirt with, like what is it Reflect? I didn't do anything. And there were a cross from us and I, like everybody was scanning and doing their, I didn't do anything. This is crazy. I just talked to people, I have fun, but I didn't play.

Speaker 4:

It was definitely a lot of fun. I did see a lot of people playing.

Speaker 3:

I did see a lot of people playing and having fun.

Speaker 4:

It was a nice couch. You get to hang out and chat for a little bit and get a little swag and stuff like that, and just hanging out with Travis at school too.

Speaker 3:

Shout out to Travis man, he did that himself, Like he put that thing together. You did a good job sitting that up like a living room it felt really it was pretty cool.

Speaker 4:

A little behind the scenes knowledge. I had to carry that stuff like a mile in there because I've got, I've got a or not me, but we've got a like storage unit in Vegas where we keep a lot of our stuff, like couches, we got TVs, we've got, you know, different marketing stuff, displays, giveaways, all kinds of stuff there for the different conferences in Vegas, and, yeah, they made me go through like a door. That was like I'm not exaggerating, it was probably 300 yard walk from the conference hall where you had to come in like from the bat. Well, I guess it's technically the front but the back compared to where most of us come in through the hotel. So it was.

Speaker 4:

I was beat, to say the least, after carrying all those couches and TVs. No idea, man, it's awesome. Hey, I'll let you know next time we need stuff moved, since you got experience there. Yeah, I'm for hire. I'll be charging like high end dev rates for labor though. So here we go. It looks like $300 an hour and anything over like an hour goes into overtime kind of rate, and right by the minute. You know I mean. So, whatever, you've provided the minutes and, by the way, this is pretty cool.

Speaker 3:

So for anyone who's interested, I guess to join that the whole what is it Not? Competition Tournament. Thank you, yes, it's happening, so go check it out it's. You can probably end up driving away with a tapi car. That cannot even. I really want that tapi vehicle. I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to try. You're making me foam over now I mean, seriously, come on, that's like, that's like and if you're speaking collectibles, for me that's like, that's a big, big big thing, that's something I would want to have in my wallet.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I mean it's, you know, not just a collectible or something to keep your wall, but something you can use to race with, you know, into the future, and you know upgrade with different tires or spoilers or whatever that may be, and uses, like you know, your everyday racer with a nitro.

Speaker 3:

I like the more cute things and cool things, so definitely I want it.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, they turn out really good. And you know, beyond the tournaments and what we're doing right now, we've got a whole lore of seven civilizations. You know each civilization kind of has a different theme or style vehicle, a different way they race, things like that. That'll be incorporated with our story and kind of campaign mode here over the next months and the rest of this year will be constantly kind of adding, improving and putting new features in.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I see that. I see the banner she have there on them, you know, like for the different leagues kind of thing, right, so do you get to pick those, or how does that work?

Speaker 4:

with the civilizations. So that'll come in with the story mode and with our campaign mode and a lot more will be revealed there. But some of these vehicles are, you know, kind of the vehicles for these different civilizations. So you see different vehicle kind of body types, vehicle styles. Some of the vehicles don't even have tires. They kind of glide or hover and each of those kind of civilizations and planets race a different style vehicle in a different way. And one of the kind of additional strategy things that is coming with Nitro is different assets and upgrades performed differently on different areas. So you know, a set of tires you have may be like a banger on an asphalt track, but they could be like a dog on a snow track or a desert track. And then a tire or a spoiler or something that's, you know, great on concrete could be terrible on asphalt. So there's going to be some strategy in that regard as well. Your favorite vehicle may not be your best vehicle on every track, so it'll be-.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I see the Korora. It looks like it flies. Is that what happens there with a Korora?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, it kind of hovers and like with something like the Korora you can't add or upgrade tires because it doesn't have tires. So if you've got a set of tires, you're not going to be able to put them on the Korora, but you can put them on a Shelby or something of the sort or one of those other vehicles. If a vehicle doesn't have a spoiler, you're not going to be able to like change the spoiler on it and those kinds of things.

Speaker 3:

Sweet, this is awesome. Travis, thanks so much for coming up here and like sharing this with us and having the community you know be up to date with the new developments in Nitro League, so I wish you all the best, my friend. I see you cooking, doing all this awesome stuff with your teams, and nothing but the best to you, my friend. Anything you want to you know any last words here. Just call to action before we moved into the next segment, and here friend Kyle shares some cybersecurity tips.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, definitely. So I would say, follow the Nitro page. We've got all the sort of stuff going there. All of our announcements and updates and stuff will be going out through there. We also have a Discord that you can jump in at any time. Any questions or anything like that.

Speaker 4:

The tournament next week from the 22nd to the 28th, 24 hours a day. You can play anytime With that ADA prize. You know the first place will be 1,000 ADA, second 800, third 550 and so on. So you know it's going to be a decent little grip with that, on top of the vehicles and stuff you can get. But it's. You know, if you've got some vehicles in your wallet or if you're looking for a game, that you can start using some of your Cardano assets for, check out Nitro because it is playable right now and we've got a lot of people that play it. We've got a lot of people whose kids love the game. So you know, even if you're not familiar with Web3, you can get in there and have a great time with it for your children or family members or gamer friends that you have that may not necessarily be into NFTs.
