Scary Movie and a Sandwich
A show about comfort foods and scary stuff with host Artem Yatsunov. Each episode we pair a perfect sandwich with a carefully curated horror movie, and we discuss, digest and dive deep into what the movie and the sandwich are really about. A love letter to the two best genres of food and film.

“What's the point of art if nobody sees it?” It’s the FINE ART episode, dear scaries! This week we’ve paired the perfectly pretentious art-world-satire Velvet Buzzsaw (2019) with The Favolosa aka the Favorite sandwich from All’Antico Vinaio.
With us in the scary studio is Rachel Berkowitz - a spectacular visual artist on the rise! Rachel creates surreal and soulful dreamscapes that pulse with rich emotional resonance. Her work is spellbinding and soothing, provocative and embracing, radical and rapturous. Rachel’s paintings have been presented by galleries worldwide, and recently the PRINCE OF MONACO - yes, the actual, literal Prince - added one of Rachel’s pieces to the esteemed Monaco Royal Collection! Can you even?? Rachel and I dive deep into the high-stakes world of fine-art and mostly avoid getting murdered by killer art as we discuss the artist’s struggle to share their authentic voice and the tragedy of artists with bad taste.
Nothing pairs better with an eye-opening chat about all things art than All’Antico Vinaio’s The Favolosa because this sandwich is a work of art. La Favolosa is a culinary masterpiece! Savory, creamy, rich, featuring a perfect focaccia and the most mesmeric application of spiced eggplant. Bella! Buono fortuna! We completely understand now why this one translates to “the Favorite”. We are so grateful for this truly one-of-a-kind, grand and opulent sandwich - thank you, All’Antico Vinaio!
