Restoration: Where New Life Begins

The Feasts--Trumpets

John Baldwin Season 3 Episode 15

In this episode, we explored the powerful and prophetic Feast of Trumpets—known in Hebrew as Yom Teruah, which means “day of shouting” or “blasting.” This feast launches the High Holy Days in the Jewish calendar and is filled with awe, anticipation, and spiritual urgency.

We began in Leviticus 23, where God commands His people to observe this feast with a day of rest and "memorial proclaimed with the blast of trumpets". This wasn’t just noise—it was a divine alarm clock calling Israel to awaken from spiritual slumber.

We then looked ahead to the New Testament fulfillment, where Paul connects the sound of the trumpet with Christ’s return in 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18:

"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God..."

In Revelation 11:15, the seventh trumpet declares, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ.” The Feast of Trumpets is a prophetic picture of the rapture, the return of Christ, and the coronation of the true King.
