Restoration: Where New Life Begins

Spiritual Warfare--Knowing Your Enemy

Season 3 Episode 28

Episode 2 — Knowing Your Enemy
Scripture: John 8:44; 1 Peter 5:8

Every believer is in a spiritual battle, but to fight effectively, we must know who our enemy is and how he works. In this episode, we dive into what Scripture reveals about Satan. Jesus describes him as “a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44), and Peter warns us that he prowls around “like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Satan’s primary weapons are deception, accusation, and temptation, and his goal is to distort truth, divide God’s people, and destroy faith.

We will uncover how he twists God’s Word, how he blinds hearts to the gospel, and how he subtly works to pull us away from wholehearted devotion to Christ. But we won’t stop there—we’ll also see how God equips us to resist him. Knowing the enemy reminds us that we are not powerless. Through Christ’s victory at the cross, believers are given the armor of God, the truth of His Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit to stand firm.

This is not about glorifying the adversary, but about shining light on his schemes so that we can live alert, watchful, and victorious lives in Christ.
