Our deepest problem cannot be solved by changing our circumstances, improving our habits, or trying harder. We do not merely need better behavior—we need new hearts.
In Ezekiel 36, God promises:
“I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you.” — Ezekiel 36:26
God does not simply polish the heart of stone. He removes it. He cleanses us, gives us a living and responsive heart, and places His Spirit within us. Obedience is not the cause of this transformation; it is the result of God’s grace at work within us.
