Daniel saw kingdoms rise, rulers boast, and terrifying powers dominate the earth—but then he looked toward heaven and saw something greater:
The Ancient of Days was still on His throne.
Daniel 7 reminds us that earthly kingdoms are temporary, but the Kingdom of Jesus Christ is eternal.
Daniel saw “one like a son of man” coming with the clouds of heaven, receiving dominion, glory, and a Kingdom that would never be destroyed. Centuries later, Jesus identified Himself as that Son of Man.
That means history is not spiraling toward chaos.
History is moving toward the final and complete reign of Jesus Christ.
Governments will change.
Nations will rise and fall.
Leaders will come and go.
Cultures will shift.
But Jesus remains King.
Our ultimate hope cannot rest in a nation, political party, leader, or earthly system. Our allegiance belongs first and forever to Christ.
So when the world feels unstable, remember:
The throne has not moved.
God has not lost control.
Christ has not surrendered His Kingdom.
And evil will not have the final word.
Earthly powers will fall.
The Son of Man will reign forever.
