The enemy does not always need to destroy your life with something obviously evil. Sometimes he only needs to quietly weaken you.
He uses division to separate you from the people God has placed around you.
He uses discouragement to convince you that nothing is changing and there is no reason to keep fighting.
And he uses distraction to fill your life with so much noise that you lose sight of what matters most.
One of the central truths from Episode 4:
The enemy does not always need to fill our lives with evil if he can simply fill them with noise.
You can be busy without being spiritually healthy.
You can be productive while neglecting your soul.
You can have access to more biblical truth than ever before and still give God very little of your attention.
Hebrews 12:1–2 tells us to lay aside not only sin, but also every weight that slows us down, and to run the race “looking to Jesus.”
So don’t just ask, “Is this sinful?”
Ask:
Is this helping me run?
Is this drawing me closer to Christ?
Is this strengthening my marriage and family?
Is this helping me fulfill what God has called me to do?
The enemy’s six strategies:
Deception.
Temptation.
Accusation.
Division.
Discouragement.
Distraction.
Know the playbook. Stay in the Word. Stay close to Christ. Guard your relationships. Guard your mind. Guard your attention.
And ask yourself:
Which strategy is being used most effectively against you right now?
