Show Notes

Today's episode is a holiday gift from the three un-wise men of This Day in Sports. No frankincense  or myrrh here - but plenty of gold! Icons like Bill Russell, Brett Hull, Zinedine Zidane and Brett Favre all have some of their finer moments discussed and dissected, plus we touch on great stories you probably didn't know about Tony Cavelli - the Boston Celtics player who did half-time shows or when the Arizona Cardinals ruined one of the best seasons they ever had. On top of all that, we're joined by Sportsnet anchor and best-selling author Ken Reid ("Hockey's Home Town Heroes",  "Hockey Card Stories"). Kenny is an all-time great, funny guy and an exceptionally knowledgeable hockey fan who assesses our DORK DRAFT where we each drafted a starting lineup from the absolutely loaded 1990 NHL Draft. The conversation is fun and the hockey talk is next level, but the diversions about great Canadian bands like April Wine and Sloan are worth the price of admission. Especially when the price is free.  Watch it on YouTube, listen wherever you get your podcasts and follow us on Instagram  @Thisdayinsports8. Happy holidays to everyone out there.
