The Power of Transformation

The transformations that you have had in your life , and hopefully also in your business , obviously are the reason where you're at today , and I think it's important to remember that , as someone who is a business owner , as someone who is a CEO , entrepreneur , whatever you , what term you like to use there's always going to be evolution happening right . And so I think what we see is that sometimes we feel stuck , sometimes we feel like we plateau , sometimes we feel all these things and it just means that it's probably time for our next transformation . Here's the thing that I know Not one of my transformations has come from me not doing anything . None of my transformations have not been painful , none of my transformations have been comfortable , right . So I think we get to remember these things when it comes to making a transformation . And here's the thing it's always uncomfortable at first and there's learning lessons involved , and I don't believe that transformations happen overnight , but I believe that the start of a transformation like if you've heard my story about the podcast that changed my life , i mean that decision in that moment was very transformational , because it was a decision that right now , in this moment , i am declaring in the middle of June that I am going to do 365 days of uncomfortable actions . Now , that is great and all , but if I don't back it up with action , it means nothing , right ? So what did I do ? I think that was June 17th . On June 18th , boom , i'm doing something . Actually , i think I did something uncomfortable that day , just declaring it , and then the next day was like boom , and then every day there was an uncomfortable action . Nothing , no transformation , rather , that I've ever went through has happened , has happened without risk . Right There , there is always this risk that I transform , i change , i do the work , but I don't get anything out of it , right ?

And I think I had to really just change my mindset and change how I , how I felt about transformation . And I realized that there was nothing I ever wanted out of the transformation , but to be a better version of myself . And I realized that every growth and every I don't even want to call it level because I don't want to position hierarchy here , but like it's a next level of me , right . It doesn't mean that the level , the level of me that I'm at , is better than anybody else by any means . It just means I'm better than I was right , because I'm not comparing myself to anybody else . I'm comparing myself to me , to the past version of me , to yesterday , to a month ago , two years ago , to five years ago , right . So it's like how can you push yourself , or are you willing to push yourself and transform your life ? do the hard things , become a better person , become a better version of you . Not that there's anything wrong with you now , and I want you to also know that too , but I know as myself there's always work to do .

For example , the old me had a major problem with comparison , like I compared everything I did to everyone else and I had to stop it . It was not serving me , it was not making me a bit better leader , it was not doing any of those things for me . So as long as I kept allowing it to happen , it was another . It was something I was focusing on , or I would tell myself I can't do this , i have to avoid it . So avoidance is also focused , right , because I'm trying to avoid that thing . So it was really something I just had to stop not focusing on specifically . I had to work through it , because just trying to ignore it and pretend like it wasn't there wasn't working , and so I had to do the deep work ? how do I not compare myself ? how do I not think that I should be further than I am ? how do I be content with I'm ? you know I'm right where I'm meant to be and that if I feel like I'm a late bloomer , it's okay because I'm where I'm meant to be .

The time frame that it took me to get where I am was my journey . I'm a little more hard-headed than some people and so it takes me a little longer sometimes , right , but I learn all the wrong things first and then I'm like okay , now , here we go . So I think we get to remember that , like so , yes , there are things that we don't like about ourselves , or things we try to run away from , or things that we know we could work on . You know , i don't need to tell you , like you know , the things that you need to work on , the things that you wish that you could deal with a little bit better , and I think that was just like some of the biggest things that I knew , which all came from emotional intelligence .

I saw a post I don't know it was like a couple days ago on LinkedIn and Gary V said the number one skill that he wished he could give everyone would be emotional intelligence . And I'm like , yes , i didn't even know what emotional intelligence was four years ago , like I had no idea . I never heard the word before . So how can I work on something ? I mean , i'd heard mindset , i'd heard positivity , so , yes , i worked on those things . But it's so much more than mindset and being positive . Right , it's so much more than that .

And you know , then I started hearing words like inner work and the unsexy work , and I'm like in trauma and all these things , and I'm like I've got a lot to work on , i got a lot to do . And so every transformation , i think , starts with pulling back a layer . You know , if we go back to video , right , me getting out of video , i had to pull back some vulnerability . I had to pull back some layers so that I could get on video . Because it was very hard for me , like I'm telling you , like moments I felt like I couldn't breathe , like the thought of getting on video like hyperventilating , like really feeling like very anxious , feeling my heartbeat really fast , feeling like I'm going to vomit , like to now , it's very exhilarating to me , but I can also get myself right back in the same place I was if I don't do it , and then I have to talk myself into it again and I have to go through all the same things .

Embracing Transformation and Growth

So it's just one of those things that we've been talking about momentum a lot , and it's like when I get the momentum , i keep the momentum And I keep doing the work and I keep discovering things about myself and I keep seeing mirrors of other people or myself and other people And I'm like , oh , like , i get to , you know , work on that . I get to work on this , i get to be better about this . This is , you know , something . I can , you know , work on a little bit deeper and ask myself the tougher questions . But I just saying that , and I think this was the thing I used to think . I'm positive . I read personal development 10 minutes a day . I'm good .

And when I finally realized that transformation , when I realized that I'm not just good posting static content , when I realized all these things , that I can grow by pushing myself , i can grow by getting vulnerable , i can grow by doing uncomfortable things That's where all my transformations come from , whether it was a transformation to getting on video , whether it's transformation of being better at sales , being better at launching , being better at offering multiple things at the same time , whether it is being a better teacher , being a better leader , all those things . The transformations have been nonstop . But if I decide to stop or pause and that I don't want you know to do the hard work , i don't want to do the uncomfortable things . They could pause , they could stop , i could get stagnant , i could feel stuck , but I know the growth that happens And it's almost like this .

This is the best way I can explain transformations , evolutions that you have . It's that I've never bungee jumped , but there is this euphoric feeling . Right , i'm assuming you bungee jumped . I fell in my dreams before , so I felt that . But I feel like every transformation I have has been just the same . It's like I did the scary thing , i did the uncomfortable thing and then I moved And then I did it again And I did it again And I felt so giddy and this sense of accomplishment and so many different things in the process , on the journey to that transformation . So a lot of times we dread things , we think they're so bad . But imagine evolving , imagine transforming , imagine having this enlightenment because you sat with yourself and you asked yourself the hard questions . There is nothing like this , my friend , and I cannot wait to hear all the transformations that you've experienced in your life .
