Five reasons to challenge yourself . I'm just gonna say that there are a lot more . But when we challenge ourselves and we play bigger , there are some results and some things that we're gonna see right . Obviously , as a business owner , as a CEO , as an entrepreneur , then we wanna see money , we wanna see revenue , we wanna see our bottom line effected , but there are so many other things that yes , i'm gonna say this are way more important than that , and you should be so grateful and thankful that these things can happen for you , because I believe that this has gotten me where I am at .

I believe that when we push ourselves , when we challenge ourselves , we can create a lot of excitement , we can create a lot of engagement , we can create a lot of community , because our audience is seeing us more right , they're seeing us in a different light , they're seeing us get vulnerable , they're seeing us challenge ourselves . But the number one thing that I love about challenging myself is the growth , and I believe the quote if we aren't growing , we are dying , and we grow most when we're challenging ourselves . I used to say that video changed my life , and I had to change that statement because video actually changed my business , not my life , the decision to get uncomfortable and do something scary meaning AKA challenging myself right . That is what truly changed my life And it gave me the I wanna say it gave me the courage to do it even more right And to find other places where I could stretch myself as a human being , as a business owner , as all of those things right . The second thing that I love about challenging myself is I always create momentum A lot of times in business , and I remember when this one year , i wanted my word of the year to be momentum And the reason I won the word of the year to be momentum was because I wanted to keep the revenue up . That's what I was thinking , right , but we forget that momentum actually starts with us . We create the momentum that gets the results . Yes , it starts with us . It's how am I gonna create momentum today ? right , and I can do that by challenging myself . It's hard to be consistent and create momentum when you're not getting instant gratification results . So am I going to move ? Am I gonna keep moving even when I don't feel like it's working ? That's a huge thing to challenge yourself with , right . So the question is are you deciding to move ? Are you deciding to create the momentum in the first place .

The third thing that I love about challenging myself is that we absolutely find out what we're made of . We can astound ourselves . We find out what we're capable of , like we blow our own freaking minds . That quote like if we did the things we were actually capable of , we would astound ourselves or blow our minds or whatever it is . But I love that quote , right , if we just push ourselves a little bit , we would be amazed at what was possible that we could do .

Another reason to challenge yourself is because I don't think we realize how much fulfillment you get from challenging yourself . When we challenge ourselves , we're gonna have more belief in ourselves , right . We're gonna have more capability and we're gonna become more creative and create more certainty and then feel fulfilled . And When you have passion and purpose , fulfillment is just going to happen . And you're creating , you know , this challenging environment and you're pushing yourself and you're not settling . What is it ? Taylor Swift's quote ? I have the fear . I have a fear of being average right , like you're not gonna be average . You're gonna be up there in the top percent right of people who are not satisfied necessarily with Not that you want more that , but you just you strive for more . You strive to challenge yourself . You believe that there's something more for you , what your meant for more .

The Benefits of Challenging Yourself

And then the fifth thing that I believe we all get from challenging ourselves is confidence . So many people want to create confidence and they forget that confidence doesn't just show up when we're just hanging out right . Confidence comes from doing uncomfortable things and being our word to ourself , which is one of the hardest things to do like do what you say you're gonna do for yourself and others . And Confidence can support us so strongly in that , when we challenge ourselves , confidence is an amazing , beautiful byproduct . Are you willing to take the scary thing ? challenge yourself , be courageous , do it anyhow and reap the rewards , being confidence Now , sure , these are five things that I believe that you get from challenging yourself , but can other things happen ? Yes , can . Can our bottom line be affected ? Absolutely , it's a byproduct , right , can we increase our money ? Yes , it's byproduct . Can we increase the amount of people in our programs ? Yes , absolutely , it's a byproduct . I believe all those things are a byproduct , but it starts with us going first , right , being the evidence and saying I'm gonna do this . I , i Built my business by challenge after challenge after challenge . No one understood the challenges I was doing . Now This is before .

I encourage people to do challenges with me , like when I did a hundred lives in July of 2020 . Literally , people thought I was crazy . No one understood Why would you do this ? What's the purpose here , chrissy ? And then , after I was done , someone said I didn't think you would . You would do it and it wasn't to be malicious or anything like that .

I think a lot of times people see You know the thing we're striving to do and what they're capable of doing . Yeah , there were some days I didn't know if I was gonna do it either , and they've had so many friends who have tried to do it and you know a Couple have succeeded but they told me I don't know how you did this . I literally don't know how you did this . I I Not only did a hundred lives in July and also 200 lives in July .

I don't really like talk about that one , because I was really painful , but I gave myself all these rules like you can't cheat . You can't like go live using stream yard on multiple platforms at the same time . You have to go live on each platform individually and that counts as one . And It was just insane and I didn't get myself weakens off , i didn't get myself any break like I . I mean , if I challenged myself now I know I would totally like okay , which I am kind of challenging myself now . I guess I should rephrase that . Let me rephrase that I'm challenging myself right now to do two lives every single day . It doesn't matter what platforms , and I didn't say don't use StreamYard . I think one day I did use StreamYard and go live two places , but other than that , i go live twice a day . It can be on any platform , and it's Monday through Friday And then one Friday . I missed it . So I did two lives on Saturday morning before 7.30 am . Right , because I am a stickler when it comes to my challenges .

Nobody is keeping track of my challenge . No one is paying attention to my challenges . No one paid attention . Like no one was like oh , let me be the auditor of your 100 Lives in July or your 200 Lives in July or your 100 are comfortable actions . Nobody was doing that . However , i also believe when you challenge yourself and you're doing it by yourself , you have to have a lot of integrity , because it's like what would you be doing if nobody's watching ? Nobody's watching or paying attention . They're paying attention , maybe , to my lives . They're not paying attention to the check marks I'm giving myself And if I do what I say , i'm going to do right . That's just me , and I think that's another strong point to make . Nobody is keeping track of this but me , and am I willing to push forward , to keep going when nobody's keeping track , when nobody really knows the truth ? Yes , to me it's important .

When I did , i wasn't planning on going here , but when I did , the 200 Lives in July , which was like the death of me , was so hard . Well , if you divide if you divide 200 Lives divided by 31 , you're around six videos . Right , get retake six videos a day . However , you get a couple days in there and you only do four videos a day , and then you get a day you don't feel like doing any video . Right , and before you know it , you're up to eight videos a day , and then by the end of the month you're up to 10 videos a day . That was hard . I could have easily cheated right And checked off and said I did , i'm nobody's going to know , you didn't .

Who are you when no one's watching ? Are you still challenging yourself ? And this can be in a group setting . It could be all by yourself , but the challenging times are what make us , and I believe that if I challenge myself enough , that when the hard things that I don't really have control over happen , i'm going to be able to handle them better , because I know what it's like to be stretched , i know what it's like to be pushed , i know what it's like when it's hard , i know what it's like when I want to quit .
