There is this beautiful thing about our comfort zone, and if you've ever heard my story, if you've ever heard me talk about my past like I was obsessed and in love with my comfort zone, meaning that I really didn't have a desire to ever push outside of it. I liked feeling warm and safe and cozy, and never feeling like my heart rate was increasing or that my pits were sweating or that anything was ever going to make me a nervous wreck. So that's where I like to stay and I like to play in my comfort zone, and the funny thing was is that I learned a long time ago that we can push ourselves and challenge ourselves now, or like an and be easy now, easy now or we can do it like be put in situations later. And that really resonated with me, because I used to say that video changed my life, and I had to retract that statement because video did change my business. Getting uncomfortable changed my life. Being able and willing to push myself outside of my comfort zone was one of the biggest blessings that I've ever given myself, and so I think it's really interesting that every day, i choose to push myself a little bit more to do one more thing, to do the harder thing right, i become a different person the next day because, whatever I pushed my comfort zone today, where, however far I pushed it, however far I stretched it, i'm able to do something more tomorrow, and so, how I look today, i'm going to be a different person tomorrow, i'm going to be more resilient. Tomorrow I'm going to be able to take on bigger challenges tomorrow. And if I do that every day, if I did that once a week, let's be honest, right, that's a huge thing.
Speaker 1Most people are afraid of doing this right. We're afraid to push ourselves, but nothing ever exciting and magical happens inside your comfort zone. I challenged our challengers today. Well, i list all the challenges. The will of names picks them. They're so random to go put out an offer Like. Go put out an offer like for one person or for 24 hours, like some kind of limit to it, unless you see what happens. People are buying their offers, people are buying their offers And if they don't buy their offers, it doesn't matter. The point is to get uncomfortable and to challenge yourself and put yourself out there. But the fact that some people are already buying their offers is huge. Putting yourself out there is vulnerable. It's uncomfortable Putting an offer out there that nobody may buy is vulnerable and uncomfortable. But the more we can do that, the more resilient we're going to be. The more we can do that, the more we're able to do more right, the more we can stand in our personal power and not worry about instant gratification and results. the more magical things are going to be, the more things that are going to happen for you. It's just this beautiful paradigm of all that is possible if and when we choose to get uncomfortable.
Speaker 1When I started getting uncomfortable, i did a whole year of uncomfortable actions after listening to a podcast that I always say changed my life. Nothing new was ever said in that podcast, by the way. It was things that I had heard all the time. This is why I tell my students, i tell my clients repeat yourself all the time. But it landed in that moment And it was really important for me.
Speaker 1And on this podcast, rob Diles suggested you go on a year journey of doing uncomfortable things every single day. And so every single day, i pushed myself to get uncomfortable, every single freaking day. That's hard sometimes, and sometimes it was a cold shower, and sometimes it was lifting a heavier weight, and sometimes it was pushing myself to walk further, and sometimes it was just doing stuff I really didn't want to do and I'd been avoiding. Did I ever regret any of those uncomfortable actions? No, it's just like the saying you never feel like working out, but you work out for five minutes and you're in it and you feel good. You never regret a workout, right? It's the same thing when you push yourself. You never regret pushing yourself. You will regret, however, not taking chances and not taking risks and not growing. Those are the things you'll regret later. So I choose to push myself every day, every day.
Speaker 1How far can I go today? How far can I push myself today? Yeah, i love my comfort zone. Don't get me wrong. It's safe and comfortable there. I still feel that way. However, i want to grow and I want to go to whatever. My next level is right. And the next thing for me I've got to push through it. You don't go to the gym and pick up the two pound weight every single time and see results After a year. You're not going to see any results, right? So why wouldn't we push our minds? Why wouldn't we push our bodies? Why wouldn't we push our vulnerability? Why wouldn't we push the content that we put out. Why would we not push ourselves just a little bit more?
Speaker 1I challenge you, whether you're in my challenge or not, i challenge you to find a way to get outside of your comfort zone. And maybe we start at one time a week. Chrissy, i'm committing, i'm going to push myself outside my comfort zone one time a week And then we do that for a month, and then the next month we're like okay, i've got this, i'm going to do it twice a month or twice a week, and then we've got eight times a week, and then you go three times a week And before you know it, you're going to be get out of my comfort zone, junkie right, and you're going to be pushing yourself to like, literally keep pushing yourself. More uncomfortable challenges that you give yourself breeds more uncomfortable challenges, which breeds more vulnerability, which breeds so much more when it comes to your business. You didn't leave a nine to five or start a business because it was easy. You took a risk. So why are we taking more? Why are we pushing ourselves more?
Speaker 1It is always in your control, my friend. It is always your choice. The choices I've made up until today are the reason I'm wearing that. The choices I make today are going to be the reasons why I'm at where, the reasons why I'm where I'm at tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next day. I choose uncomfortable now so that I can live a much more comfortable life moving forward, and even if it isn't comfortable and I'm living in my comfort zone, the things that get thrown at me that I'm not prepared for do not set me back the way that they used to, because I challenge myself every single day. The question is are you willing to do this for you? Are you willing to do this for your families? Are you willing to do this for your? why? Are you willing to do this for your business? Do you accept my challenge?
