2023 Reflections and Preparing for 2024

Sometimes I start recording a podcast episode and I don't exactly know where it's going to go , but here are the things I know . Welcome to 2024 . We are here , my friend . Welcome to the 10th season of this podcast episode . Every quarter is a new season and we are in the 10th season and episode 478 . Like it is insane 478 podcast episodes . It's insane that I've made it this far and it's insane that I've been as consistent . We did go down to three days a week in the fall , but I just felt called to do that .

And I want to say this I'm seeing so many people like be so glad that 2023 is over and they're ready for 2024 and they don't want to revisit , you know , whatever happened in 2023 . And I think that sometimes we forget , even though maybe things didn't happen the way we wanted , and even though maybe some really sad and terrible things happened to you or the world and all of these things that are going on , obviously in 2023 . There is this thing also called perspective , and it's also did I learn something in 2023 ? Did I learn something valuable that I'm taking into 2024 ? That is going to be a game changer for me . I'll never forget I was in a coaching container .

I met this coach Actually , we were in the same mastermind together and she had a mini mind and I was like I really want to join this . I just love her content . I just love how real , raw she is and we were talking about content and triggering and activated people and all these things . And one of the things she said I thought this is very profound is , she said never try to rob somebody from their rock bottom . And initially when she said this , I was very like , oh my gosh , if I could ever prevent somebody from hitting their rock bottom . Of course I'm going to prevent that from happening because I've been rock bottom a lot . And then I started thinking about all of the beautiful things that came out of my rock bottoms .

I know how to make money Like magical money , like I realized that when you truly hit rock bottom me September 2000 or , sorry , september 2020 , I realized how I could turn it around . I was done , I was ready to quit , I was ready to give up . I know how to make money from that rock bottom . I am resilient from that rock bottom . I am strong and powerful from that rock bottom . I know how to attract my ideal person . I know deep down in my soul and in my heart that I can always do more than I'm doing , and I also know that I can always just do one more thing . One more thing Can you do ? One more ? One more minute , one more podcast episode , one more video , one more real , one more engagement . You can always do just one more thing and I think , when it comes to looking back on a year versus all the things that happened , right , because we know life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it .

How did I react to the things that happened in 2023 ? How did it grow ? Did I get from January 1st 2023 to December 31st 2023 ? Did I change ? Did I grow or was I the same person ? That is the most beautiful thing that growth , knowing that you come out the end of the year a different person . Thank you

Some of those could be from horrible circumstances , right , and things that happened . However , we get to look at it in the perspective that we get to look at it at , and it's like what are you gonna choose in this moment ? We're in 2024 . It's day one . Where do I want to be on December 31st 2024 ? How do I want to feel ? What do I want to have accomplished and what are the obstacles that can come in my way ? It's like this SWOT analysis , right , like so when you do SWOT analysis , it's the strengths . What strengths do I have that are gonna get me there ? What weaknesses do I have that could make it harder for me to get there ? What opportunities do I have , like , do I have mentorship ? Do I have support ? Do I have knowledge ? What do I have ? What are the opportunities I have that can get me there ? And also what are the threats ? And really sit with that and think about that today what are your strengths , what are your weaknesses ? And can we focus so much on the strengths that we don't pull down our strengths because sometimes we think , oh my gosh , I'm so weak in this area , I need to focus on this , and so then we stop playing in our strengths because we're too busy trying to focus and fix our weaknesses . But the same opportunity like what are the opportunities ? Am I taking advantage of them ? And understanding that there are threats ? Typically the threat is us and what am I gonna do about it ?

I believe it is so important for us to have goals and I'm saying this from someone who decided one whole year not to set goals , because she felt like when she didn't reach her goal , she was in lack and she only wanted to stay in abundance . But we forget that the journey is the most important thing . The day in , day out of 2024 is what is really important . Having a goal is also important . Whether you actually reach that goal or not isn't the journey , it's the steps , the daily steps , the daily actions that you're going to take to get there . And how can I make them like integrated and as part of my life ? How can I enjoy the process ? How can I versus trying to check off a box and say I'm done with this really be all in ? Whenever we say all in , we all have a very different version and a very different idea of all in , but I think we can all agree that all in the journey , that success right there , all in on the aligned , inspired actions , that success right there , knowing that there is this beautiful trajectory journey that is coming for us in 2024 .

I'm not saying there are going to be , there aren't going to be hard days , because there will be , but how long you choose to react about those hard days , that's up to you . How much joy can you have in 2024 ? How much gratitude can you have in 2024 ? How much love can you share and spread around in 2024 ? How much forgiveness can you give in 2024 ? Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% what happens to or how we react to it . How can you react differently ? How can you use ? Is this a big inconvenience or is it the end of the world ? Is this factor feeling Like ? How can you use those questions to keep you on the right path ? How can you stand in your personal power , knowing that you validate yourself , knowing that you are the only proof that you need ?

So many people give up way too soon . Back in that 2020 story , I was about to give up On September 3rd . I only saw $2,000 coming in that month and by September 30th I had called in $13,000 . But I almost gave up . It's like the story I don't know the names , but I think it's in the Think and Grow Rich book how the guy was digging for gold and he was like millimeters away when he finally decided to sell everything off .

We give up too early . I'm not saying it's easy . I'm not saying there are times that I don't want to give up . If you are a true entrepreneur , ceo , you may want to give up , like once a week , couple times a month , but the reason you don't give up is because you want it that bad . You believe in yourself and your audience and the people that you want to serve and support and change their lives that bad you believe . You have so much faith , you're resilient , you're strong and powerful and maybe the evidence that you want for yourself and your business hasn't shown up yet , I believe yet Maybe there's some things you get to tweak . Maybe there's some conviction that you get to add into your content . Maybe there's some conversations you get to have with your audience members . Maybe there's some vulnerability you get to add into those videos .

I believe that the more we stand in our power , the more that we believe that we are the evidence , the more that we validate ourselves , the more that we show up with purpose and potency and activating our audience , the more success that we're going to have in 2024 . It all starts with you . Momentum starts with you . Consistent , aligned actions start with you . How are you willing , how much are you willing , to create those aligned , consistent actions so that you can start creating momentum , so that momentum comes back to you in the

Sometimes we look out and we're like it's never going to happen and , honestly , when I look back in September of 2020 , I thought that the thing is , I was so close to rock bottom I didn't have time to sit in it . I didn't have time to be a victim . I didn't have time to feel sorry for myself . I knew what I wanted and I got to figure out a way to get it . And I know this is the first episode of 2024 , but , no matter when you're listening to this , you actually don't need a Monday . You don't need a new year , you don't need a new month . Start on a Saturday . I changed the trajectory of my business on a September day over a three-week period , but the split-second decision that I had in that moment is what changed everything . What split-second decision are you making today ? And , if there's too many things going on , re-listen to this episode on Wednesday . Whenever you need to reconnect with some motivation , with personal power , with setting yourself up for success , re-listen . You don't need a new year , but you have one . You don't need a Monday , but you have one . You don't need a new month , but you have one . How can you set yourself up for success ? How can you shift identities so that when , what is Quitter's Day , the 11th or 14th of January , when most people give up Two weeks , do we seriously give up in two weeks ?

What ? No , I'm not allowing you to give up in two weeks . I'm not allowing you to give up in four weeks . Yes , I know , technically I can't stop you . However , I'm telling you that's not okay . It's too soon . Well , chrissy , I've been at this for two years . It's too soon . I saw the majority of my success four years in . Yeah , four years , four years . What if I were to give up ? I had some decent success before then , but nothing like I did four years in . Most people quit before that . Are you going to quit ? Are you going to give up ? Are you going to stand in your personal power , knowing that what you have to offer is life-changing , even if it's a ripple effect . Life-changing ? You know your audience needs you .

Someone out there is looking for you in your situation . You and your experiences , you and the way you say things , you and the breakdowns and breakthroughs that you've had , you and the failures and the face plants and the comebacks that you've had . They're looking for you . You just haven't come across our feet yet . They just haven't seen you yet .

So many times we think that we are waiting on the cell . But what if we shifted that perspective and agreed that , no , I'm showing up because my person is waiting on me . My future raving fan is waiting on me . Stand in your personal power , stand in your belief , stand in your certainty , stand in your evidence . You have gotten here and you are the person that you are . Because of the things that you have gone through , you are your evidence . Continue to own that . Continue to go through each day without checking a box . Go through each day with a journey and a love and a passion for what you do .

And yes , there are going to be days that you feel like , ugh , I'm just checking a box , I don't want to do this . Come back and listen to this again , reconnect with it again . Why am I doing this again ? What would happen if I stopped doing this ? What would happen if I did just one more thing ? What would happen if I went a little harder ?

You get to answer those questions , my friend , but I am here cheering you on in this beautiful new year of 2024 and I cannot wait to watch you soar . I cannot wait to watch you fly , and I'm here when the breakdowns happen . I'm here when the face plants happen . I'm here when you feel like you've hit rock bottom . The great thing is rock bottom . The only place to go is up .

So , no matter what your 2023 look like , it doesn't have to set the precedence for your 2024 . You get to decide right now , in this moment , what it's going to look like . Every day , you get that decision . You get to make that decision . If the day before sucked , okay , what are you going to do differently today that you didn't do yesterday ? Are you going to show up or are you going to give up ? I'm sending you so much love , so much joy , so much opportunity to truly live your life in 2024 , putting you first , not your business . You Go into 2024 with so much conviction and so much joy and I believe beautiful , amazing things are going to happen . You are the evidence .
