Hello everyone and welcome to this week's episode of the Live your Extraordinary Life podcast. I'm your host, michelle Rios, and today I wanna invite you to consider something that could completely transform your daily life experience. How would your life improve if your default question wasn't what if it doesn't work out, but instead what if it all works out? Think about the anxiety, the worry, the sleeplessness, the inertia that would go away if you didn't expect the worst, but instead anticipated the best possible outcome. Now I realize that many of us downplay the possible outcome of any situation to protect ourselves from disappointment, embarrassment, even humiliation. However, that approach is likely hindering your chances of success, whereas asking ourselves to just imagine what if it all works out and our favor can exponentially increase your chances of a positive outcome. This isn't just positive thinking. It's really a profound ship that's grounded in neuroscience, energetics, universal principles and laws and spirituality. When you reframe your thinking this way, you don't just change your thoughts, you can change your reality. So if you've been stuck in doubt, fear or uncertainty in any area of your life your relationships, your business, your finances, your health then this episode is for you. Go grab your favorite drink, your tea or coffee or what have you and settle in, because we're going to go deep into why this question what if it all works out matters so much and how you can start living into that answer.
Speaker 1:So let's start by talking about the science behind the what if? Question. It all begins with your brain. Did you know that your brain is hardwired to focus on the negative? This is what we call negativity bias, and it evolved to keep us safe. Much earlier in human history, survival depended on being hyper-aware of threats, predators, natural disasters or dangerous situations. But fast forward to today, and that same mechanism is still running the show. Your brain's default mode is to think what if it doesn't work out? It's trying to protect you, but this kind of thinking also keeps you stuck in fear and fear. So here's a staggering fact to ponder. On average, as humans, we have between 60,000 and 80,000 thoughts a day, and studies show that 80% of those thoughts are negative. And because your brain is efficient, it reinforces those negative patterns every day, deepening neural pathways that make fear and doubt feel almost automatic. So if someone asks you why you're being so negative, you can tell them you're hardwired that way. But here's the truth. While your brain may be hardwired this way, it's also capable of change. Thanks to neuroplasticity, you can actually rewire your brain's neural pathways to focus on possibility instead of fear. When you ask what if it all works out, you disrupt the negativity bias and create a new neural pathway. Instead of scanning for danger, your brain starts scanning for opportunities, solutions and evidence of success. This activates the Recticular Activating System, or the RAS, a part of your brain that acts like a filter and looks for patterns. You can think of it as your brain's personal assistant. Whatever you focus on, the RAS amplifies. So when you focus on fear, it finds reasons to validate that fear. But when you ask what if it all works out? The RAS shifts its filter to notice opportunities, connections and resources that support that possibility. Now ask yourself how could your life change if you trained your brain to focus on what could go right instead of what might go wrong?
Speaker 1:Let's go deeper into the energetics of this shift. Your thoughts don't just exist in your head, they generate energy. Every thought vibrates at a certain frequency Fear and doubt Low vibration. Hope and trust High vibration. Here's why this matters Energy attracts, energy Like attracts like. You don't get what you want. You get what you are. This is the basis of the law of attraction.
Speaker 1:When you're constantly thinking, well, what if it doesn't work out? You create a low energy state that attracts more fear, more worry, more limitation. But when you shift to what if it all works out? You elevate your vibration. And when your energy is aligned with hope and trust, you become a magnet for the people, opportunities and outcomes that match that higher frequency. It's like tuning into a station on the radio or on XM If you're tuned in to a station of doubt, that's all you're going to hear, but when you tune into the station of possibility, everything changes. The signal becomes clear. You start to notice solutions and synchronicities that were always there, waiting for you to align with them.
Speaker 1:Now let's connect this shift to universal principles and laws. While not a universal law in the same vein as the law of gravity, the law of assumption, which was coined by Neville Goddard, is often viewed as a universal principle within the metaphysical and spiritual teachings, and it suggests that our thoughts and beliefs significantly shape our reality. Simply put, what you assume to be true shapes your reality. When you assume that things won't work out, you unconsciously act, think and feel in ways that sabotage your success. But when you assume that everything is going to work out for your highest good. You align your thoughts, your emotions and your actions with that reality, and the universe responds in kind. This ties directly to the law of vibration.
Speaker 1:The law of vibration states that everything in the universe is in a constant state of motion. We refer to these movements as vibration, and the speed or rate at which something vibrates is called frequency. The only difference between one object and another is the rate of its vibration. So even solid objects that we perceive as static, like cement or a desk, are vibrating just at a very slow speed. Your body, on the other hand, vibrates at an extremely high rate. Our thoughts, like everything else in the universe, are energy and they vibrate at different frequencies depending on the nature of the thought. So when you elevate your vibration with trust and optimism and hope, you attract experiences that resonate with that higher frequency.
Speaker 1:From a spiritual perspective, when you ask, what if it all works out? You're not just changing your brain or shifting your energy, you're opening yourself up to divine support. When we're stuck in fear, we cling tightly to control, as if everything depends on us. But when we surrender to the possibility that things are working out, we co-create with the universe, the source, with God. This is the essence of faith-filled action, taking inspired steps forward with the trust that the how is being handled by a power greater than ourselves. When you release control and step into trust, miracles unfold. That the how is being handled by a power greater than ourselves.
Speaker 1:No-transcript. Here are four simple practices to help you apply all of this. Number one reframe your what-ifs. The next time you think, what if it doesn't work out? Pause and reframe it. Replace it with what if this works out better than I ever imagined. Visualize that outcome and feel the emotions of it already being true.
Speaker 1:Number two anchor your energy. Spend at least 10 minutes a day in a high vibration state. What does this mean? This means doing activities that induce higher vibration emotions love, kindness, optimism, peace, hope. There are so many ways to get there. This could be journaling about your dreams and goals, meditating on gratitude or visualizing success. Exercise and movement induce higher vibrations. Laughing can do this as well. Watching a movie that relaxes you makes you laugh, hugging someone for 10 to 15 seconds. Think about all of the wonderful endorphins that go through your body after expressing love or embracing. The key is to embody the emotions of joy, excitement, peace, hope, optimism. So anchoring your energy is number two.
Speaker 1:The third one is lean into surrender. I know this is hard when you're a high achiever, to think that you can let go and let God or let source. But I'm going to really challenge you to ask yourself where am I holding on too tightly? Let go of the need to control every detail and trust in the process. A simple mantra like I surrender to the highest good can create an instant shift. And number four allow your intuition to guide you.
Speaker 1:Listen for intuitive nudges and act on them. Allow your intuition to guide you. Listen for intuitive nudges and then act on them. That's taking inspired action. Trust that when your intuition is pushing you in a certain direction, that's the time to step forward. The universe will then take 10 steps to meet you.
Speaker 1:So let me ask you again how could your life improve if your default question was no longer what if it doesn't work out? But instead what if it all works out? Who would you become if you trusted that every challenge, every detour, every moment of uncertainty was leading you exactly to where you're meant to be? Your brain is listening, your energy is aligning and the universe is always conspiring in your favor. This week. I challenge you to hold this question close. What if it all works out? Whisper it to yourself when fear creeps in. Let it guide your thoughts, your energy and your actions. I'd also love to hear about how this shift transforms your life.
