EP48: The Peter Stevens Vic MX Show - Jnr Rd.1, Portland

Mental4Moto Season 3 Episode 48

The first round of the Peter Stevens Junior Victorian MX Championship has been run and won. With a record number of entries, the 2025 Junior series is off to a fantastic start, continuing the momentum from what turned out to be an amazing 2024 season.

Once again, the host club at Portland provided a track worthy of a State Championship, with the terrain shaping up over the weekend to challenge the most capable of riders and providing non-stop racing action.

In this episode, Mental4Moto host Pete Wolf is again joined by Vic MX commentator Kenny Watts to break down all of the major talking points arising from the opening round of the Junior Championship.

We also catch up with three of the racers that took part - KTM Junior Development Team's Cooper Ford, who raced his way to the podium in both 125 and 250 A-grade, Tahj Tehennepe who started his season strong with a second place overall in the 85cc B-grade BW class, and Oakley Herdman, who began her 2025 campaign with some blistering starts and a 4th place overall in the 85cc C-grade SW class.
