Knock Knock, Me Again
Knock Knock, Me Again
6: Review #1
This is my first "quarterly review".
I talk about how the experiment is going so far and muse about comedy-related things...
I expound my joke about physio tape, propose a new direction for the next batch of episodes, contemplate "non-funny" comedy, use Bo Burnham and Ricky Gervais as examples to questionably illustrate a point, muse over genre-blurring in popular media and how providing a lens through which to view something can transform it, use a couple of televised examples to embellish this point including Jonathan Creek, ponder the importance of providing accessible context, bring back my "lickadickaday" joke, play an extract from The Apprentice UK, consider subjectivity and influence, share some direct feedback I’ve received so far about this podcast and the comedy within, open up a little about my state of mind, tell you a story about working for an escape room company, share of one of my silliest daydreams, declare myself an artist, defensively justify why I should be paid for my work and apologetically ask for reviews on apple podcasts.
Disclaimer: The next 3 episodes after this one, when they are published, are supposed to be primarily funny. This particular episode though is supposed to be primarily reflective and/or informative.
