After a short break over the holidays, Mike and Luke catch up and ease back in with some lighthearted conversation—holiday snacks, Mike’s deep love for peanut butter (and why it’s banned from his house thanks to Sam’s allergy), and the strange reality of living in a future-sounding year without flying cars or drone deliveries.
From there, the conversation turns toward something deeper as they unpack this past Sunday’s sermon on prayer. The guys revisit the basics many believers quietly wrestle with: Does God actually hear us when we pray?
Mike and Luke explore the complexities of prayer within God’s sovereignty, how His answers don’t always arrive the way we expect, and how we often miss what God is doing because we’ve either moved on—or become so fixed on a specific outcome that we overlook the subtle changes He’s already brought about.
It’s an honest, thoughtful conversation about prayer, perspective, and learning to recognize God’s responses even when they don’t look like what we asked for.
