After a couple of weeks off, Luke and Mike are back catching up and unpacking this week’s sermon as they dive into the dramatic ending of Acts chapter 7. After delivering an epic sermon, Stephen boldly confronts the teachers of the law, challenging them on how they had completely missed the point of the law—and ultimately rejected and killed its fulfillment in Jesus.
The guys unpack the moment everything reaches a breaking point: the religious leaders lose their minds, drag Stephen out, and stone him to death. But what stands out most in Stephen’s final moments? Grace. An incredible, radical display of grace in the face of hatred and violence.
The conversation also turns to a young man standing nearby named Saul—the same Saul who would one day become the Apostle Paul. How does Stephen’s death connect to Saul’s story? Could this moment have planted seeds for what was to come?
