SPEAKER_00:

It's here for you. Welcome

SPEAKER_02:

to the Remedy Revolution Podcast. My name is Erin, and today's guest is somebody who I had the pleasure of meeting actually socially first, which was really exciting. She is an intuitive and spiritual coach, somebody who works with some amazing women, and I'm really excited to have her on to have some conversations about something that we don't often talk about here on the podcast. which is our spiritual health and how that impacts our physical state as well so thank you so much for being here this is

SPEAKER_01:

amanda merit Hi, Erin. Thank you so much for having me on the show. I'm so excited.

SPEAKER_02:

Absolutely. So tell us a little bit, first of all, how did you get into the whole coaching world and what was that journey and transformation like for you from the beginning to where you are now? Yeah,

SPEAKER_01:

I love when I get to reflect on this story because it just, it reminds me of the transformation and the process of growth that we're all continuously going through. And it's a never ending journey, but it's fun to reflect back on the beginning of this because it's, the story is to me kind of wild. So I was climbing the corporate ladder and this was back in 2012 I had a spiritual awakening and just for those of you as you're starting to listen to know a little bit more about the work I do too just you know so this makes a little bit more sense so I do a lot of intuitive and transformational and success work but more on the the spiritual energetic success energetic side for top leaders even some public figures entrepreneurs and And then I also train coaches to do the work that I do. So I have my own certification that I've had for the last six years. And so it's been a lot. So you can imagine there's been a lot to get me to this point. And back in 2012, I mean, I was always fascinated with angels, actually, always, even through college. And I was fascinated with the unseen world. I went to a bunch of intuitives and I was just always open to seeing that there could be something more beyond what we could see with the physical eyes. And that fascination really kind of stuck with me throughout the years. And back in 2012, I was a few years into my corporate career. I was in corporate staffing and climbed the ladder really fast to leadership and management. But something was missing inside of me. Like I felt like my dating life was a hot mess. I was successful in my career, but I felt empty and me be always being this sensitive being that I am highly intuitive, which I didn't even really know for most of my life that I was highly intuitive and sensitive and could feel all the emotions, not just of my own, but the world, you know? And so I kind of went into this depressive state, to be honest with you. And on, paper, it looked like everything was going really great. You know, I was walking in my pencil skirts, all dressed to the nines down my corporate halls and something was still missing. And it kind of sent me down this journey. And, and meanwhile, as I was praying to God and just questioning things in my life, you know, one, another getting ghosted by another guy, you know, thinking like, why is everyone else in these relationships? I feel like I have my shit together. Why not me? And it caused me to seek For answers. And because I hit a breaking point and I had to do something about it. And so rather than just wallow in my own emotions for any longer, I decided I'm going to get up and go to the bookstore. And I remember coming home with a stack of spiritual books, all sorts of different books, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Law of Attraction, books on angels. And right around that time, I went to a party, actually, my almost didn't go. the way and thank god i did one of my one of my really good friends it was her dad's 60th birthday party and i almost didn't go all of our friends were going though and i went i pushed myself to go and there's a woman there that was a family friend and she looked at me we're having a conversation and she's like you're a light worker that's why you've always felt different and i burst into tears i burst into tears we went to the back of the house it was that house I cried all night. It was like the biggest weight lifted off my shoulders. It was like a tears were actually a remembrance that I was different, felt different, sensitive for a reason. I'm going to cry, like just thinking about this now. And I remember crying all night long. We went out, you know, I remember we went bar hopping. I couldn't even think of anything else. I had to go home. And the next morning I woke up and I, something changed inside of me that day. And I went even deeper into my spiritual work and really realized that, you know what? The reason why I was attracting all of these half-hearted relationships and all this ghosting was because I wasn't valuing myself because a woman who values herself doesn't stick around for those types of relationships. She doesn't accept crumbs. And a switch went on and it was like, oh my gosh, I created this. So that means I can uncreate this and create something else. And I became obsessed. And then I started a spiritual blog early 2013, like If you know me, I'm like, let's take this and let's run. So I was so I was having all these breakthroughs. I'm like, I'm going to start my own blog just for fun. And in my corporate cubicle was writing blog posts when I probably shouldn't have been on my lunch breaks at any moment. And, you know, that blog led to me giving the cliff notes because it's so long of a story about taking it to Instagram. And then people started asking how they could work with me. In 2015, I took my first paying client. So I've been coaching for 10 years now, and it has led me on a whirlwind journey, not only in my personal life, in business, and worth at the core of all of it, of this transformation. My intuitive gifts blew open, and this became not just my passion, not just a business, but I'm getting emotional. I wasn't expecting this. Truly my calling.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, no, that's okay. That's okay. I think, you know, I think too often, um, so many of the people that I see in my homeopathy practice are really struggling with physical manifestations of what's going on for them spiritually, you know, and so often we see these people who, um, become unfortunately spiritually bankrupt for whatever reason you know they they get to this place where um they're looking for fulfillment outside of the the things that really that they're passionate about and so then um they reach a point where they just can't handle it anymore. Their body can't handle it anymore. And they see all of these things manifesting as autoimmune disease and cancers and even, you know, things like bowel discomfort or, you know, it can be something that is seemingly minor, but it's chronic and it happens over and over and over again because it's the body is physically telling you, hey, There's something out of balance here. So I think my question to you is when we notice those kinds of things on a physical level, how can we reconnect with the intuitive, more spiritual side of ourselves in those moments? A lot of us... shy away from, oh, I'm going to do an hour or two hour long meditation every day. So what are some of those little key moments that we can do to kind of come back to that spiritual grounding and that intuitive sense instead of pushing through all of the symptoms like we do so often?

SPEAKER_01:

And just looking for something to take, right? right, something to take to get rid of the symptoms. And while that is important as well, you know, our diet and cleansing our bodies and that sort of thing has also been huge for me recently, been doing a major detox and that's been supportive. But if we, a lot of disease is created actually by our emotions, unprocessed emotions. And that's one of the most important things to any sort of transformation or healing journey is because a lot of us, and I would assume Aaron, because you're so gifted and intuitive and talented and open, you probably attract a lot of people who are on that same vibration in a sense, you know, they're sensitive as well. And one thing I keep getting is a lot, maybe a lot of people or some listening to this have carried a lot of other people's emotional pain. And sometimes when we, Ooh, I just got chills. And when we carry that for others and that can manifest as our own health issues, and then also unprocessed emotion from the past. A lot of that can stem through, right? Like as kids, we're not really taught to feel our emotions in a healthy way. these days, conscious parenting is so much more, I think parents are realizing how to help their children and no one's perfect regardless, but feeling our feelings is so important and also having the tools to navigate that as well. And it's, it's multifaceted, multilayered person by person kind of thing. So, you know, even what I'm about to share might not be a one size fits all, but one thing that has really helped me and has helped a lot of my my students and my clients is first coming back to you. Coming back to you is so important every single day and checking in with yourself. And so often it's like, even what's coming to me right now is like a check-in. How is my heart doing today? Like, how am I mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually? Like check in all four really fast. It doesn't have to take an hour. I can't sit still for two hours, by the way. Most people might think like I, and I, I teach meditation. I do guided visualizations and healings that way. I can't sit still for that long. No, I go to other places. I can't, I just can't. I'm like high energy and it doesn't have to take that long in truth. It can be a micro shift. So for my busy moms or my busy clients who are traveling a lot, they're all over the place. It's a little micro shift that can help that open that door for healing. And the first thing is like filling ourselves up is so important. So yeah, you could check in and say, okay, what do I need to give myself mentally today? How's my mind doing? Is this a safe place for me to be in my mind right now, mindset. But that's not everything, right? Because we have, we don't want to just steamroll our mind with, you know, steamroll our emotions just with the mindset shift. It's all of it. It's all for, I always get shown it's like a table. Like if one leg is off, the table won't stand. And so then how am I emotionally? Because a lot of times we're depleted. We're running around giving to everybody else. Even in my work, I have to make sure I'm filling up because I gave a lot. to everyone around me, everyone around me, not just my clients, everyone around me. It's what I love to do, but if I don't fill up, right? And so when you, so think mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical every morning, that alone will change your life because, and you can ask your intuition what you need. And one day your heart might actually need a good cry for five minutes. If you can cry in the shower and cry in the bathroom for a couple of minutes, let it out. It's a, you know, we'll release endorphins, serotonin or serotonin. And then also too, it could be like, listen to a song today. Like maybe a song comes to mind, be intuitive with yourself. And then physically, maybe you haven't been moving your body. Maybe your body's like, sis, give me a green juice. Give me some greens. Let's add stuff in rather than take stuff out. Let's add in from a place of abundance and self nurturing. Because I know when I started doing that, all the answers started to show up, right? My purpose, I was led into my purpose really fricking fast. So I would say that's one of the first things to do. And then spiritually, what I would say, even two minutes of meditation is better than none. And I close my eyes, put some music on or in silence. Sometimes I'll do it. And just imagine yourself taking a shower of in light, like pure light, just showering your entire aura, your energy field, bask in the light, almost like you're charging up your cell phone, you're charging up your energy field, the source.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I love that. A shower in and of itself can be so healing. I think ultimately, you know, we, we negate the healing impact of water, you know, and it's, it can be so incredibly healing, just like we say, you know, go to the, put your feet in the, in the ocean and, you know, do those kinds of things. But even just a shower can be really, really helpful. Okay. So A lot of times I get particularly moms who feel very stuck. They've been very empathic. They're taking care of their kids. Most of the kids have some kinds of challenges beyond, you know, just a couple of, you know, sniffles or things like that. We're talking about more chronic challenges. And so they are very depleted. But the other thing that I find is that so often they'll tell me that they used to be very in touch with their intuitive side and that because they have gotten to this place of feeling so incredibly depleted that they have have either lost their ability to intuit things or they feel as though they um they can't trust their intuition anymore because they're not sure um if it's the you know the the what is it, you know, the mind chatter, if you will, or if it's an actual intuitive hit. So what would you recommend that they do in order to distinguish, you know, okay, is this just chatter or is this my intuitive self?

SPEAKER_01:

So for me, a lot of times it's taking a moment to just disconnect from even trying too hard to get a message because sometimes I'm trying like, What's the message? What should I do next? Sometimes we're chasing it and it wants to just flow in in another way. So that's one thing is if, if for that person, maybe some haven't just been taking the time to ask. And that can be one thing too, is just making some space to ask and really listen, get out in nature. I was being shown going on a walk. So someone listening to this likes to go on walks or is being encouraged to because I'm seeing trees. And so like getting out in nature, taking some breaths in and just asking what's the message today. Don't even try to force what it needs to be just to get, get yourself back in that rhythm, even a two minute walk, a five minute walk. walk. Let's make it easy rather than a chore, something simple, or while you're even driving, just, I do this all the time too. I visualize with my eyes open. I like, you know, pray and ask for support. So if you feel like you haven't asked lately, like maybe make, make that maybe that's your morning practice for a whole week or a nightly routine before bed. Okay. What is, what is my intuition trying to tell me and try to go general and not specific because sometimes it's like, Ooh, what's the answer to this health crisis? There can be a lot of emotion in that. And a lot of just like, Ooh, I've already asked so many fricking times. I don't know what the answer is. You know, try to go general first, just to start to wiggle your way back into trusting it. And then whatever comes through, make a pact with yourself that you're going to live by that message. So maybe it's like, Hey, go read a book. Maybe your intuition is like, make this for dinner or you know what? I have been getting guidance, like add more. I don't know. This is random, but I needed like to add a tumor, tumor into my diet or something. I get things like that. Yeah. take action on that immediately because that will start to gain trust again with your intuition and then also too like if you feel because I've had this I went through a health thing last year and the more I kind of asked what's the issue what's the problem what's the issue and I was chasing after the problem I couldn't allow the answer to be like given to me so I also asked please show me very clearly I'm ready to know like what what it is for me I had parasitic infection last year that I had die off happening. And I didn't know, like I was taking a lot of herbs and I didn't realize I was like having, we all have parasites, right? So like there's, that's a whole story in itself. And so that came through actually a friend of mine who messaged me. So like, I wasn't emotionally stable enough for me to get the answer at that point. Cause I was going through crisis. Right. So sometimes just staying open. And when you're asking to be shown some things, it can come through a person. It can come through a song. You can come through a billboard, a text message, anything. So if it's something like that, ask and stay open.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. I mean, so often, I think it's really just about the noticing, um, when you are able to open your eyes truly and, um, observe what's going on around you. I have an interesting story about that. I was in a training at one point and this woman had said to me that she wasn't able to eat anything with any seasoning on it, salt, pepper, any kind of seasoning at all. And I said to her, well, what happened right before that happened? Because it hadn't been her whole life. It had only been a year or something. But I mean, how horrible. She couldn't ever eat out anywhere because she, you know, everything has salt and pepper on it pretty much. And so, um, so I, uh, eventually I was reading a book one night and I, uh, you know, a couple of days later I turned the page and it was, I don't even remember what I was reading, but it said something about penicillin and it just, I don't know, a light bulb went off in my mind. I went up to her the next day and I said, Hey, um, did you by chance have penicillin? before this whole issue started and she said actually yes and so I detoxed her from penicillin and she never had the issue again so things like that I think you know when you're just open to receiving messages in the most unconventional ways, that's oftentimes when the most intuitive things really start to pop up. It's all about the noticing. It's not necessarily, so many times we ask for guidance, we ask for a message, and I mean this in the most broad way. It doesn't necessarily mean we're asking whoever we call God or Allah or whomever. It doesn't matter who that person is, that guide. If you're asking repeatedly, you have to listen for the answers. You have to understand that those particular answers will be given to you, but maybe not in the same way that you think they might come.

SPEAKER_01:

Very true. I love that story because I feel like God, our angels, spirits always trying to get through to us. I love that you saw that in a book and you just, you knew. Yeah. Yeah. It gives me the chills.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. So tell us a little bit about, I think so many people shy away from this whole idea of spirituality, maybe because they've kind of been sullied by a new age experience or a religious experience or these kinds of things. Unfortunately, I think there are many people people who parasitize their audiences, unfortunately. And so it becomes this very kind of dirty word, if you will. So tell me a little bit about what spirituality is to you and how do you distinguish or differentiate yourself from some of these things that maybe might not have our best interests in mind?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, you definitely need to, I would say, discern. in this industry. I have major chills. I have been someone who has been very picky with the energy that I will collaborate with or who I learn from or books I read because there are a lot of people out there and not everyone, unfortunately, is operating in integrity. And I can see through that because integrity is important to me. We're all human, so no one's going to be perfect at every single moment out there, right? Like, no, it's impossible. But I can see through a lot of that. And for me, I've kind of always just stayed in my own lane. Now, for me, I feel like anything that's extreme just doesn't work. That's my, in this lifetime, I've just learned this. I grew up Catholic, went to Catholic school all the way through 12th grade. And I honor and respect all religion. In fact, I have some clients who do go to church. But My method of spirituality is very God-based. And Jesus actually is one of my guides. I don't always say that out loud, but I do to my clients. They know. And I tend to attract a lot of people who believe in the Christ consciousness and Jesus and all that and want to be their best self. And to me, it's more... let's shoot up to God and it's more God-based than it is, you know, there, there, there's just different energies out there and you want to just be mindful of how things feel in your body. Is it empowering? Is it calling you back to trust yourself? Is it calling you back to trust your own intuition? Because even the intuitive work that I do with people, it's not me telling them what they have to do, or they're going to, you know, it's like we co-create their best life with with the visions I get and not trying to, does that make sense? Cause it's, it can get a little dicey too, even going to intuitives. I've even had my own experiences where you would never want to trust someone over yourself. And so it's really about sovereignty. And then also noticing how you feel when you're in someone's presence, right? When you're reading someone's book, like really use your own intuition to say that doesn't land with me, or that's not an energy that feels right. Because in truth, yeah, there are some icky people out there that are just in it to make a bunch of money and they're not really necessarily here to be of service. And, you know, I think the more you trust yourself and the more you listen to your intuition, you can see through it.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I think that's so true. So tell us, do you have any stories you'd like to share about maybe some of your clients, about some of the people that you've trained and some of the amazing types of transformations that they've been able to undergo? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I would love to. One person's coming to mind right now, especially in the coaching, as I mentioned to you, one thing that I do, how that came about and how really everything has come about for me in my business. And I don't know if it's been like this for you too, but it's been given to me. Like someone has showed up and sparked an idea or someone has asked like, hey, do you, help people with their spiritual businesses and i knew god was telling me it's time to now teach that to people because i was having success you know and so then i got to a point in my journey um getting to what i was going to share ducks but where people were asking me okay like how do i i was teaching them how to grow their coaching business but they weren't necessarily that confident. They were asking, I was spending a lot of time inside, like helping them strengthen their confidence and their skills. And I'm like, well, this is an issue because I am not going to teach someone how to grow a coaching business if they do not believe fully in themselves and they need some support. And there's always growth to be had. So then I popped out, birthed out by certification in early 2019. And so that's been going ever since. And recently I'm just Because of the way the energy is shifting on the planet, a lot of people are being called into leadership roles, whether they're stepping into health coaching. I don't know if you're even finding that with some of your clients. They're feeling called to step into leadership in whatever way. It could be different. It could even just be in their corporate job. But people stepping into coaching as well. And so a recent current client of mine talking about intuition, like her gifts have completely blown open since then. being because what's really important for me is again helping people stand in their own trusting themselves and trusting their own guidance and I feel like you know when someone steps into the space because that's my pure intention to do that like everything starts coming alive like I want to see someone wake it awake awaken their own magic so that they can spend in whatever industry and whether they're a coach, whether they're a healer or whatever, be able to be their fullest self, but also be able to have those gifts. Because right now it's so important to be sovereign with the way the world is.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. So one of the questions I think a lot of people start to ask when they get into this, I think self-doubt um is especially when they're trying to do something that requires a certain amount of financial success there's a lot of shame and guilt and things that come up particularly around finances so i'm curious how do you reconcile this um you know real deep sense of spirituality and how do we reframe the conversation about money as an exchange versus you know, dirty money or whatever, whatever we might have coming up in our mind when we're really trying to achieve and accomplish something in our lives.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. So let me just ask a little bit further just to make sure I fully understand. So, you know, like when someone's growing a business or putting themselves out there for a job or something like that, like not feeling shame around receiving money for their gifts, more of that. Right.

SPEAKER_02:

Exactly. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. I know that can be really sticky. And I just saw like a white flash, like an angelic presence out of the corner of my eyes as they're saying this. So it's understanding too, a lot of this shame that comes up is not necessarily ours. And when you think about it, everyone out there, whether it's a job or a business, everyone's getting paid to do something in the world. And I always remind myself because the clients that I get to support, they're excited. They're excited to pay. They're excited to invest. Is everyone going to be excited to pay and everyone ready to invest? Are people going to have some sort of judgment about whatever it is? Depending on the level of consciousness of the person where they're at financially, their own belief system, their own shame around money. Yes. When that can happen, right? Judgment's going to happen. And so not being afraid to put yourself out there. And if you feel called to price yourself in a certain way, remember that I always tell my clients this, there is a car at every price point. There's a house at every price point. There's someone to serve at every price point. And sometimes along the way, you know, when, when you feel guided to like, for example, like my one-on-one is a premium these days and I run groups, but I have things at all different price points for people. And it's not because it's greedy. It's because there's, that is what I that's, just how I'm being guided to run my business, right? And it doesn't need to be an explanation around that. And then you'll call in the right people for whatever it is, you know? And knowing that, especially too, if you're offering a lot of free stuff and stuff at all different price points to be able to serve people, then really truth, just letting go of the shame, right? Because in truth, there are people out there who charge even a half a million dollars dollars a year for coaching with happy, happy clients. You know, I know people like that. So it's just understanding that it depends on who you're asking and also just making sure you're following your own intuition. And then also too, when you really do believe in your own pricing and your own rates and your own worth of your work, and you kind of like let go of other people's opinions. Cause remember there's 8 billion people in the world. So someone else could value you at a different level. Like here's a good example too. And my corporate job before I ended, I was there for seven years, climbed the ladder, held all these leadership roles. When I left, they said, Amanda, do you know you're making almost double than what other people in your role are making?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

I said, yeah, I was manifesting it. And you know, Someone saw my value at a different level. Right. And I was really valuing myself. I worked hard. I put the effort in. I was really good at what I did. I tried. My heart was really in it. And so that's just an example. When we value ourselves, other people will start to value us a little bit differently and it's not right, wrong, good or bad. And yeah, you kind of have to just let go because, um, Sometimes there's just lack programming in the world, but, but also on top of that, there's just, there's clients at every price point. So it's not good, bad, right or wrong.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, no, I think, um, you know, this comes up a lot, um, in the healing professions. And I think a lot of that, especially, um, coming from the world I did where I was having to heal both myself as well as my child, um, um, You know, there was a lot of conversations around, you know, oh, well, you know, everybody, you know, you're charging too much or they're charging too much or this or that. And you should just give away your expertise for free and all of these things. And I remember feeling... you know, a sense of imposter syndrome, I think towards the beginning, because I was thinking like, wow, you know, I know how difficult it is and how, you know, much of a struggle it is as a parent from, you know, that side of things. So, you know, maybe they're right. Should I, maybe I should, you know, give them everything that I have. And, and ultimately, you know, I think I finally got to a place where I had to realize that, you No, I mean, people are asking me these questions because they value what I have to say. And until I start valuing what I have to say and putting a price tag on it, because we've all got to do that at some level in order to survive in this structure of a world that we currently exist in, that is really what shifted things for me And I'm still moderately priced, but I feel like that really helped me to gain clarity that there were so many people who were looking for what I had to offer for the experience that I had and all of the things that I had gone through, both personally as well as professionally. So I think that's a really important point.

UNKNOWN:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

It is. There's one other thing I wanted to say on that too. And sometimes it's, it's just depends what room you're in because there can be someone we've had, you know, even back-to-back calls for my certification. I'll be so open and honest about this. We've had back-to-back calls when people were interested in my cert and someone saying, I could never afford something like that. And then the next person say, I thought you were going to be charging more conversations. And there's nothing wrong with a person that thinks that that's, you know, expensive or high, there's no judgment on that, but it's just, it just is what it is. You know, there will always be different people who, who are at a different place. And it's, this is why we have like other, again, opportunities to support people in different ways that may be a premium. And you know what, sometimes I randomly will do single sessions, like, okay, 10 spots at a really special rate for people that Typically, like I don't do single sessions normally. So I'm like, this sounds really fun. Plus I feel intuitively like people need, would want this right now. So who wants this? And then randomly I'll put stuff out there like that too. But you also have to think of your energy, your time. And from a business standpoint, like you have a lot of other things on your plate. You have children as well to look after and you can't overgive and pour from that cup. And like, and I feel like the more, again, you, the self-value thing, when it comes back to that, sometimes it's a small tweak and just wait a second. No, no, no. This is highly valuable. And then when you do that, you'll attract all these people that also that's easier for.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Okay. So I happen to know that you are also interested in astrology. So tell me a little bit about that side of you and does that play a role in your coaching business as well?

SPEAKER_01:

You know, I dabble a little, I, for a while, I didn't touch it at all.

SPEAKER_02:

And

SPEAKER_01:

so maybe like a year ago, I just, I asked him like, whose belief system is this? Is this my belief system that we, you know, that we can't, and it wasn't for any sort of, oh, this is bad or negative. I don't like to be, I don't, I don't think that being obsessed with one thing, like going hard in it is healthy for anything. Like if I only lived by one way every single day, not healthy. I feel like life is the melting pot. And so recently in the last, maybe like year or so, I have paid attention to that a little bit more and it really is fascinating. And it really is powerful to understand a little bit more about ourselves and it can help us. It can help us to know maybe what we need to work on as well and if you resonate with some of the things you know i always look at the the sun moon the rising that's fun to look at your north node where you're moving towards in this lifetime i'm a capricorn sun makes total sense for me because i love to be at the top of the mountain it's like the mountain right so like love to be at the top leadership and helping people with their wealth and money too like and people who are successful love that i feel like it's part of my purpose it's a part of why i'm here and That also helps me to be unapologetic about that and know that that's aligned with my higher purpose. And I'm a Pisces rising, so it's very intuitive. That's where my watery side comes in. Aries moon, fiery, right? So that can be fun. But I also think that not getting too hung up on that as well, because then it can be, oh my gosh, the moon's in this today and I can't go outside. Let's not live by that in a way that's not healthy.

UNKNOWN:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I think that's such an important point. So often I think we take ourselves or our belief systems so incredibly seriously that we have to abide by really strict guidelines that aren't ours. There's somebody else's. And so ultimately, I don't know, I find it enjoyable to look at. I'm an Aquarius sun. So, and I'm a total Aquarius. I'm, I'm a total weirdo. So, so I, I totally resonate with that. And I find it interesting and fun. And I do think somehow, you know, it plays a role in how I express myself, you know, and how I show up in the world. And so anyway, I just thought it was, was interesting and fun because I definitely see you as a Capricorn for sure. Okay, so tell us a little bit about when you're coaching other coaches. So what is it that you're primarily focused on? Are you teaching them techniques and tactics? Are you helping them work on themselves primarily so that they are then that vessel to be able to be an effective coach? What does that process look like?

SPEAKER_01:

It is all of it. So it is a very, very in-depth process because my whole thing is when you are really embodying what you're teaching and what you're helping your clients with and you're living it, you're walking your talk, people will feel that and you show up and you be yourself and you're able to know yourself. with the tools that I teach how to walk people through transformation. So there's literally 19 modules just on coaching mastery skills, but it's, it's, there's a week on so many different things. And so I do get them a structure like exercises to like kick off their first session with a client. This is about a lot of the work that I teach is like future self activation, highest future self. So they are coming in and they know who they want to become when they come in. And so they're, learn the tools to be able to help their client to do that, to create and step into a higher reality, really, and activate a higher version of themselves, but also go on that road of transformation that's required. A transformation, really, we have to become a version of ourselves that we've never been. We want to be in that experience. And again, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. So we, yeah, so it starts off with a kickoff and they are doing personal reflection. So they're not only learning exercises and tools, but they're doing them themselves. So every week there's reflection for them to anchor in. So there's a week on the masculine and feminine energy, right? And, and healing from the past. There's, the whole masculine healing with relationships with men. Like there's a whole week on that. Like we go really deep into, there's a week on sacred geometry and like the more esoteric stuff of working with energy for healing. And there's a whole intuition toolbox, awakening their own gifts. So, and then there's, you know, mindset stuff. Cause we got to also have that in place too. And how do we help our clients, to have transformation, hold them accountable, right? Be the best leader we can be. So it's robust. And then it takes them into two to three months of business coaching after that. So it's in-depth. And the reason why I'm doing this again is because there are, like we talked about earlier, there's a lot of people who might not know what they're doing when they're doing spiritual coaching work. And they think they might, but then they get in there and they're like, oh man, like how do I handle this? Or how do I do this? Or you know, they just show up to a session and they say, what do you want to talk about today? But I don't do that. I come in and I ask for guidance and I know what my client's working towards. So I'm leading the client versus them like leading me. They're going through change. So yeah, it's definitely in depth. It's something that I created and have just been perfecting over the last six years.

SPEAKER_02:

So, so often, um, I see a lot of women, myself included, who have really had to step up into a masculine role and not necessarily by choice. into that role because they don't have the support around them to be able to handle all of the things that life throws at them. As a kid, for example, when you're dealing with those kinds of issues, a lot of times we have to get very in our masculine. And so a lot of the women that come to me, a lot of the moms that come to me are really struggling with this sense of reconnecting with the feminine. In fact, I I just had a client the other day and I said, you know, if, if you were to imagine your ideal scenario, what would that be? And she said, you know, oh, well, I want to be able to be physically strong and I want to be able to handle, uh, her son is older to be able to handle any of his behaviors and, um, you know, physically, and I want this and that. And I said, wow, okay. Um, I said, well, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be, you know, physically healthy. Um, However, is this you stepping more into the masculine or is this you being truly authentically yourself? And she said, yeah, you're right. This is me projecting what I want the masculine in my life to be able to do is And so I'm trying to fill that role. So how do we balance this masculine and feminine energy in today's world? It feels so complicated these days. I'd love to hear just your thoughts on that.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, there is a really big shift happening in the feminine right now. And so I'm glad we're talking about this because this is actually one of like the key things I talk about, key pillars I talk about. Because one, I've had to work on it myself. I have straight up chills. But a lot of people who find me are burnt out in either because of their business or they're a single mom running a business. Both doing both at the same time and energies moved out of my throat when I said that. So let's talk about that. So I want to give a good example. One of my really longstanding clients who again has a business, divorced and depleted. Two children from the past marriage and not a very good connection with the past partner. So, you know, my client really had to work on cleaning up her own side of the street without needing somebody else to clean up their side of the street, which sometimes is... has its own challenges in itself, but she was very depleted, depleted, just running from one thing to the next, you know, from, you know, helping her kids out and then running into, to her business, which is a brick and mortar business. And so running into that. And so what I can say is everything has transformed for her in that. And she actually met a partner and they've been together for well over a year now, which is exciting. She never, ever thought she would ever date someone ever, ever again. I'm telling you, ever again. And so this is chipping away at a process. This is a transformation in itself, but one by one, we worked on her keeping her heart open, even when she wanted to shut it, even to her employees and even to work in and really making time for her to receive and, and just trying to micro moments of I'm going to pause and let myself receive, even if it was a minute, even at right. The act of that was shifting things in her energetic field, right? Because she's used to giving, doing, Controlling all these things. And when we let go, we even let go of control because that's the masculine, right? We can allow the support to flow in and say, you know what? I am worthy of being supported. And that was probably one of the things I had her do is walk around and just say, I am worthy of being supported and get uncomfortable receiving support. and not necessarily even having to ask it, ask for it, you know? So she started to shift that belief system and inside herself and started to just have fun and play again, because that's the feminine too, is like, I'm open to receiving support. And I'm like, just have fun and play. And so if you find a penny, you have to pick it up on the street, like silly things like that. Cause just getting it out of like the heaviness sometimes to these micro movements and, and I swear to you, like it was six months later. She's like, now I have too much time because we worked on then also taking steps to make changes, right? Like hiring more people for her and her business. She needed to do that. Offboarding some things, saying no to more things that were actually no's, right? Like having boundaries, taking care of herself more emotionally, right? And taking space for herself. And yeah, maybe she, she could go out and have fun and get a sitter for one night. Right. And, and to just like let more people in a little bit more. And then she ended up with a lot more inner work that we did, but she did end up meeting someone and he was already in her. awareness and she didn't even know because she had so many. So the feminine is powerful and it can, again, just be one, one little thing at a time. Like, how are you at receiving? And really, I would say receiving I'm getting for this group receiving and then practicing, letting go of control as best as you can.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. So, um, For those who might not really be familiar with this conversation of masculine and feminine, what are some of the qualities and characteristics that would define each of those?

SPEAKER_01:

To me, the feminine is the oracle. She is playful. She's powerful, but she's that queen energy. I'm here to wake up the feminine queens. There's many different feminine archetypes, but the feminine queens, those who... embody this radiance and the self-worth that's not loud or boisterous or I'm better than you or manipulates men or manipulates other people. Like she's just open heart working on herself, right? allowing the current to carry her a little bit more, but still standing in her power. And so the feminine to me is, again, this Oracle, like we have these gifts, the feminine, those who we all both energies, right? But when we turn our feminine on, that is when we can also wake up more of our intuition, our God given gift. And for those who are women, we do have that gift more tapped in than men. It's, it's just how we're wired. It's just true. Not that men can't be intuitive too. They can't a hundred percent. It's one of our gifts. That's why we feel emotions much more deeply than the masculine. It's, you know, it's scientific, it's proven. They have emotions too, but we feel deeper. We have cycles and all these things. And then to me, the masculine is this is really meant to be the divine masculine, this grounded support. And we have that inside of us too, right? So the masculine is more of this like, really actually allows the feminine to, he supports the feminine. She actually leads the spiritual realms and he leads the physical realms. And so- the masculine is more structured. The masculine is more, I've got this, let me jump in and swoop in and make this happen. And when the feminine feels like worthy, then the masculine will feel that inspiration to step up and take the action. And when it comes to the relationship with ourselves, I always say our feminine energy holds the vision and then our masculine energy is like, baby, I got you. Let me run the football to the end of the field.

SPEAKER_02:

So I just had a message come to me of the female is the dreamer and the masculine is the doer. So the dreamer and the doer. That's

SPEAKER_01:

exactly, that's perfect. Yeah. That's perfect. I got chills. That's exactly it. Yeah. That's exactly it.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Yeah. I love that. And I think, you know, when we as women, are stepping into more of the feminine roles and letting go of some of those more masculine roles. It allows space to be and to feel free and to feel safe and to feel as though there's so much more that we can have the capacity for, then, you know, things like opening up our intuition and being able to, to even nurture and assist others in a much more present and loving way, because we know that there's somebody there who are, who will be able to handle all of those things. You know, it, in the background, if you will, it's like the quiet, I just think of like the quiet bystander who like is just waiting for, um, direction. Okay. This is what you need me to do. Okay. Got it. Yeah. Yeah. Perfect. I love that so much.

SPEAKER_01:

All right.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay. So, um, we are now, uh, ending and getting to the end of the podcast where I ask every single one of our guests eight rapid fire questions. These questions are just designed to give us a little bit of insight into who you are and what makes you tick. And, you know, they're just fun. So, all right. Number one, if you could choose only one natural remedy for the rest of your life, what would that be?

SPEAKER_01:

One, this one, I read this in the questions. I'm like, I, how do I choose just one? Honestly, this is going to maybe sound really random, but water. Yeah. Because lately that's been my thing to making sure I'm getting enough hydration, but some of us are so dehydrated and water can fix a lot of things.

SPEAKER_02:

Absolutely. Number two, tell us something most people don't know about you.

SPEAKER_01:

Ooh, what most people don't know about me. Ooh, well, I actually was, most people probably don't know that I'm, a lot of people think I was born in California because they always, they've seen me for years be California flying around everywhere. I'm actually from Detroit, Michigan, just outside of Detroit. Yeah. Since till early twenties. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Very cool. All right. If I were to compile a playlist of happy music, what song would you suggest be added?

SPEAKER_01:

Ooh. The song that comes to me is, you only get what you get. That song. I know it's going to be radical.

SPEAKER_02:

Nice. And you're going to sing it for us too. I will. That's awesome. All right. What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

SPEAKER_01:

My favorite guilty pleasure? I like... candy. I do, but I, but I don't eat any dyes. So it has to be like smart sweets or something that's a little bit better. Yeah. I won't touch any of those things. So, but I do love like a sour candy moment.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh, got it. Got it. Those little peach rings or whatever. That's funny. All right. What is the most influential book you've ever read?

SPEAKER_01:

The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shin. She wrote it in the 1920s. She was way ahead of her time.

SPEAKER_02:

I think I've read that, but it's been a really long time, so it might be worth a second look. Awesome. What does the word revolution mean to you?

SPEAKER_01:

Revolution to me means change, like great change.

SPEAKER_02:

And what does the word remedy mean to you?

SPEAKER_01:

Remedy to me means healing.

SPEAKER_02:

And lastly, if you could impart one piece of wisdom onto our listeners, what would that be? I

SPEAKER_01:

just saw go for it.

SPEAKER_02:

I

SPEAKER_01:

don't know why I just saw those words, go for it. I feel like this right now is a time of rapid, such rapid change. It's a revolutionary time really. And if you are feeling called to follow your own passions or take care of yourself or whatever it is, whatever you're taking away from this podcast, go for it. Like what is, what's your takeaway? Do it. Cause it's going to change your life. Maybe that will be the remedy that you needed today that sometimes we brush it off, right? Like, Oh no, a little walk outside in nature, asking my intuition can't change my life, but what if it can?

SPEAKER_02:

Absolutely. I love that so much. Where can people find you, Amanda?

SPEAKER_01:

You can find me on my website at amandamerit.com or Instagram or TikTok. And that my handle is theamandamerits on both.

SPEAKER_02:

Awesome. Well, it has been an absolute pleasure. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you to all of our listeners. I really, truly appreciate you.
