Why I Returned to Church

Growing up in church backsliding was not an option. I stayed in church regardless of whether it was good for me or not. But after being church hurt and having experienced soul wounds, I didn't want anything to do with Church or church people. Hearing a preacher talk about Romans 2:4 caused me to rethink my broken relationship with Christ. I returned to Christ, but I refused to return to church as usual. I started building a relationship based on what I learned directly from the bible and not what I learned as behaviors in church. I discovered that Christ came preaching the kingdom and not preaching the church. I begin to shift my focus from religion to having a relationship with Christ. Now Knowing that I am entitled to a relationship with the Father through Christ's resurrection. The Church is created for the people as a place for believers to learn, grow, and thrive. I needed to reconstruct my view of the church and its placement in my life and now I have returned to do just that. The Kingdoms Way.
