24. Lessons I Learned While Living in Costa Rica
SEASON 3 IS UPON US.
I am back stateside after living in Costa Rica for 4 months and sailing in the Bahamas for a few weeks. After taking a bit of a hiatus to refocus how I am showing up in the face of my brand WE ARE BACK BABY. A little time off grid is good for the soul.
In this week's episode, I am sharing the major takeaways from my time spent volunteering & staying in a conscious community on a permaculture farm in the Grecia Mountains of Costa Rica.
I had more time than I have ever had before to connect with myself. I shed layers and discovered ones I didn’t know existed. I came face to face with my ego in a way I never have before. I saw my insecurities, fears, judgements, and self sabotaging thoughts and behaviors (that I still wrestle with) in a light that I simply could not ignore. I communed with my spirit and took time to deeply recognize and appreciate my inherent value, my strengths, my talents, and my skills.
I learned about how I show up in relationship to strangers, peers, my loved ones, in my business, in service, in the pursuit of my goals, in my wellness practices, and in my commitments.
My BIGGEST realization: If I could not relax there, I am not going to be able to relax anywhere. Let's talk stress. Your environment is not the entire problem, it is probably YOU.
