Artist & Place
Artist & Place is a bi-weekly podcast with artist, Kim Carlino, interviewing artists to uncover the connection between place, landscape and the creative process. This is a podcast that goes beyond the work we make to get to the why behind it and what has brought us to that why, and how can a deeper look at our places of origin and memories of place affect our work. These conversations meander and explore many territories that will illuminate and inspire.

Tim McFarlane - Time & The Cracks Between Things
Episode 10 is out! So excited to share this conversation I had last month @ Crane Arts with visual artist Tim McFarlane! Philadelphia Artist working in painting, murals, drawing, and installations! This was a great conversation meandering through so many topics! It’s a conversation about making the work YOU want to be making and about how art is life & life is art! It’s a conversation about ideas reemerging to find their right time. It’s about the residue of things, in-betweenness and a multitude of influences including growing up in Philly, comics, graffiti and design. It’s a conversation about being a full time artist, making that pivot and how being a full time artist is about mindset! Check out the show notes for links to things discussed. Tim has work in SUBMERGED: A Changing Global Climate, an exhibition that just opened on Earth Day and runs through July 29th, 2023.
