PART 1 OF 2: On June 25, 2009, prolific pop icon Michael Jackson was found unresponsive at his home in Los Angeles. Despite attempts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the age of 50. His death was determined to be the result of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication, and his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for administering the drugs.

The world was in collective disbelief at the news of Jackson's death, and it sparked a massive outpouring of grief and tributes. Fans and admirers around the globe mourned the loss of the King of Pop, and his death was widely covered by the media. Despite the controversy and scandals that surrounded him in life, Jackson's music and impact on popular culture continue to be celebrated and remembered, and his legacy as one of the greatest entertainers of all time remains intact.
