I met Dora at the first Unconference and she’s become a fixture for the event and the community. Dora is the founder of Thrive Ventures, a social impact venture builder here in Thailand. As someone who’s not in the impact space, I find the way Dora speaks about it both approachable and fascinating. She’s able to distill a concept down to it’s essence and explain it in plain terms – without any jargon or pretension. Which, to me, means that she understands it extremely well.
In this conversation, she educates me on the recent popularity of the term “regenerative,” why the biggest problem about the Social Impact space are the people, and what has captured her attention so much that she contracted Dengue fever for it. We also cover one of my favorite tidbits about Dora – why she speaks English like she’s from California. And It’s not because she lived there.
