Steffen:

Hey Dominik.

Dominik:

Oh, hey, Steffen.

Steffen:

How do you integrate social media into WordPress? That is a tough question Like.

Dominik:

What do you mean by that?

Dominik:

Like this is the first question that you have to ask, because a lot of the times, clients actually come to us and they ask exactly that question.

Dominik:

Yes, i want to integrate WordPress into social media or social media into WordPress, and for us there are basically, like normally, three different ways how you can implement or integrate these two things together.

Dominik:

The first one is how to embed posts from social media. So when the client has a social media account and regularly posts there and they want to show the streams or timelines or whatever on their website, then this would be embedding social media content onto your WordPress website. Right, then you have the possibility to publish content that you publish on WordPress, like on your WordPress website, also on other social media channels. So this would be like the second way. So if they don't have a designated social media account or they want a streamline, like they're publishing, like workflow, then they might go that route. Or I don't want to, like, put a value on things, but another way is how do I make my content that I publish on my WordPress website, how do I make that look good or great on social media platforms? And yeah, i think first you have to distinguish between the actual goal, and then we can find an answer to that question.

Steffen:

And I think there's one more. Even, i think you could think about social media integration in terms of having your link to your social media profile on your website, like in the footer or something like that, and maybe even even one more beyond that, like having share buttons on your website to share posts and pages. This used to be very popular back in the days. It's not that popular anymore, but it still happens. So again, yeah, right, we get this all the time as a briefing, like it just mostly says, and also consider social media integration into your in your proposal for the WordPress website, and this is yeah, what do you mean? All of that, some of that, let's figure that out.

Steffen:

Yeah and we have recorded a couple of episodes around that topic, so go check them out in the links below. Yes, is that it Could be? Could be.
