A few years ago, I met artist Abraham Reyes — heir to the world’s largest natural pearl, the Giga Pearl, appraised at $135 million.
But instead of locking it away, he turned his inheritance into art.
He uses real gems and wild pearls to create sculptures that question what value really means — in art, in markets, in culture.
