ADHD Untangled
Have you ever felt the need to change who you are in order to fit?
me too!
After years of trying to be everything and everyone—party girl, housewife, rebel, addict, yogi (you name it)—I realised none of it worked. Why? Because I wasn’t broken, and I didn’t need fixing.
Welcome to the ADHD Untangled Podcast, where we ditch the masks, embrace who we really are, and stop trying to fit into boxes that were never made for us.
I’m Rosie Turner, an accredited ADHD coach, certified ADHD trainer in the wellness industry, yoga & Pilates instructor, and founder of The ADHD Movement.
Getting diagnosed with ADHD later in life finally made sense of the chaos—like 8 failed driving tests, impulsive life decisions, and a rollercoaster of trying to survive in the corporate world. Now, I’ve dedicated my life to supporting the ADHD & Autistic community and helping wellness professionals embrace their differences while making a real difference.
This podcast brings together my two passions: movement and ADHD. We’ll dive into real stories from real people, expert advice from the wellness world, and talk about how we can use ADHD as our superpower.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s untangle your ADHD and show the world what you’re really made of.

S5 E6 - Untangling ADHD & Life with Alexis Lee: Sex, Shame and Community
Some of us don’t stumble across ready-made communities.
Some of us have to build them - and today’s guest knows a thing or two about that.
Today I am joined by the one and only Alexis Lee – Founder of Style Me Sunday, author of 'Feeling Myself', community leader (Black Enough, Healing Myself), psychotherapist in training and apparently, the only person who could get me talking about sex without wanting to crawl under the table.
We dive into it all — the stuff nobody taught us growing up.
From convent school guilt, to figuring out what love really means later in life, to how shutting down the sex chat only fuels more shame.
We also get into how ADHD messes with body image, self-esteem, intimacy... and basically, how it all ties back to connection and community.
From setting up a spontaneous fishing community (yep, you read that right) to navigating the chaos of daily life, Alexis shares her honest take on what it actually means to live authentically.
🧡 ADHD, sex, shame and why it’s so tangled up in how we see ourselves
🧡 Building your own community when none of the ones out there feel right
🧡 Dissociation, energy crashes and the bits of ADHD nobody claps for
🧡 Breaking free from rigid rules and finding your own rhythm
🧡 How the sea - and a good rant - can do wonders for your soul
This episode is for anyone who’s tired of trying to fit a mould that was never made for them, who’s craving real connection and who’s ready to own their messy, beautiful story. 🧡

Hoping that eventually, something would work and something would fix me and make me normal…
None of it ever did.
