Secret Son Podcast Trailer

Hi. I'm Mike Trupiano. 

I knew from a very young age that I was adopted. I wondered every day, 'where is that family?' 

Sure, I'm with a family now but where is that original family? 

I would lay awake at night thinking about them, wondering. I'd wake up in the morning and my curiosity was racing. 

At some point, I started searching. 

Every day during the search, I would wake up thinking, 'today might be the day.' 

Suddenly, it actually was the day. 

Search over. 

Family found. 

First mom. Then dad. 

Amazing! 

But finding family comes with its own set of challenges. 

Sure, I finally know people I look like, people I'm related to. I've seen photos of ancestors. I know family history but there are still quite a few challenges. 

This is a podcast about that search, the time leading up to it and the long road after it. 

My quest involved a gun-toting, wise-cracking female detective, a DNA website and more than one psychotherapist I drove to the verge of tears. 

I'll talk about my story. I'll have guests. We'll talk about adoption, women's rights, identity and, above all, secrecy.
