WORD He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Psalm 23:3 THOUGHT Modern technology has given us, with almost flawless accuracy, easy access to directions to any geographical location. Still, technology’s accuracy is not completely flawless. For instance, a car trip to a new restaurant in town using my GPS led me to an open, empty field a couple of miles away from my destination. While close to accurate directional guidance is appreciated, flawless guidance is certainly preferred. As humans, not only do we desire and expect precision in most of the things we do, but precision is often vital for their success. We often have to count on precision for safety. Precision is necessary when designing a skyscraper, building a vehicle or house, or performing surgery. While precision developed by human hands is impressive, we fall incredibly short of the accuracy and precision of God. He desires to lead and guide his children on the right paths with divine precision for our safety, our good, and to bring honor to his name. PRAYER Father, you guide me with your care and skill. Lead me by your Holy Spirit to live my life bringing honor to your name. Amen. Don’t let us yield to temptation.
