Speaker 1:

RSM Teen Podcast is a podcast to engage and encourage teenagers in their walk with the Lord. We desire you to crave God's word and embark on a journey of making it a daily priority in your life. Now meet your guest of the day.

Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on, teenager? I wanted to hop on quick, not rehearse anything, but the Lord just put this on my heart and that is this what is on your heart, what is inside of your heart? Do you have feelings or things that naturally end up coming out because of the intense and the desires of your heart? We know that the Bible says for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. So a lot of different times I find myself in situations where there is a lot of frustration that comes out and naturally, I'm beginning to wonder why do I feel that way? Why do I naturally have the urge to express myself or to be right in a situation, or to maybe go at an individual? Because of the intense, maybe, of my heart, or because of different frustrations that I harbor in my heart, things that I haven't let go of? And so I want to ask you today what is on your heart, what is trying to come out, what is trying to express itself?

Speaker 2:

It's important to consider this, it's important for us to think about this because, truly, what's on the inside will eventually come out. We might be able to mask it for a little bit, we might be able to put it on the back burner for quite some time, but at the end of the day it will come out. And so let me challenge you with this Whatever's on your heart if it's the urge to use bad language or to tell a perverted joke, or to snap at somebody and go off on somebody give somebody a piece of your mind. Hey, give it to the Lord. Allow that thing that it is harboring and festering in your heart to turn that over to the Lord and allow him to do with it only what he can do.

Speaker 2:

He can make wrong those rights. He can take the urge and the desire to not speak certain things. Give individuals a piece of our mind, but let me challenge you with this have self-awareness. Understand what's on your heart. You might be able to mask it for some time, but eventually it's going to come out. Hey, have an amazing weekend. I'm praying for you all. God bless you.
